I'm soooo glad you're having Yvan on your show. I was sold, after I saw them doing your new Porsche. Product looks amazing. I'm ordering the C6 Hydro this month. Love to the APP, prior to applying the coating, by expanding the paint. Great job Pan and Yvan.
Great show guys. I loved the more in depth look at the DIY line of ceramics. I have the 3 year on one of my cars and the 5/3 stack on the other. Couldn't be happier with the results. I can't imagine how great the C6 line must be. I will have to wait for my next car to find out. Listen to Ivan on the water spot removal for wheels. My older car is 6 years old and I could never get the wheels back to their original look. The black always looked dirty. I sprayed on water spot remover waited about a minute, rinsed, repeated with agitation with a flag tip nylon brush before rinsing. The result was amazing brought the black right back. Pan, Yvan thank you both. I have learned so much from watching the both of you! Two great channels!
I just became an authorized installer the other day. I'm waiting on my first order to come in. I think I'm going to install Diamond on my black Aston Martin Vantage. I'm excited to see the gloss!!
I've been going back-and-forth to whether I wanted to put a ceramic coating on my new car. There's no question I am at this point. And I'm definitely deciding with the C6. I do wish I could buy the gloss version. But Im no professional so I will stick with the other one. But they look to be very very good..
Very interesting products. Good to see how much car care products evolve to higher and higher levels. Despite the length of the video, it was far from boring! Well done!
Thank you! Very helpful! I was a bit lost on the C6 and DIY product line up. Still not clear what is better, the Hydro Lite or the Stack. And which stack, the 5-3 or the 8-3. Thank you!!
It's a high end coating, for those with a bigger budget for sure. But the DIY Detail line has the 3-5-8 year coatings at more reasonable prices for those who are on a tighter budget but still want a high quality coating. We explained the differences between all the coatings in the video.
cool informative video from two detailing gurus👍 I want to add that once I tried a decon sponge together with koch chemie tar&bug removal and the chemistry melted the synthetic clay on my sponge and left a black stain resistant to wiping on a white car, it's good that with the same chemistry and microfiber, this stain came off easily.
With synthetic decontamination towels, sponges and mitts, it's important to use products that are free of solvents. So if your bug & tar remover contained solvents, it would damage the synthetic clay material.
I’ve got 2 personal vehicles needing a coating prior to a parade. I’ll be applying to become an installer, and hopefully get involved before this parade. Currently installing another brand and looking for something I can add to my lineup for lifetime kind of folks.
They applied it on my windshield too and it works great, just as good as on the paintwork. You will soon see a 1 month update of the performance of Hydro, and you will see how it does on glass too. Stay tuned!
Hey Pan! Fantastic video by two legendary detailers. Very educational. I was wondering if you know on the hydro lite, how many vehicles can you get on a vehicle? Would it cover a 2022 GMC Acadia AT4 and 2023 Kia Forte GT? Thank you!
One bottle should allow you to coat two average size cars. One bottle was enough to do my entire Porsche Cayenne S Coupe which is a fairly big SUV, and we did the paint, trim, glass and massive 22” wheels.
Glad you enjoyed it! I always like doing deeper dives into the technology and chemistry behind products so my viewers can benefit from the knowledge. 💪🏻👍🏻
Just reviewed that, much more helpful when you consolidate everything into your top picks so people update their detailing arsenal appropriately. One last video using those 1st place products on a vehicle from A to Z would be so sweet. Hey, at least we hardly have to worry about chrome anymore 😂.
Thank you for the excellent video. I am getting ready to apply the 8 year and 3 year “stack” on my car. My questions are: 1) After applying the APP, what is the window of time I have before applying the stack? 2) What is the maximum amount of time that you can wait before applying the stack after applying the APP? Thank you!
After the C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) residue is removed you can start coating immediately or wait up to 48 hours if you’re in a dust free environment. Remember between the 2 stack components, you need to wait a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours.

