  • This past weekend, Brennan and I went to Universal Studios to finally visit DreamWorks Land during its technical rehearsal! After being open for several weeks following previews, we finally got to see the land and the various re-themed attractions, entertainment, and new interactive areas. We rode the Trolls Trollercoaster, watched the DreamWorks Imagination Celebration, walked through Po's Kung Fu Training Camp, and played in the Shrek's Swamp play area. On our way out of the park we quickly finally walked through the summer tribute store celebrating iconic Universal film properties themed to a video rental store, an arcade, and a movie theater. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!

Awesome video! Great overview of everything the new area has to offer. Hope you bring back the mics! ❤️

I like the mics. It’s nice to hear both of you and be able to hear you when you are trying to talk quietly and not disturb people. Great video!

This was actually back on the regular mic that I've used for a while, so I might be a little back and forth until I land on something consistent (hopefully)!

I’m on the fence, Shrek Kung Fu panda was soooo long ago that it already dates the park in going backwards not forwards but I also understand that Universal are very limited when it comes to their kids movies and being able to use the movies that don’t already feature at universal currently. With epic universe it’s smart they are using how to train your dragon so it’s already been taken but would’ve been great as the kids play area theming but then we also have to remember that universal are going to play to their strengths which shrek comes under that banner because universal don’t want to use movies as theming that they’d rather forget and hope will disappear into oblivion such as Shark Tale 😂😂😂

I think Shrek specifically deserves a pretty high pedestal for both DreamWorks and Universal! I would have loved a little Far, Far Away or Farquaad castle with a swamp house walk-though meet and greet akin to ToonTown and Mickey Mouse. I still admittedly haven't seen Trolls but the design doesn't quite as encapsulate me as much as the worlds of Shrek and HTTYD. Kung Fu Panda has potential but just demolishing 70% of what used to be Curious George and painting it is slightly disappointing, but I overall appreciate the cohesive theming.

@@oyby yes I get that, I think maybe if they did the theming like you said with shrek it wouldn’t feel so outdated and meh to me, it would bring more of a touch of nostalgia. I think the Pinocchio feature is silly and is unnecessary, it’s a concept that would’ve look great on paper but the final result falls flat. I think if they removed everything and started from scratch with a blank concept and gone from there it could’ve been amazing. That’s what I loved about Dollywood and Dolly redoing her own Dolly Parton experience, instead of rehashing it they took it all down and started from a blank concept and it’s so much better for it. Sometimes you gotta start from blank instead of splashing some paint over the old and hoping for the best.

Stay away from children's play areas. I love you, but it's just plain creepy. Stick to the adult areas. I don't care how unpopular this comment is; it's extremely cringeworthy. I'm specifically talking about the nets when kids are there.

You seem to support him more than you criticize him. Why? He is childish and creepy. Stand by your name and make a video about Roy and Brennan or give up your name. This dude needs a channel to satire his content. Are you scared?

@@thomaslloyd576 I'm not going to after Roy because of your comment. I also support Roy, but I call him out often. He's a good dude who I just don't agree should continue to visit kids' areas. I will most definitely make satire videos of them one day, I have a treasure trove of content. I don't do things just to do them, I have no reason to mess with Roy or Brennan now.
