Louis Bell has a fantastic editing workflow, but that definitely come with experience. Even the terms used with the performer to descibe small changes was great. Great video on it's own!
So I love seeing this tracking workflow. Especially using that visual playlist above the record track. Maybe it’s a small thing but it’s such a fast approach. Thanks Cradle for this vid!
Just my opinion, I think he could get a lot more out of this dynamic singer with allowing her from top to bottom 3 times giving her 2 minute rest breaks. then add certain corrections on each part. She's very capable and sounded so great. Great video & great plugin!
@@thebeatmajors_yt just my honest opinion. I worked in the industry for uptown for a few years. I own a commercial studio in New York I do have extensive experience myself recording many vocalists (for about 30 years) I am also an experienced Musician Producer, Songwriter & singer. Singers get tired and losing inspiration, also ear fatigue if you extend session by punching in so many times. Punching is good after you allowed a disciplined & experienced singer the freedom to sing from top to bottom a few times first. Speaking for my personal experience.
@@adithyasatheesh127 The singer is very capable and singers don't like stopping and starting. music flows better for singers when they can perform freely. Going form top to bottom, the singer when they are fresh can give their best performance. stopping and starting sometimes tires out the singer. Singers also develop ear fatigue just like the engineer. Having multiple full takes are usually easier to edit. then after 3 takes, records certain parts. this way the singer is not tired. Thant's all i was saying. its just my opinion. Another way to achieve the best results.
@@bryantlroeback3287 what I was trynna say is. Everyone has a workflow of their own. You can clearly see here that Louis and feli has definitely worked together before cuz they understand each other so well. They clearly have a shared sense of working. For some, the way you said might work. I personally feel recording phrase by phrase, perfecting them and then going on to the next part feels less hectic. Most singers aren't that good to give a phenomenal take start to finish. Saw charlie puth and Ryan tedder do the same.
wow she's got a gorgeous voice
What a very nice voice of hers. Amazing Rasp tone. It express so much emotion when tapped into that sound. Pink is also good at doing this.
She’s such a Great Artist! I miss producing singers people like this 😊

LOVE Her Voice!
Man I’m ready for part 2!
A vocalist like this would make any engineer feel great at his work.
Right I'm saying. She's got a near perfect vocal or if you prefer the live feel of authentic one takes, a perfect voice lol
Dude came up producing and engineering for Mike stud. He’s super talented. Always respected how good he is

Amazing video! 💯👌
this guy is a genius
I would like to see Vocalist headphone mix settings. All I can hear is a bit of compression and reverb/autotune but it sounds like mixed vocal
@@attyozt Getting best sounding vocal is the only option bro :X

Sure, Louis could learn a lot from TH-cam comments. After all he's just a beginner.

You are almost clipping
Why so much autotune? 8:11
it’s actually a trick some people use to widen raspier voices 🙏🏻
