- TREELON from Chaos Coretech printed in wood filament. It was a bit stringy, so I show how to use a heat gun to clear the strings. Also, printed in Prusament!

Hey Joel! You should check out hot air rework stations for soldering work. I've had really good results using mine for spot touch-ups on 3D prints (in areas where you can't use a full-sized heat gun). You can also use it to fix those discolored areas where you sand/scrape a model.

Could you use a good stiff bristle brush (like a toothbrush) to remove the bulk of the strands prior to applying heat? Even a brass bristle brush may work and as long as you don't scrub too hard or too long.

I prefer a .6 nozzle for wood, more detail than a .8 better flow and less clogging than a .4

Wood pla need to be printed hotter try raising the temperature to 230 C and it will reduce your propensity to clog doesn't guarantee it won't but it will help a lot. The only real solution as you found out is a larger nozzle

It would be cool to print one in a biodegradable material so you could hollow it and put seeds and fertilizer in it. Then it could be burried and a tree will grow where it is burried.

Joel I’m sure you have ways to contact Elon. I think you need to increase the size of the print and print in on the raise 3D plus. Then give the large print to Elon.

I hate to be that guy..... but there are 3.5 to 7 billion trees deforested every year so 20 million trees aren't really going to do much. It's a really nice attempt and a start.
cool idea and wile the model isn't bad i do think for what you'r trying to do you could come up with a much better model.

You're not increasing carbon capture one erg if you plant a million trees.

While the idea and motivation behind teamtrees is one to encourage the real fact is... that it has little to none real impact.
But don't get me wrong, I support teamtrees if it could bring more awareness to people about global warning and that we do need to act and change. That's more important then for once plant 20 milj trees while in fact you should need to plant 40 milj trees .... a day.
But with your president known to be a climate change denier ah well... he promotes fossil energy, kills kyoto, publicly denies and ridicules scientist vs a symbolic 20 milj. trees. (pls look up Thunderfoot for numbers/facts)
I really wish that people would stop caring about team trees. What they're doing is pissing in the ocean trying to raise the tide. Feel good do nothing movement.
