hello, I just started editing on alight motion and I really got frustrated with myself because I couldn’t figure out how most of it works💀 until I found ur videos! they help me so much rn, you’re explaining it so easy for me to understand. thank you!! Anyways could you please make a „watch me edit“ video for a simple transition edit? Or just the progress….It would be such a help since I‘m still missing how to cut between clips and all the steps between🥹
Wow, I have never seen a short but yet an excellent tutorial on how to understand this. Thanks bro, it’s finally clear to me now. Please make more beginner tutorials like this
That's right, they are actually pretty much the same, the only main difference is that you can see your previous keyframes with nulls, while with group you can't really see them, so its hard to animate things.
So basically, if I make movement on one of the visual elements or children hooked up to the parent, and then I move the parent will the motion of the children be discarded?
Thanks for the hit. But I still quite don’t understand. But Yh, they say practice makes perfect. So I want to give it a try to understand better 😊😊. Thank you ❤❤
Thank you! Copy background is basically an effect that makes your clips/layer disappear and copy whatever is currently on the background. While null is the same as group layers, nulls help you move things around
Yes you're exactly right, it is like group. The only difference is when you group multiple times you can't see the animation keyframes of the previous group (and the groups also have a chance of glitching out and change the overall look of your animation) but with nulls you can see the previous animation keyframes by adding multiple nulls, so yes it does the same thing but it's easier and way more convenient, hope it helps :)
Use 1 null layer for only 1 movement. If u want to add more movement then add more null layer. It will be smoother. It's An experience. I have 24k subs. This is an akt acc
Hi,Can You Pls Make A Vid On Basic transitions? I’m a beginner in alight motion and your videos help a lot! ❤ I use alight motion for anime edits/amvs If You Can Make A Vid On Basic Transitions It Will help me a lot so 🙏 pls make a vid on basic transitions Also Tysm for your awesome vids ❤ (Also I’m broke and I can’t afford premium so I can’t use nulls can you make a vid on basic transitions without null layers pls?)
@@TikTokwasniwa yes, it's actually quite similar to groups. The key difference between nulls and group is let's say you're making a smooth 3D typography animation, with nulls you can see the previous keyframes of the animation that you've made, but with groups you can only see the current keyframes and not the previous ones, so it's harder to animate stuff
i added 1 null and a camera to my edit and i tapped on the camera to make it green and move my text. then, i wanted to add another separate text and add another null but why did it move exactly with the first text with the camera&null even though i didnt and any keyframe? how do i separate their movement?
Dont use camera, when you move your camera everything moves WITH the camera (lets say if you had a text, and you add a camera, if you add keyframes and zoom in on your camera layer, your text will become big too even if you didn't add any keyframes to the text to make it big). If you want to have their movements separate only use null and don't use camera at all.
you actually explained this really well you deserve so much respect 😭😭
Real!!
Omg I a fan
lol hi catireel. I was looking for a null tutorial and this one is the best one

Null is actually easy to understand once you think of it as parenting
You should teach adults for a living because this is amazing.

Thanks! Explain Group & masking tutorial etc and pinch bulge etc

🔥explanation..
Your tutorial is very helpful, thank you so muchh
For those who don't understand, think of it like groups, but better
Whats the difference between null and group? usually, i use group, so i cant really tell them apart since they both have similar uses
That's right, they are actually pretty much the same, the only main difference is that you can see your previous keyframes with nulls, while with group you can't really see them, so its hard to animate things.
thank you , very helpful ❤

What's the difference between null and copy backgrounds? Also i love your videos!!

I understand it but it literally doesn’t work for me? When I link stuff to bill it moves as a picture, not as seperate elements…
I do random stuff with nulls and kinda works
Background song is ghibli right?
Tq ❤ to easily say about that
how do you do the 3d cam movement? its complicated and i cant find any tutorial like it D:
❤❤
Nice
How to put an effect on mutiple nulls and overlays?
Thank you but isn’t that the same as group??
Yes you're exactly right, it is like group.
