  • THIS VIDEO SHOWS ONLY ONLY ONLY WHAT YOU CAN SEE ON A NORMAL TOURIST TOUR IN PYONGYANG!!!
BEFORE leaving aggressive comments, please WATCH the DISCLAIMER: • North Korea (disclaime...
This video is NOT meant to be a propaganda for the actual regime of the DPRK.
We are NOT communists, nor journalists, we don't make politics and we just show what a normal tourist can see there!!
Due to the contracts we had to sign we could NOT tell anything about the bad things anyone of you might think happen in this country. Which, even if it might be true, we obviously could not see and therefore confirm.
PLEASE RESTRAIN YOURSELF FROM leaving incriminating comments or accusing us of anything!! DPRK is a heavily controlled country and one can not film or go anywhere he wants. This is all what we could and were allowed to film.
Thank you for watching and respecting our work!
ROMANIAN version here: • 3 zile in Coreea de No...
3 days in North Korea (myths and legends, DPRK vlog, mass games, pyongyang)
Our vlog is not sponored by any government or company.
This movie is just our trip in the DPRK in october 2018, without any intention of supporting or fighting against any regime.
Unfortunately, due to some technical problems, we lost aprox 65% of everything we filmed in the DPRK. From what we could save, from what we had additionally filmed with our phones and from what the other members of the group send us (a big thank to Gwen, Enrique, Chris...) we managed to make this movie.
This is the reason for the low video quality in some parts of the vlog. The other reason is because in North Korea you are not allowed to bring professional video gear like big cameras, stabilisers or drones.
The company we have been with (and can highly recommend): Young Pioneer Tours YPT
    Filmed with:
    Sony A6500 + OSS 10-15 si OSS 18-105
    Iphone XS max
    Samsung Galaxy S9+
    GoPro Hero6
    maps: (c) Google Earth
    music: Epidemic Sound

Reading some of the comments below, full of hate, of disrespect for a man's work, words without thinking of what does filming in North Korea mean and what are you allowed to show, words repeated like a parrot after the western propaganda "nukes, starvation, labour camps"(which BTW are TRUE, BUT not the subject for a normal tourist) makes me realize that the world has MUCH BIGGER problems than the dictatorship of North Korea.
People, please use your brain! let's make this world a better place through love, friendship and tolerance! May god bless you all!

Of course not! It was only a (bad) joke.
Still, if a tourist leaves the hotel on his own nothing will happen to him, except he will be grounded in the hotel, not being able to walk with the group the next days.

Because if it is true, I did not find it funny at all, after all things I have heard to happen to people who break rules in North Korea that joke would have ended really really bad for that guy, and this is coming from a guy who likes dark humor (as long as nobody get hurts, and I'm not talking about snowflake feelings, I mean really hurt, arrested and physically tortured)
Anyways, that would be my only critic, for the rest I'm still watching and interested
EDIT: I just finished watching, thank you very much for sharing, it was good to see North Korea from a different perspective as the one used in the western media. But please, if next time you go to a place with very strict rules, don't try to prank somebody to break them just for the lol's (I'm glad the french guy didn't tried, and hopefully you told that to him because you knew he wasn't going to take you seriously)

Hello hundreds of thousands Arabs were killed in the Middle East and millions were forced to become refugees thanks to So-called most democratic nation in the world and that is America for attacking Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia and Yemen. Then we have the daily bombardment of Gaza killing tens of thousands Palestinians mostly women and children by the illegitimate Jewish state of Israel. So don't distract the world away from Palestine issue.

@@EveryDayHoliDay some of the way they describe the beliefs of the North Koreans could also easily describe how Americans view their nation.
Who on earth would want to go to North Korea to see the bad bits anyway? Who would do that in ANY country. Have you ever gone to any nation in Africa or Latin America and asked to see their prisons? Why not?
They spent 3 days there, and spend most of it behind a camera. That will never earn the trust of the North Korean guides, and as a result they were extremely limited in their movememts. What or how much were they expecting to see in that short time. I have spent weeks in North Korea, and travelled from Sinuiju in the north to Kaesong in the south and Nampo in the west. I am yet to go out to Mt Paektu in the east yet. I've seen more of North Korea than most westerners, so I consider myself more in touch with their culture and customs. Are they hiding things? No, they don't have the resources to do that, and frankly they have more important things to do than monitor just 500 or so Western tourists that visit their country every year.