It's also great that both of you interact with folks in the comments... You don't just post and run. The C6 line looks awesome! I'd like to try C6 Lite on my truck, but back in September, I coated with with CarPro CQ UK and CQ SiC, so I don't want to go through having to remove all that and start over just yet😅 I look forward to your long-term tests with C6, Pan. Maybe I'll try it out next year!
Love both your channels. Very informative. Recently coated my Genesis with 3 yr Diy graphine coating. So far very happy. Also just recoated after 3 yrs my wife’s Camry. Used Cerakote. Looks good now. She’s happy. Time will tell. The question is, I wash my car every week. Living in AZ very lil rain more of a light dust. Using Yvans method of foaming the dry car, rinsing, foam again and hand wash. Is this over kill or can I get away with foam and rinse or do you always had wash too? Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work. Thx. Griz
Hi Pan, I just became an approved C6 installer. A message for Yvan the guy who did my interview didn't want to really sell me C6 Hydro because I don't charge $2,500.00 for a ceramic coating. I am in Florida in a very populated area of senior citizens on a fixed income. There are some snowbirds with better incomes yes but not overwhelming. I try to be fair and make everyone happy. I feel if a client can afford only so much for a coating but they really take care of their car. Why not give them a coating they can enjoy for life, especially if the are a loyal customer for me. My question for Pan is. For a regular customer who has an average vehicle heard about C6 Hydro and wanted it on his car, what would you charge? I doubt it would be the forgo mentioned price.
I never discuss prices on TH-cam as it's pointless to do so. The same service has a different price for many factors, including most importantly location. A coating job in Montreal won't cost the same in Florida, vs New York or Paris for example. You have to adjust according to your area and competition. It's a discussion you need to have with C6, not with anyone else. Certainly 2500$ is still inexpensive for the quality of coating and durability this provides. This is not your typical 50$ coating bottle with a 1000$ coating job. Perhaps your customer base isn't used to that level of service? Hard to say, I don't know you, your business or the area you work in. But it's not my place to tell people what they should be charging or not. I hope you understand.
Charles, thank you for your concern. C6 Ceramics isn’t for every customer. $2500 is industry average for top level coatings. There are many customers, and some are happy to pay for the performance and value C6 Ceramics brings to them.
Dude, if a customs wants a Ferrari, they don’t shop at a Ford dealer. If you’re really a c6 installer, then market it to people who want and can afford the best. If you’re not a good enough business owner to have customers that are suited to high end products, don’t blame anyone else.
Mr Mitchel, thank you for your concern. We understand your frustration that we did not accept you as a C6 Ceramics installer. Not every detailer has the entrepreneurial skills to perform to the level we need. There is a demand for high quality detailers and products in Florida. In the Tampa bay Sarasota area where your located, there is good consumer demand for C6 Ceramics . There is a long list of customers in Florida that are looking for quality coatings such as C6 Ceramics and willing to pay for the quality service that is offered by authorized C6 Ceramics installers.
One thing I would like to know, how much better is c6 Hydro as compared to Hydro lite. My wife can need a new coating and I'm not sure if I do it myself and use Hydro lite or if I take it to a professional and get the C6 hydro done.
According to Yvan, there's not much difference between both. Hydro has a bit more refined detonated nano diamonds and different solvents for the carrier fluid. Lite has less RDND and a different carrier fluid to make application easier and no worries of high spots. But in person, you couldn't tell the different visually between both, and hydrophobics are identical. I have videos coming soon with C6 Hydro Lite, so stay tuned.
Hey Pan !! thank you for another great episode , especially when you have Yvan on the show. Question , if i already have diydetail ceramic coating 5 years and i applied it about 4 month ago can i put c6 on top of it ?
I see the term diamond used from other companies as well like Carpro's DQuartz. The $300 price tag of Hydro Lite makes me assume that this is the "first" on the market tax that we are paying for. How does the nano diamond in Hydro Lite stack up against the diamonds in other ceramic coatings?
Very different technology, and there is no tax, it’s the cost of the components. Others use straight Detonation Nano Diamonds or Diamond Nano tubes. Our reactive blending and Refined Detonated Nano Diamonds set us apart.
Hi Pan, I’m a weekend detailer doing details merely as a hobby. I was wondering if I could use hydro lite in this scenario: Decon wash APP one pass (paint is mildly swirled) Then use hydro lite Now my goal is to achieve 75-80% defect removal and high gloss etc. how achievable is this? And what would be the durability of the product? Would it be affected in any way? Also I sometimes use a strong ph cleaner. How long will it take for it to degrade the coating? And also what can I use to revive the coating? Your response is much appreciated Thanks
Yes. We applied it on my windshield too. Paint, glass, wheels, plastics, lights. Here's the video showing how we applied it: th-cam.com/video/yziXQnHFAmA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TDIhGcMAmgylz-no
For the C6 Hydro Lite ceramic coating, is it one bottle per car? Apologies if mentioned in the video, I must have missed it. We have a Mercedes GLE and a Ford F150 for reference
One bottle for a large SUV like my Cayenne (we did paint, wheels, glass, and plastics) or one bottle for two average size cars if you do the paint only.
