Is there access to this site from the campground? I'm a free diver and I'm camping at the state park next month. Just wondering if I will get to visit this spectacle
Anyone can go on the river by boat, however swimming, snorkeling and diving is prohibited by the State of Florida at the spring head or within a half mile of it (which sucks). We are allowed by special permit to to dive for clean up and restoration purposes... Years ago they used to have a public swimming area and it was great. I hope the state cleans it up and opens it for swimming and recreational diving one day - it would generate so much additional revenue and lots of tourists would come from all over to do it!
This is awesome man!
Went there 2 days ago, and loved it!
those statues must have scared the 10's of thousands of fish away, that lived there in the 70s.
rodman dam did that
I whent there and it was so beautiful 😀
Must be nice to get to dive there. Always wanted to.
Nice. I'm terrified of the water or I would do the same.

You need to pay 7 or 10 dollars to swim there tho
@@TheNawrockSTAR I'm going to paddle in and freedive it to protest.
@@squarecracker lol. You can paddle in from the boat ramp down river got free. As far as free dive.... Just do it before 7am. 😉
Going back today , paddle boarding… such an amazing place 😍
I don’t get it what is the point of the statues in the water if people can’t swim in or dive 🤷♂️🤔
Aren't there alligators in the water?
alextwist8 yes but they don't bother you
Technically speaking there is risk of alligators at any waterway (lake, spring, river) in florida
how deep does it get
About a mile at the trinch look it up
I thought there was no diving allowed!!!!
To the public, however there is a Dive Team that cleans the glass bottom boats that is allow to dive there once a month.
How can I become apart of that team?
