In this vlog, I'll take you guys on a walking tour in Panama City, Panama. This time I'll show you guys a different side of Panama City, the ghetto part. We'll visit El Chorillo, it's a barrio (neighborhood) that borders the very beautiful, historic Old Spanish Quarter of Casco Viejo.
This is more than a walking tour, it's an experience and I linked up with a local tour guide, named Victor also known as Local In PTY on social media. Victor takes us on a 4-hour experience where we get to meet some of the locals, see and explore their neighborhood, and even eat at a local cafe. This is truly an off the beaten path experience in Panama City, Panama.

NYB Creative Productions thanks brother! The Noriega era was not a good time, I was 14 when the U.S. invaded Panama and while he needed to be removed, I don’t agree with the way the U.S. handled things. I hope to make a video about it one day, but my way, with real people so we can get the facts.

This was an amazing and informative video. There are hundreds of videos on Panama City on TH-cam, but this really stands out for me. When I visit a country, I try to get an overall understanding of what the country and the people are all about. There’s no way to get that information without getting the local people’s view on the country and their personal condition. The only way to get that information is by going in to non tourist area. I say that to say, great video. Personally, i loved every minute of it. Salute to you, but also salute to Victor and the great work that he’s putting in 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

It was very interesting to see a different side of Panama. There is a lot of poverty in Panama that is obscured by the sky scrapers and expat relocation TH-cam channels. But I can tell the Panamanians are a proud people no matter where they live.
I was adopted from Panama in 1991. This is the first time I've said that out loud.

Thank you so much for this video! I ended up in walking in El Chorrillo by mistake when I was looking for a way between the Highway and Avenida Central. I was a bit heartbroken and scared at first but I saw a very lively neighborhood and lots of art and people playing outside. And look, I made it out alive and with all my things, your video really helps crystalize the fact that this neighborhood is a lot more than what people will tell you about it
I’m glad you made it out just fine. It is an extremely vibrant and lively neighborhood with a lot of good people despite what people may say. I’m glad to see Victor is helping the community and trying to get kids involved in positive things.

Fantastic video! This video NEEDS to be seen by more people. I go to Panama very often and I love it. Panama is one of the few places I felt a strong connection with and I’m always sadden to leave. Idk how I feel about this! 🤣🤣 on one hand, it’s good for tourists to see the real Panama, but on the other hand, it reminds me of when they were trying to give tours in the hood where I live and we felt some kinda way about it!

Three cops are on beat at the three cross streets into Chorrillo 24/7 to stop tourists from accidentally wandering in from San Felipe (Casco). I lived in Casco almost 10 years. There were always problems with unwary visitors walking that one block too far
