Wow, this totally reads like a sponsored ad, I was thinking that he was gonna be talking about blooming and motion and breaking down how it handles colors, and highlights, and really getting into the black levels, but maybe that's another vid, and this is just the preview one.
I got one the other day. I did some adjusting and OMG this TV puts out an amazing pic. So happy I bought it. bought and open box and saved around $700 on the TV. Cant ask for a better deal.
JUST BOUGHT THIS EXACT TELEVISION! MAN! It's just damn nice right out of the box! Some televisions you have to tweak the color, brightness and so forth but this is the first I've had where it's perfect from the moment I turned it on! Sleek, tall, low bezel, sound is even great! I can't say nothing but good things about this television and would recommend it to anyone looking for an 80 inch or higher.
My LG 86" had issue so I used my Verizon asurion home protect coverage to file a claim. They gave me choice of a Samsung, LG (another model) and this model LG QNED. You have me so excited for it to come in a couple days. I wasn't expecting them to offer such a good replacement. They have an awesome service.
I just purchased the 75" version of this for $1,599. Overall, I'm pretty happy. It's a great upper mid range TV. There are other Mini-LED TV's out there that cost more, including 2021 models from LG, but nearly $1,000 more for a better model is hard to justify. This TV gets BRIGHT has great blacks (in my limited testing). Some blooming sometimes depending on what you are displaying. Coming from a Samsung 55" TV from 2012, this is quite a step up for us. My only gripe is the remote is not backlit, something my Samsung from 2012 had, and not sure I like that the TV turns on when I turn on the PS5 because sometimes it will get confused with the TV box being on and automatically switch back to that.
I bought the same 75" model from Costco - gave any additional 3 year warranty at no cost. I'm pretty happy with it so far. No CEC issues yet. I loop my connections through my AVR, so if I put the Blue Ray player on, everything switches seamlessly.
Key words to what you just said....2018 OLED.... This is LG's version of mini led back lights on what's most likely a tired washed out IPS..LCD panel. Also I don't know what his wife was talking about, but they've reviewed plenty of big TV's recently, as in the last year or two. This is just a really bad version of a large Q90a/b. It's always possible that LG made a mistake and made a good LCD based TV, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that.
Holding out for it’s taking forever 2022 QNED90. I had the 65QNED85 and the blooming didn’t pass my threshold. I also hope the additional zones will better mask any light leakage at the edges.
no it does not local dimming on sony is a problem go and watch videos, and blooming on lcds is never going away its the technology, holding for QNED90 but 85 has the best blooming control so far 2022!
I got the Sony 75 Z9K so I'm all set for a big mini led TV but just from the quick look it looks pretty good for a ips panel. You need to do a in depth review of the picture quality good and bad then it will be easier for folks considering upgrading to a new big set, plus the price. I paid stupid money for the Sony but I really like it, most folks aren't going to want to spend Sony money on a TV and this big boy might be a affordable option with a decent picture and features for the money.
I get my LG 86 Inch TV delivered on Saturday 12th August 2023 And can't wait to have it. So Excited. My biggest tv I have had up to now is 67 inches. The big tv's are now coming down in price. Maybe something over 100 inches in the future. I have had a projector also with 120 inch screen but a tv that size would be better at a good price.

I have the same tv however I’m have complaints about the blacks. Shadows seem to be moving and blotchy. Do you think there is something in setup to correct this? Is this a problem you’ve heard of?
Hi B. Since this latest episode of House of Dragon ep7, I have growing dissatisfaction of my 2015 Sony 4k Bravia xbr. It was calibrated with one of those calibration video disc. This TV had no problem with GoT The Long Night episode that a lot of people couldn't see well. This HoTD Driftmark episode it was on the forced HDR mode, I had to turn on Motion flow Truecinema which somehow brightened up a little bit, and adjust gamma +2 in order to see _something_ on their facial expressions during the moonlight beach walk 00:21:37 when any light is on in the room. Also had to turn off Adv contrast enhancer for eliminating sudden brightness when closed caption appears every time. Question for you: Could you test some of the latest Sony, LG, Samsung, Hisense TV you like that could view that episode properly in default cinema mode or calibrated mode without doing any manual adjustment?
I'll be doing a video covering that episode, but the main take away is that grading rooms are completely dark and that's how it's designed to be watched. If you do watch in a brighter room you will need to use picture settings that increase low level luminance and not ones that will crush near black even more. Or watch in SDR with a raised gamma.
@@kevinmoore1253 thanks, that came across my mind too. It may not be the TV, it was the source material. My TV got into HDR mode in that show that I cannot switch to other modes. Finally found gamma adjustment to see it better. Not sure what the director's intention was.

