Greetings from the U.S. Dan. I'm a big fan. With the mountain of work needing to be done on this place, a lesser man would be left weeping into his cornflakes. I absolutely love your spirit. Even when things go wrong, you remain undaunted and positive always looking for the silver lining in those clouds. You're an inspiration to us all.❤
Oh Dan, I about fell off my chair laughing with you when you (Re) exposed that window. Thanks for finding the fun on this Friday, and sharing with us!❤
It was painful watching my partner take a month to replace the balustrades on our front verandah, and the next job is for me to paint the outside of our two storey house 🤦🏽♀️ I don’t know how you do so much on your own, Dan, and keep your vision. You’re doing such an incredible job!
Wow Dan can't believe how well you breathed new life into that old now new farm.Great job. That was a blessing from God that the tornado did harm any of you or the property.
My goodness Dan, you are working so hard on this project. Your work is so good too, making everything as it should be, to a very high standard. As Cheryl S said, you are an insiration to us all. xxx
Dan! Did you treat yourself to a new wheelbarrow? It’s a beauty and you sure deserve the best tools and equipment!! More great work done today and ever closer to finishing this job 🎉❤
Hey Dan, you accomplished a lot for a Friday. Little by little, bit by bit, and boom, you'll be finished at the farmhouse and off to your next project. And we get to watch you 🙂
We had another snow storm last night & today, so not tornado weather here yet! Glad you and yours and your roofs are ok. Fun video today! See ya...tomorra ❤🙏from Michigan USA
Had a snowstorm in GB and Ireland, too. Looking forward to double figures on the thermometer come Monday. Still, the snow is preferable to the potential damage of a tornado.
You work so amazingly well with the lime mortar. My old 1850's house was built with lime mortar but no one here in the US knows anything about it and the old bricks are cracking because of it. Where are you when I need you? BTW, I'm 83 years old so climbing scaffolding like a mountain climber is not part of the scenario. Crack on!
Beautiful to expose the stone walls. I love that you are keeping the integrity of the building and keeping the true age showing. I love old historic buildings and I would have loved to live in a Château.😊 Once you finish with the alterations and design the garden it will look beautiful. Design a real old French garden will make your cottage look like a little château and with your wife and children safe dan le petit Château, vous pouvez vous consacrer complément à la reconstruction du grand Château. Je suis très impatiente de commencer à voir des résultats dans le grand château. Perfect work always take its time 😄
It is so nice how you are making this farm house like new again Dan. Love seeing what and how you clean and restore your home. Thank goodness you all didn't get any damage.
You certainly don’t take the easy road Dan. You pick the most beautiful look and get on with the hard work to achieve it! The pointed stones look fabulous already, even though only half way through the job.👏🥰
Amazing perseverance Dan …… ull be a master craftsman by the time ur chateau is finished👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 just love watching build progress no matter the length of vlogs …… it’s the journey that ur bringing us on that’s so interesting ……. KEEP VLOGGING DAN 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Dear Dan, I enjoy your work and especially the wall with the old stones. You are doing a really great job und 1000thanks for the inspiration to start also with huge projects...
Looking great Dan, but please use some eye protection and for that matter some safety boots. It only takes a tiny spec in your eye to leave you disabled. Safety first.
Connie the concrete mixer does a great job. Then Dan does his pointy, scubbing magic and hey presto! we have a fabulous wall, which will last for ages. Great job Dan.
my hands hurt watching you chisel away at that wall for hours. I don't know if working in the cold makes it easier or harder on your hands? Beautiful Job, something I know how to do but would definitely struggle with. You make it look painless.
Hi Dan, exposing the brickwork is your 'Trademark', and very nice too🥰You are of the breed that loves to work alone, am I right. although as we have seen you needed the Tree Feller.
I was reading about the tornado in the creuse, the poor people that were affected had major damage done! Some friends 5 minutes away from us (charente) had a mini tornado the same day that did damage a small bit of their barn roof, they said the same thing happen last year 😬
Seem to remember you saying you were a ‘that’ll do type of guy’. Don’t agree. You’re attention to detail and making sure you get it right shows how dedicated you are. Keep up the good work!
I really enjoy your videos. I also enjoy doing things myself like you. However, you seem to never take a break from the work schedule. Where do you get all the energy? Red Bull three times a day?
Good morning team , Aww Dan you will be pointing walls in your sleep ... looks amazing I must say 🤩😍 my phone died so once the panic was over i found my old laptop... soo i dont miss my daily fix of Escape to France .......

We all agree, Dan is a great worker and a wonderful example for his sons.

So glad the weather was on your side, Dan! I admire your patience so much on this wall work.
The stone looks fantastic.

Looking great, I think the lightening up you did on the weakened barn roof might help it in high winds :D
I still can't believe you are this (1) man construction company doing it all! Your the man, Dan, Crack On!
Excellent progress Dan! It's really taking shape quickly now.

Hi from South Africa Dan. I admire you for not giving up. You need to wear a mask to protect your lungs when working with polystyrene and dust.
The wall looks much better pointed instead of the old render. 👍
