could you define, "don't be weird"/ "Don't be creepy" in terms of Evangelism?
i mean that, some people may think we are weird JUST cause we are talking about God...
don't be forceful or rude. be compassionate and sympathetic to the other person's background and point of view.
You can't control how other people will react, but you can try and speak with them in the most loving way possible.
any specific area you dealing with?
We can't be afraid to talk about Jesus. I don't "force" it on people but when I see an opening I don't hold back. Like when people see my I AM Second bracelet, when people ask how are you so nice all the time, how did you overcome this, or even when someone tells me they are going through stuff and I offer to pray for them.....it gets the ball rolling.
Absolutely. When God provides an opportunity, we should step up and step in!
Very good advice, God is definitely speaking to me.
Kevin B I said to someone once we should pray for wisdom and opportunity to share and show people by the way we live someone replied and said if someone’s house was burning down wouldn’t you go and tell them.
Evangelism is key when living for God. We don’t have to TRY to evangelize, it’s actually a bi-product of just loving people❤️
Great point. Love that.
That’s true
We all have great free resources through social media. I love what you're doing and have started my own channel as well to spread the good news and I hope your other listeners start their own channels as well.
Imagine if every Christian started sharing messages about faith on social media.
We could truly change the world!
Love this topic! Jesus didn’t stand on street corners telling people they’re going to hell so we don’t have to either! Just living our life trying to love others like Jesus, sets us apart and makes us different from others. This can open the conversation when they ask why we’re different, we just need to be prepared with an authentic answer.
That cancer analogy is so powerful. Like so many things, I think this is all about perspective, when we see things from an eternal perspective, all of our excuses about being uncomfortable suddenly seem so trivial. You've inspired me since well before I ever made my first video, and I'm so grateful for all the amazing content you put out there.
👋🏼 Blessings to everyone. May our God continue to bless you and your families...
🙏🏼 All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your Name.” Selah
- Psalm 66:4 🎶🎵🎹
Anyone reading this please pray for my prayer request. The other day I found a lump and it is very sore. I'm trying not to think the worst but I'm scared. I'm only 23. 24 next week. Please just pray that it is nothing serious, not for me but for my son. He 2, 3 next week 👪😘🙏🙏🙏
Praying for you. Praying for clarity.
Praying for you 💙
lauren Michelle I really do suggest you have it checked out by a doctor, will pray for u
I’ll keep you in my prayers.
its crazy because you said about a week ago youre turning 24 next week, and its a week later and im also turning 24! also you talk about your son being 2 turning 3 and my mom's birthday is tomorow 😭😭 like there is a parallel!
i will pray for you, and for your son that you may be healed.. praying that the lump isn't anything too serious 🙇🏽♂️
if I can suggest a song to sing through the pain and suffering, Though you slay me by Shane & Shane .. always gets to me.
I can truly relate to what Jon had said. I work in a summer camp with our mission being to share Jesus to campers. Rarely will campers accept Jesus right away. Some of them takes years and years to fully accept Jesus. It's rare for me to witness my campers accepting Jesus but I trust that God will use someone else, if not me, to nurture that seed for harvest. Sometimes our efforts of evangelism seems to be ineffective or useless but we need to be faithful and trust that God will handle the rest.
this is so true!
im guilty of trying to sow and reap all in one go, expecting it to be a fast pocess.. when you should be focused on sowing and being patient! great vidéo, thank you so much! not everyone is where youre at in their journey..
This message is so relevant & amazing! I think the best thing to do is, make it simple! Be there however you can & be kind! That way it's a journey for everyone to listen & help each other, one way or another & that's so special! Everyone's a gift & worth us being a friend to them! :) I know not everyone will be our friend but, we can all do our best to be uniquely us & kind. :)
Hi John! I just wanted to say thank you for being such a relatable and down to earth voice in the Christian community. Your words, advice, and perspective have helped me grow in my faith, so thank you 🙂
LET THE TRUTH OF THE LORD COME TO US TODAY!
Finally! Evangelism! 💕😍
Hope it was helpful for you!
I like the slow cook analogy. Thanks for the video.
So good Pastor Jon! Love this. Going to share this with our youth group and equip them to be the light in the darkness! Appreciate you
Thank you Jon for this. When I first read that part I was soooooooo confused, but now I'm gonna go back and read it and I'm pretty sure it's going to make sense. Thank you again for this great video. God bless.
Thank you for the great tips, I love that you focused on being patient without completely stopping the process... if you see this, I would love it if you would think about making a video about if you invite someone to church and they turn you down. In my situation on of my good friends has came to church with me a few times and I thought she was starting to like it, but this week I invited her and she said ‘sorry it’s just really not my thing’... I don’t want to give up trying but I also don’t want to come off as forceful. Thanks!
This is such an awesome video!! Never thought of evangelism in quite that perspective before!! Thank god for your life!
