Nothing but love and RESPECT for the Doc

The ultimate show of respect is Milwaukee playing the theme from Rocky (set in Philly) as he exits the court for the last time.
Dr. J was a true class act and one of the best to ever do it.

Amazing how Julius is overlooked despite taking the NBA off life support before Magic and Larry made it healthy and strong.

Doc was and still is a grade A class act!

I remember that last game and the three pointer. It was a sad moment.

This was the first athlete that was a hero of mine that I saw retire, the first grasp for me of the concept that being young and in one's prime does not last forever and that we all need to appreciate it as much as possible possible when it is happening. Life is too short

It's incredible and touching that nobody even really cares about the outcome of the game as soon as Doc comes off. And the commentator had to tell us someone made some free throws when returning to the action, because not even the cameraman is filming the game any more.

If you don't have goosebumps @3:25 when the crowd pops you're simply not alive.

Milwaukee will go down as the last city Dr.J played in. The Mecca was the last building he played in. The Bradley center was the next home for the bucks . They play in the fiserv forum a new building. The Bradley center which was a block away has since been demolished. Meanwhile a block away from there The Mecca is still standing. It the UW Panthers home arena now.

Imagine the psychological effect on the Sixers: you're way down on the boards and your team captain-the greatest Sixer goes out of the game for the last time ever and you're there there to try and salvage a massacre.
