    Thank you for the explanation. I have never used a proof press, just several different letterpresses. I'm glad to see you're still teaching this technology. It's very satisfying.

    i'm just curious. Why there are still these kind of printing machines inside the University? Is that part of a Art program? Is that just a demostation or are you realy printing projects for the School? It look like somenthing for Hystory class or? I'm italian sorry for my english.

      We specialize in this library on the history of printing. Our College Printer is both an artist and printing expert and over the years we've accumulated many printing presses. We use the space for students to practice printing and learn history by making things for contemporary events, or for their projects. Our book collection also focuses on printing history for the most part.