Trying to decide which one to try. Can you give an estimate in % how different each would be? For example: Diamond coating produces 10% more gloss and Hydro produces 10% more hydrophobic as an example? The hydro looks amazing so how much more gloss do you get with diamond and how much hydrophobic do you lose?
I haven't seen Diamond Gloss in person, so impossible for me to answer. But according to Yvan, we're talking differences that most people would likely never notice in terms of gloss, as both Hydro and Diamond Gloss are super glossy to begin with. And perhaps you'd see a small difference on a darker colored car. But again, you'd likely need a trained eye to spot the difference. I wouldn't overthink the moment on which one to get. But regardless, you can't try them as a consumer. They are only available through certified installers. The only one DIYers can buy is the Hydro Lite.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks Pan! I'm a professional detailer....we have a sickness as you know 😄. I plan to test this on my car before selling it to my customers so maybe I'll try one of each! I just applied to be become an installer so we shall see!
Hello, Pan! Love your videos and your passion for detailing. I’m going to put the C6 on my car, so my question is how would you recommend prepping my car for the coating. I put on Chemical Guys HydroSlick last fall on my well maintained (washed weekly) car. When putting on the C6 I’ll follow Yvan application process, so I’m looking for your recommendation on removing old coating and prep. Thank you much!
The only way to ensure 100% removal of any protection is by machine polishing. So you’ll have to decon wash, iron remover, clay, machine polish, paint prep spray, APP polish, then apply the C6 Hydro Lite coating.
Not sure if this was addressed earlier, but what are the possibilities of installing C6 on a previously coated vehicle that is underperforming. Will APP work in that scenario?
Nope. You would have to machine polish the old coating off, using a traditional compound/polish, then IPA wipe, then use APP, and then apply the C6 coating.
PAN! the water sheeting and beading on your car is satisfying to watch. i havent seen any coating does it like yours. keep it up! love the informative video
Good morning sir may I ask you a question you’re so knowledgeable? Can you tell me how to keep clean vinyl I had my motorcycle wrapped and I want to find a way to keep it clean
Pan in a previous video you mentioned that Kamikaze had incredible luster. I'm looking for a product with the most luster. Which has the most luster kamikaze or C6 hydro
If you are looking for a coating you can apply yourself, then C6 Hydro Lite for sure. If you want to have your car professionally coated, C6 Diamond Gloss would be the one.
Tried to check the comments to see if this has already been answered, but can the coatings be applied outside and left to cure for people without a garage or indoor space?
Do we know the life expectancy of the coating on the glass? I know the APP “opens/expands” the paint but I imagine this doesn’t happen with glass. Should we not expect lifetime for glass?
Hi Pan, What product would you recommend for high gloss shine and water beading other than ceramic coating? I currently use Meguiar's G200416 Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. It has high gloss but I do not know if the beading properties are good or not. Thank you in advance, Paul
hello Pan, I wonder if the cerakote ceramic paint coat has now been improved after the last disillusionment. I also want to know whether I can simply apply cerakote outside on the street in the Netherlands. what is your advice?
Cerakote released the new version earlier this month. It's now in a clear/frosted bottle, to separate it from the original black bottle. They have more precise instructions now for the application as well, all included in the package. Among other things, application must be done at a temperature of at least 65F (18.5 degrees Celsius). So as long as you are near 20C temperature it's fine. You can apply it outside, but make sure you don't work in direct sunlight. Always work in the shade, on a cool surface.
PPF and ceramic coatings accomplish two completely different things. PPF is mainly there to protect against stone chips and scratches. Coatings are there to provide self-cleaning properties (making the cleaning of the car much easier), provide gloss and slickness, chemical resistance, UV protection, add hydrophobic properties. So for the best of both worlds, you apply a PPF first and a coating on top.
Can "APP" be used as a prep for other ceramic coatings or even just spray coatings? The theory behind the opening pores and swelling should work for other things too, right?
@PanTheOrganizer was thinking to apply it on my car or you prefer c6 diamond I appreciate your ideas been following you for 4 years any chance you could test avalon king the g.o.a.t. tjanks
Yes, the new version has been released earlier this month. It's in a clear/frosted bottle now, instead of the black bottle, to easily distinguish it from the first version, which was in a black bottle. I am currently in the process of testing it. Everyone who had ordered the first version has either received a free replacement, or they could also ask to be refunded.
Was about to do a Roar coating, considering they are based in my hometown. Now I want this, but not sure I’ll be able to find any pro installers any time soon. I don’t have the tools (not to mention no experience) for polishing/correction, so even if I decided on the Lite version there would still be a pay wall I’d have to breach. What to do?!!!
@@diydetailofficial you got this guys! Finally a product line that’s impressing the heck out of all detailers. And educating the community at the same time. Hats off. Respect.
It’s still to early to draw conclusions, but so far, the facts I have are: 1) C6 is easier to apply as it’s a one layer system (Roar was a 2-part system) 2) Hydrophobics are better with C6 Hydro 3) Gloss and slickness are very close (both are top top tier) 4) C6 Hydro is less expensive than Roar For durability in real world, time will tell.

