That's the Anti-Venom, and unlike the other symbiotes like Venom or Carnage. He is immune to fire, heat, and sound-based attacks. In addition, the Anti-Venom symbiote can produce antibodies that can "cure" a person afflicted by things like radioactivity, parasites, diseases, and drugs.
Don't forget the Spidey Sense mate. That's why Anti-Venom can't be detected by Spiderman

man poor Eddie and Anti-Venom. Went thru all that rough stuff with Peter, being a villain, cancer, bounced back and got reformed, all just to be mind controlled into fighting your nemesis turned friend, and once you're free you get fused with two people who destroyed the life you rebuilt for yourself and become a disgusting time monster. Honestly, one of the saddest fates for any Spider-Man "villain", and im pretty bummed that they never properly acknowledge what happened to Eddie.

I could be wrong, but I'm nearly certain this is a direct reference to the "MonsterOck" fight from the Spider-man 1 game on PS1, Spidey says this if MonsterOck gets too close. Could be wrong, but considering Spidey-2099's voice actor is the 90's Spider-man cartoon actor that the PS1 game was based on, it seems like a subtle nod to it.

This game was so underrated. The story was original and you could feel the stakes were higher than just your typical "saving the day" arc, it was interesting, even dark at some points (in a good way, and it's refreshing to see that with a hero like Spider-Man when it's done right) the gameplay, although it was almost the same as its predecessor, was fun and easy to understand for the most part, all the Easter eggs for comic book fans were sweet, the interaction between Peter and Miguel was gold, the level designs, the cutscenes were ahead of its time, the character designs were beautifully detailed (I still think this is the best looking Spiderman 2099, even better than the PS4 one) nearly everything about this game was awesome, it's such a shame very few people remember it to this day.

I've never seen or played this game, but props to them for getting both Spiderman voice actors from the Spectacular Spiderman (the voice of the normal spidey fighting the atrocity in this vid, Josh Keaton) and the 1990's Spiderman the animated series (the voice of the blue spidey in the vid aka Spiderman 2099, Christopher Daniel Barnes)

Anti-venom, at least in the comics, doesn't have a voice. Its a mindeless symbiote so the host is in complete control.

God I remember that Atrocity level scare me shitless. It chasing you at quick speeds then suddenly It can fucking teleport?! The music and setting continued to make the fight uneasy. When your used to swinging away from your problems and having that luxury takin away from you is what creates the mood
Oh god you would not have handled Carnage Octavius in the Spiderman game from 2000. Sure graphically crappy even then BUT it was grotesque, made horrid vocalizations, and all you could do was run and swing away (and that was really janky as hell so you died ALOT). Also, Spidey's death at that thing was not pleasant (repeatedly getting stabbed by the mechanical tentacles).

This was supposed to happen in 2016-17 but activision wanted their rights back. They said if they get these games remastered they will have to be allowed to make more Spider-Man games, and marvel closed the deal

Seriously he wielded 2 of most iconic items as a fused battle axe that was infused with Enigma Force in Marvel making that battle axe one of the single most powerful weapons ever seen in a Marvel comic.

I absolutely love the characterization for Peter/Spider-Man in this game.
It takes a blood test for these "geniuses" to figure out who atrocity is.
How else r they supposed to figure it out? Plus, it would make the game pretty short.

Not just a blood test. 3 blood tests, you'd think being the science geek/nerd Peter is that he would have stopped after the 2nd one, as most other scientists would have done by just looking at what is clearly be visibly seen as a new species, of possible alien origin (depending on which comic origin is used).