Very good once again. Always helpful. Your videos fill me up and inspire me to share my faith and grow closer to God
Thank you jon❤🙏
I think you should do more videos like this about evangelism, really helpful! (Could you do one for introverts?)
so much great advice in this, Jon! the concept of someone planting, someone watering and someone harvesting the seed of God's word from 1 Corinthians 3 has really shaped my perspective on evangelism since I was a teenager. It takes the pressure off to convert every person in one conversation or to feel unsuccessful in evangelism if the person doesn't get saved at the end of the convo. Success in evangelism is about playing the role in that person's journey that God sent you there to play, not about about being the person who gets to "harvest the seed" in every conversation. Every role in evangelism is vital and God uses it to bring people closer and closer to Him.
Thank you for everything you do! You are amazing! 💕 I like your hair by the way. :D
Hey man, thanks! This was really something I needed to hear.
Love this! I watched the sermon and it was amazing, but I was so hoping you would sign off with "Keep being awesome!" :D
Thank you for making and sharing this Jon, God bless you brother 👐🙌👌
This is so helpful. thank you so much
U do not.. know how much this helped ❤️
The best resource ever for Evangelism is “Way of the Master” by Ray Comfort.
I just bought his books a month ago. 99% of the Church has evangelism wrong. The book has revolutionized my perspective on evangelism. Most equipping book I’ve ever read.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out for sure!
WoW! What a eye-opener! I never thought of evangelism that way!
Your videos are very inspiring!
Be blessed!
So glad it encouraged you! Keep being awesome!
thanks sm! Really needed that 💓
On point wow
Thx for making this video......it's really helpful 😍😍
Great video!
I'm in need of some help with something going on in my family. Right now I'm a junior in highschool taking classes and also college courses. I'm the lead director for the children choir class, I'm in the worship team as well also i help with alot of other Bible study events with school and out of school. However lately I've been missing a lot of practice in the worship team unintentionally. Also ive had this weird feeling that I'm no longer supposed to be in the worship team. We recently got a new member who plays the instrument that I play really good. And I have a feeling that God is telling me that the worship team is something I'm no longer supposed to do and mind you I've been doing it for 6 years now and I've never had these thoughts. So I told my parents this (because I trust their opinions a lot) however they told me that I need to continue doing this and they don't see why I'm not playing. I just told them that I feel like God is giving me more opportunities to do different ministries and with that my availability with the worship team has decreased which is not fair for the members. My parents told me no and I was to continue in the worship team and if something was coming in the way I would disband the choir. Can someone tell me what I should do. I'm lost and confused.
Emily Lara girl I think you know what God wants you to do! While it can be hard & you still want to honor your parents, all God wants is your trust so He can continue to grow and move you. I’ll pray for your situation!
Dope!!!
I dare you to do some song covers.
Hit that like button if you agree
Hmm... People getting offended because someone is telling them how to cure their cancer... That sounds like a story worth writting.
Ps: Tony’s chocolonely ftw!

I loved this I am technicly an Evangelical Lutheran I do share my faith and I struggle because I always Get questions like why are things in the bible ok I am lgbtq yup and I dont always have an answer any tips on the problematic parts of the bible?
Ingvild Kvakestad Jon has many videos which may help you with answers and understanding the Bible. X For now I know that when unsure about things it's always important to be honest with people, speak about what you do know and allow God to continue working in you so you can grow in His wisdom and recieve the spiritual discernment to help you spread the Word x
Olivya Russell thank you I has been making me question my faith recently I am trying to understand but sometimes I still worry that god really hates me I have had very special spiritual moments and I have felt His love but I dont know
Ingvild Kvakestad God has never, and will never give up on His creation. It's only us who choose to walk away from Him. I encourage you to never lose heart. (Luke 18:1) I cannot imagine the difficulties you may experience but I can tell you it's important to find assurance in what God says and not what we feel. Emotions can distract us from His truth, even when they are orientates around our faith. Take your time with your spiritual development with God, never give up in your feelings, persevere in what the Bible has to say to you and don't do it alone!
Ingvild Kvakestad GOD says “ I will never leave you nor forsake you " and Paul says that “ neither Angels, nor demons, neither anything in all creation will be able to separate you from the love of GOD. "
I have a question: what is a Lutheran Christian?
GOD BLESS EVERYONE ❤️❤️❤️
Anita Bradley honestly I dont know really how to explain it we believe what Martin Luther said so we are protestants and we believe in god and Jesus being one being and the spirit 3 in one I guess but I am not perfect the church Is very open and accepting love is what everything is built of love everyone I was thaught.
How familiar are you with Todd White (he has dreadlocks)?
Regardless, amazing video!
Not very. The same has come up from time to time though.
JonJorgenson if you can in some spare time, please check him out. His testimony is 2+ hours. So worth it.
Keep it up, bro! ✝️
so how is one 'not weird'?
don't be forceful or rude. be compassionate and sympathetic to the other person's background and point of view.
Im so bad at evangelism. Gah it's painful
