The Daintree Forest - Snorkelling with Turtles!
The Daintree would have to be one of my favourite places on earth, because it is so remote, and so natural. It’s also the oldest tropical lowland forest in the world, where the rainforest literally cascades down to the water’s edge.
So even though I’ve been there a few times before, it was definitely high on my ‘must see’ list on my solo lap around Queensland. What I’ve never done before though, is tow a caravan up and over the mountain rage and stay in it within the rainforest, and it turned out to be one of my favourite destinations of my trip! (And my MDC XT10E was a dream to tow over the mountains… no problems at all.)
I loved going out to the Great Barrier Reef and snorkelling with the turtles, and I even got to see a baby cassowary in the wild! Hope you love this episode.