Thx. Griz
I always follow up with a contact wash. It’s the only way to ensure 100% clean results.
A contact wash is always best, have you considered DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash
Thank you
Thanks for being on the show! Always a pleasure to have you.
Hey Pan !! thank you for another great episode , especially when you have Yvan on the show. Question , if i already have diydetail ceramic coating 5 years and i applied it about 4 month ago can i put c6 on top of it ?
No. You’d have to machine polish the old one off, then use the APP to prep the surface and then apply the new C6 Hydro Lite.
Eddie @ ECD: " BUSSIN' "
Yes! That’s it. Bussin! 😂👍🏻
Agreed
As always love diy detail products and great to see new long lasting coatings coming out. Pan as always great work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you.
Hi Pan,
I’m a weekend detailer doing details merely as a hobby.
I was wondering if I could use hydro lite in this scenario:
Decon wash
APP one pass (paint is mildly swirled)
Then use hydro lite
Now my goal is to achieve 75-80% defect removal and high gloss etc.
how achievable is this? And what would be the durability of the product? Would it be affected in any way?
Also I sometimes use a strong ph cleaner. How long will it take for it to degrade the coating? And also what can I use to revive the coating?
Your response is much appreciated
Thanks
This will work, but ideally a quick pass with DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish first will give you even better results.
@@diydetailofficial with yellow pad o red pad ?
Can you apply to glass as well?
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for the prompt response!
❤that C6 would make my black X5MC look great
Absolutely!!
Agreed
Perfect timing while I eat breakfast! Been waiting on this video, keep up the good work Pan and Yvan!
Thanks Ray!
Thank you
I've read the comments about the C6 products being ok on PPF, but is the APP required then, since there is no paint to "open up" ?
Yvan says yes, you’d still have to use the APP.
The C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) provides very deep cleaning.
10-20% is a good estimate
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks Pan! I'm a professional detailer....we have a sickness as you know 😄. I plan to test this on my car before selling it to my customers so maybe I'll try one of each! I just applied to be become an installer so we shall see!

