Always in for the Lasernut vids! Not sure if you know this or not, but the Vitavon Transmission allows a 1/8th scale 42XX motor to fit. Your Lasernut needs a bigger motor!
The stock trans mounts the motor slightly lower - low enough that a 42mm diameter motor wont fit. You *can* put spacers under the stock trans to space it up ~3mm or so to fit a 42mm diameter motor, but I think this is kind of a janky work-around. There might be other motor plates out there that do the same thing, but I prefer the design of the Vitavon trans which is screwed together front to back in addition to the top and bottom chassis mounts. Yeah, it's the more expensive option, but you really do get what you pay for. The Vitavon lasernut trans is the same overall height as stock, but has a slightly upward offset for the motor mounting screw holes which allows a larger diameter motor without running into interference with the chassis under it. With a 42mm diameter motor, you may have to slightly clearance the motor bell where the rear driveshaft output comes out to get full range of motion out of the motor adjustment to run smaller pinions. It's not much - For me, a Tekin 4038 truggy motor (42mm diameter x 78mm long) I had to sand down a small (really small) section of the motor fins where the rear outdrive is in order to run 15 tooth or smaller pinions.
Losi all based on the 2012 losi scte 1.0 , 2.0, 3.0. excellent short course truck. Very few broken parts driven hard. Losi made a really good truck . This was the truck the racers used at the indoor outdoor clay track in il.
Laser nut chassis is longer than losi scte1.0. The scte 1.0 was called a 10 scale, the lenght and width is the same as the old losi 8 scale buggies from 2012. The losi scte 1.0 never had the same problems as the lasernut.
How much vitavon stock do you own, ha. Would be cool if they turned something out to compete with the vs410 rigs. The new Phoenix kit looks awesome with the shiftable variable overdrive system. I can't count the number of rigs that would remain garbage without vitavon upgrades.
I'll get those for the next diff service. Thanks for the heads up! Just broke the steering bellcrank yesterday on a terrible landing. Looks like vitavon makes that too 😀 Awesome rig but my most expensive one by alot. The Typhon just doesn't need these sorts of upgrades since Arrma made it like a brick sh%t house!
I noticed that you transitioned to smaller than stock tires. I guess for bashing and jumps they work better than the 5.7" stock ones. Very nice jumps for the Lasernut. 👍🏆
Been having problems with my gears stripping out all the time just like my ryft Bought all three spools for the stupid ryft. Your rift is kick ass. But I thinking of putting J B weld on my lazernut diffs gears to lock them up like my ryft. What do you think?
I want to get this but I see too many problems with this buggy. The more Losi vehicles I see the more I have concluded they pretty much, visually, are the same underneath the body.
Just wondering cause it says on site dbpro any way u could find out for me please I'm having issues with drive cups it's hard to find anyone to talk to on Vitavon stuff an I like there stuff my Maxx is getting Vitavon bling bling
@@EdgeOfDarkness86 no iv tried the tekno outdrives that work on lazernuut but they don't work on bdpro so this is y I'm asking? About Vitavon or do I have to change huds also to make either one of them work if the Lazer nut hubs are the same as dbpro then I'm in I'll have to change that also 😏
@@daltonboucher8162 By the looks of DB Pro and Lasternut uses the same driveshafts, diff housing, diff gears, front and rear diff, case, arms etc so it should work.
Can I ask how much $$$ have you put into this thing just to get it working properly/fixing Losi F*ckups? Or shouldn't I ask ;) I love this thing, but damn son $$$$$ to get up to scratch???? Not worth it at all :( I must admire your tenacity and bank balance.

Man you need to play the Dukes of Hazard theme song while jumping!!!!

Can't wait the xmax upgrade great video
I like the tires you have on the lasernut what are they an where can I get them
Greaaaaaaat. I just broke my fronts two days ago and I just ordered some stock ones -_- the timing
Do you think you’ll bring the wendigo out again at some point?

I just installed the Vitavon bellcrank in mine. I have to get out and record the drive.
Flies pretty good for a dessert buggy.
I love dessert
Lol. Desert good one
The power and jumping power of rc is great. It's fantastic.💯💪💪💪

Nice. Which combo do you use now
Castle monster x esc with stock motor.

Do the stock cups break or bend? I thought this losi was a great release but it seems it came stock with a lot of issues.
What kind of grease are you using?
Nice!
Either I spend money on Vitavon replacement upgrades or I get rid of the Lasernut. :(
Unfortunately that’s the way it is with that thing.

Yeah this isn’t a good one on many levels but I’ve heard they reworked the diff cases with bigger bearings.
Nice dude
Will this work on db pro
Not sure. If the Dbpro has the same part number for stock outdrives then yeah they’ll work
