@@JackT_Music_on_Vinyl We sold the AR's..but that belt drive was no match for a Technics direct drive...The Technics sold themselves..all we had to do is put them on the shelf...and we had a blast setting them up and installing the cartridges for the customers..
Vwey cool! The AR was 89 bucks new, and caw with the Shure M91ED mounted. Hard to beat the price when you're a teen. But the Technics became the gold standard.
@@JackT_Music_on_Vinyl The Shure rep came in and gave 5 of us Shure Stylus Force gauges..mine had about 25 miles on...I liked selling Type III's with those Technics direct drives..But they slowed up after we started getting AudioTechnica AT13EA's...

Classic on a classic turntable...We sold the crap out of that brand back in the day...
I also have an AR XA ehich is the antithesis of the Technics. Both great for different reasons! Thanks.