Obviously South Korea is a clear contrast at least time i was there and unless one has understanding of what a communist country allows such as DPRK, those that make comments clearly don't have a clue and less understanding of history. No it's most definitely not very nice to live in Pyongyang, but it beats the alternative... As long you don't mind being in the center of attention which means you'll have to live a lie officially. I'm sure some people have made the choice to live in shitty "huts" without electricity.

@@xenoblad They are at war with Korea though, not "the west" in it's entirety. And "the media" includes private people, charities and first hand stories from people who escaped. And it's not like any goverment or media company could fake anti NK propaganda in Pyongyang by asking locals to do things that look bad.
There's also atleast some footage of the poor in the countryside btw and atleast one series from VICE where they go to North Korean labour camps hidden away in the Siberian wilderness (Pretty much a way for NK to sell their people as slave workers to support the regime) which give glimpses into the lives of the approximate 85% of the population who aren't "fortunate" enough to live in Pyongyang. So not entirely unknown. Even though they try very hard to prevent that.
Regarding the Korean peninsula many prople from both sides still consider eachother like split up siblings just with diffrent friends and really want a unified Korea once again so it's not like they're into maliciously blasting eachother. Especially not South Korea I'd say as they feel bad for them and know alot more than North Korea know about them.
Edit: Although in newer documentaries things admittedly look like they're actually progressing somewhat, well atleast in Pyongyang and I feel that it probably has to do with more income from a increase in outsourcing labour camps as mentioned before. Or other scummy things, mayby trafficking but that one is pure guessing.

No, this is important, what would a tourist see and do! THANK YOU. Also being from Romania, and having lived with Communism, the couple have a much better take on North Korea. Looking at it from all aspects. Are there bad things, yes? But, this tells me what it would be like if I went on a trip. Though I was worried the Australian guy was going to be arrested! yelp. Also it was respectful. There is one video about NK where the guy is drunk the entire time.

    • @Earthman99999
      @Earthman99999 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Shubham-xr8ih The DPRK looks like an interesting place to visit because it is so unique in today's post-Cold War World. I see other people's videos that criticize the DPRK tours for only showing the positive stuff. There is nothing wrong if a tour highlights only the best scenery of a country. When you think about it... what tour anywhere will take people to see the worst parts of a country? For example if you were to take a group of Asian Tourists to Los Angeles, California.... would you take them to the worst gang controlled streets and the poor ghetto areas? I doubt that.
I would be open to getting an opportunity to visit the DPRK. I believe as long as visitors respect the laws and customs... North Korea/DPRK should be a interesting safe place to tour. Anyone who cannot respect and follow the laws and rules should go visit somewhere else.

Dude , this got to be one of the best and most interesting travel documentaries i have ever seen , ignore the mofos moaning about human right situation and how "evil" north Korean regime is, the problem is that their countries screwed much more people around the world than what north Korea did to its own people.
keep up the good work and ignore those hypocrites!

It is very is to clean small country. But it is very difficult to maintain clean India because India have over 120 core population. India is pure Democratic country so some rules or law can not be enforce

The city center where the wealthy elite lives looks clean and organized.. But that's only a tiny % of North Korea. They don't want you to see how the average North Korean is living.

This video is really representative of that experience. Sadly at this point, you could probably only have the scripted experience, and not one of your own.
In other countries, you can befriend the locals and go to their homes and restaurants together and talk about common concerns in life over a beer. But not right now in North Korea.

This is just one side of the story. The good flashy side of NK.
I read this book of a North Korean defector YEONMI PARK and I was in a puddle of tears as I reached to the last page. That girl went through a lot and hundreds of people do during their try to escape some don't even make it and are send back to concentration camps and those who escape have to experience horror while in China (as Nkns are considered illegal and are sent back to NK if caught hiding in China ).
Also there are countless villages (as according to that book) in NK where there is no electricity food toilets and other basic amenities. They feed on a grain or two of rice coz even a bowl FULL of rice is a luxury for them something they can have only on their birthdays. Some feed on rats and insects others die off starvation. They are brainwashed about themselves. Taught to worship the Kim dictators like Gods. Asked to see public executions of family members at a tender age of 12 so that they are "taught" to remain loyal to "their" nation. I am just 15 y/O but Reading that book changed my perspective of how I look at life.
In of the interviews of YEONMI PARK she asked people and Govts of different nations to urge China to stop repatriation of Nkns and pressurising the NKn Govt. To stop their inhuman acts.
The fact that not many people know this is in itself saddening.
I highly recommend you to read that book
"IN ORDER TO LIVE" by YEONMI PARK.