I got this TV in UK in 86 inch version. It is called QNED 86 in UK. When doing Pixel test I found very small dead pixel. It is so small that you have to be about 2 foot from the TV to notice it. Even from 2 foot it is hard to see it. It is impossible to see from four feet away and at normal viewing distance. Is it normal for there to be odd dead pixel on those TVs ? As everything else is great, no Dirty Screen and great pic quality is it really worth getting replaced. Replacement may have more issues.
If you have just got it you could swap it out with the company you got the screen from if it is a bother. If the pixel has colour to it it is probably just a stuck pixel and may return to normal. I just checked LG and they don't have a 100% no dead pixel policy and require a certain amount to be dead before swapping it out. Such a big screen I bet many have them and cos it is not a monitor you are not close enough for it to be a bother. I'm about to get one of these and for me one dead/stuck pixel is a what the hell I just wont get close enough to look at it lol. Reply
@@LionheartNh Thank you for the reply and checking with LG. The pixel is black, but really really small, it is half a pixel really. Put it this way if you came to my house and you were seated two foot away you would not notice. I only found it cos done pixel test. The more I think on this I am just going to leave it. Most likely will be issues with replacement. I have since been reading posts online and it would appear that it is quite rare to get TV that is perfect.
I ended up buying this tv in a 65" and couldn't be more pleased. One of the best values out there imo. I've had it for 6 weeks or so and haven't found anything I'm unhappy with. One thing i would like to know is the mini led contrast ratio in numbers ...4000:1 ???
Hello, thanks for the brief review, would you make a comparison between this TV and the Samsung Q90B , TCL C835, Hisense U8H, and Sony X95K.?
The C835 isn't available in NA
I brought mine in January and your reviewing it now. LOL
This or U8H for for movies and gaming?
I just bought the 55 inch version
I hope it’s good im waiting for it the ship
how is it? any ghosting or trailing or blur in games?
@@PcGamingForFun seems fine to me
Im no tech wiz, but it does everything i need to
Good response times,
Good picture quality on programs and games.
Only thing inpersonally dont like is the tvs interface. I think I actually do prefer android tv or at the least more access to apps
But as far as ordinary use goes its good
Can you show how to mount this tv with the LG slim mount
B looks like a completely different person without a hat on. I feel like you're not as handy without the hat. 🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks for another great video.
I thought it was strange that my lg didn't have plastic on the front on the screen, but you didn't peel off any either. Is this common
Im thinking of either the 55" or 65" version of this or the LG Oled C2 for mostly Xbox series X gaming, movies, as well as NFL...my current room is fairly bright and even my current LG UHD is very reflective as a result, which i hear is an issue with the C2...any thoughts or prefence between the 2? Thanks!
hello, I have a question which TV to choose 65QNED813QA or QE65Q77BAT
What are rhe measurements between both legs, I am wondering if it would fit on my TV stand
Or watch in SDR with a raised gamma.
it was the episode, my C1 struggled with it too.
@@kevinmoore1253 there isn't anything wrong with the episode. A properly calibrated display in the dark can view it without issue.
@@kevinmoore1253 thanks, that came across my mind too. It may not be the TV, it was the source material. My TV got into HDR mode in that show that I cannot switch to other modes. Finally found gamma adjustment to see it better. Not sure what the director's intention was.
B. Help! Costco has 75" qned85 for $1599 next week.
I have 65" C2 . Is the picture close enough to save $900 off the price of C2???
Can a PC wake up this TV without using the remote? And sleep it too?
This looks like a way better operating system than Tizen on a Samsung.
İt sure is
Whats the difference between the 85 series and 80series?
Hello,
Would you get a Sony KD85x85k over this? I'm deciding between LG 86Qned85uqa vs Sony KD85x85k

I’m kinda having a little bit of buyers remorse.
I would sure appreciate any feedback

Thank you for the reply and checking with LG.
Still waiting for the new QNED 90 to come out.....
Which Wall mount should I get for this TV?
What's the difference between the 86 inch class 80 and the 86 inch class 85?
The mini leds, I would say the 80 model is edge lit...
Is this worth twice the cost of the UQ8000??? Can't decide which to order.
How is that compared (LG) to the Hisense U8H?
Awesome tv and review. How would you compare this to the qn95b 85 inch?
Do you just return the tvs?
I'm keeping my eye on this model only in a 65". How does it do with blacks(blooming) and how well does it perform in bright rooms?
I ended up buying this tv in a 65" and couldn't be more pleased. One of the best values out there imo. I've had it for 6 weeks or so and haven't found anything I'm unhappy with. Initially I had a sound issue when using my Sony home theater system with it but it worked itself out and all syncs together fine now. Big thumbs up on this model.
What size was the old TV?
