In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Watcher. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/cas...
Even though I do not use it, I recommend Minty Spire for people looking for various Quality-of-Life improvements: steamcommunity...

My mind was wandering at the start - I didn't see which character it was. As soon as Baalalord said he would immediately charge head long into three elites I knew it was Watcher. Only she could provide such warranted confidence.

The same day this video was uploaded I ran a run of similar silliness. Act 1 offered me 3 Talk to the Hands, 2 Tantrums, and a smiling mask. Eventually after visiting every shop I could, my final deck (which won against A20H) was 3 Tantrum+, 3 Talk to the Hand+, Inner Peace, and 3 apparitions to help get it all set up. It's rare to be able to beat the heart without taking damage at all, but that sure did it!

This looked like it would be a win on autpilot until the last few fights where I was like "Ok, still pretty hard"
I’m 47 minutes and 22 seconds into the video and haven’t seen a single alpha yet, I think this might be the wrong thumbnail

I feel a bit clickbaited, because those alfa were really more like a challenge side quest than what made the deck strong.
Hello Baalorlord ! I would really like to know, do you have or to you plan to make a spreadsheet of all of your mastery runs, made in such a way as to allow us to search for a specific card and watch the run in which you mastered said card ?
It would really help the viewing experience for me, I would be delighted if it already exists and I'm just bad at searching !

He walked into the shop and I thought to my self, "Oh, he should buy Orrery and look for more copies of Tranquility+."
Sure enough, he clicked Orrery, saw TWO copies of Tranquility, and drafted four cards. None of which were Tranquility.

I have no idea what's going on at 01:02:40. He has 11 blocks and takes an attack of 67. Following this, he keeps all his PV. What's this madness ?
What's PV? But if you're asking the reason why he didn't take any damage, it's because of the fossilized helix.
@@jhn9251 Thanks for answering. Oh I see :-) Usually, relics blick when used, which was not the case with the fossilized helix in this run. And my mistake: PV = HP ... but in french (english is not my native language).
Anyway, this guy is really good, I think he plays 2 games a day since the game came out
I have A20 heart wins with watcher and didnt know tantrum shuffles itself back into the deck. I feel like this video is just a long con gaslight.
Omega run
That being the third comment felt very fitting (three card plays required to get omega in play)
... but no decent attack cards starting act 3. Not a truly blessed run after all.

why do STS streamers seem to think the ‘Bottled X’ relics aren’t good? Always getting a good card in your initial hand is like one of the strongest things in this game.
For starters a lot of the time you just don't have anything that good to bottle; secondly even if you do, it's often worse than just getting a solid relic to further you gameplan (a clutch mummy hand, boat thing to shore up your turn 1/2/3, or even humble bag of prep.)
Also outside of like goated cards like offering, adrenaline, or heatsinks or the like most cards aren't so versatile you want them on turn 1 every single fight for the rest of the run.
There's just so many scenarios where they suck that you hate seeing them after a while.
Sure, a run with bottled seek+ or omniscience+ is probably gonna be pretty hype, but how many runs you have those cards ready for a bottle?
