IM IN LONGWOOD FL AND WE JUST HAD 34 degree DAYS AGO AND MOST OF THE MANGOES LEAVES AND FLOWERS ARE EFFECTED 😭. I FEEL SO DEFEATED EVERY YRS ON THE COLD NIGHTS😢.
According to the US Weather Service at Orlando Executive Airport, the closest weather station to me, it got down to 39.9°F during the last cold front. Im in a bit warmer microclimate, so I doubt it got below 40°F in my garden. Mangos bloom several weeks later here, so I had only a few blooms on my Florigon and Nam Doc Mai trees. I expect the cold to prompt another heavier bloom, and fingers crossed that the early blooming branches will still produce some fruit.
Beautiful mango blooms, hope they all cope with the cold weather your having, and good advice on the temporary structures for protection.
Great Video Chris.
I live in south Florida and we got down to 37 this yr 🥶
Are you having any bouts of anthracnose with all
Those days of rain?

Should late season mangos start blooming yet, or does something other than cold weather cause those varieties to bloom?
My mangoes got down to 36F this year and they’re doing fine. Just 4F degrees lower and they would’ve been seriously damaged.
So few pollinators around here in Loxahatchee now has me concerned😕