Hi Pan, Great video!! I have superglue residue after de-bagding my car before ceramic coating, how do I remove from the paintwork please 🙏

Perfect thank you. Do you have a polish you recommend?
So if you really love the car, can you apply hydro and diamond gloss?, you would apply gloss and then hydro?
No, that would be a waste.
Yvan lookin like a Bond Villain about to drop a new song on iTunes 🔥

LOL
I can’t wait to install these products! They look just leading edge/ market setting products!
Yes they are absolutely the bleeding edge in current technology, as far as I know.
Thanks Tim.
Hi could you use app with another coating
Yes

@diydetailofficial hehe just my luck always miss out. Thanks for the info I'll keep trying
Great Stuff! Do you have a video out there on removing high spots and the fastest/best polishes/practices to use? Thank You!
I don't
Not yet
Another great video.. Is there Any special Pan discount available on these new products?
See the links in the description
Not sure if this was addressed earlier, but what are the possibilities of installing C6 on a previously coated vehicle that is underperforming. Will APP work in that scenario?
Nope. You would have to machine polish the old coating off, using a traditional compound/polish, then IPA wipe, then use APP, and then apply the C6 coating.
Pan is correct
Pan, can i wash my polishing pads the same way you recommend washing microfiber towels?
Yes
Great video. A very good product and interesting information.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you.
PAN! the water sheeting and beading on your car is satisfying to watch. i havent seen any coating does it like yours. keep it up! love the informative video
Thanks 👍 And yeah these are the best hydrophobics I have ever seen from any coating I have tested.
Thank you.
Good morning sir may I ask you a question you’re so knowledgeable? Can you tell me how to keep clean vinyl I had my motorcycle wrapped and I want to find a way to keep it clean
Ceramic Coating to protect, rinseless to wash. The knowledge comes from doing R&D for 40 years.
Interesting, using alot of similar ingredients as Diamond Protech which is an amazing coating so lets try and see if this is a good or bad copy.
It has absolutely nothing to do with Diamond Protech coatings though. Not all coatings are created equal. ;)
Very different technology, I was involved in the early development of the NGNT coatings. They use diamond nano tubes.
@@diydetailofficial interesting, when will Europe get it so i can give it a try 💪
Awesome video as always Pan!
Please do a video on Carpro Dquatrz!
Thanks Andrew! 👍🏻
Amazing product, Amazing guys!
Thank you.
Tried to check the comments to see if this has already been answered, but can the coatings be applied outside and left to cure for people without a garage or indoor space?
Yes

As expected - a Very interesting video...and everything explained so easy ....brilliant work 🤩
Now I really need this for my vehicle 😍
Thank you.
THANKS!
Do we know the life expectancy of the coating on the glass? I know the APP “opens/expands” the paint but I imagine this doesn’t happen with glass. Should we not expect lifetime for glass?
Glass, especially the windscreen is unfortunately difficult to predict
@@diydetailofficial makes sense, thanks for the reply.

Can this be applied over PPF?
Yes absolutely. Paint, glass, wheels, plastics, lights, PPF and vinyl wraps.
Well one kit cover a larger truck? Example 2500 HD Gmc
Yes
Hi Pan,
What product would you recommend for high gloss shine and water beading other than ceramic coating?
I currently use Meguiar's G200416 Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. It has high gloss but I do not know if the beading properties are good or not.
Thank you in advance,
Paul
DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss does a great job. That said as you can see in Pan’s videos, coatings are easy to apply.
hello Pan,
I wonder if the cerakote ceramic paint coat has now been improved after the last disillusionment.

I see many installers popping out! Awesome!
Thanks
Pan, have you ever looked at Modesta coatings? Thoughts?
I haven't, as you need to be an authorized installer for their coatings.
Will there be a DIY (Lite) version of the Diamond Gloss? Or is this available for consumer purchase anywhere?
There is not a Diamond Lite in the works
@@diydetailofficial I was unable to find Diamond available on your website, will this be available soon?
@@jnlsn01 it’s only available to authorized installers.
If these coatings are for big budgets, would PPF not be better? Genuine question!
Yes, it will work.
Great information and thank you both for the video 👍😁
Thank you.
Thanks Dave!
Looks great pan what you think of avalon king the g.o.a.t ceramic
I haven’t tested that yet.
@PanTheOrganizer was thinking to apply it on my car or you prefer c6 diamond I appreciate your ideas been following you for 4 years any chance you could test avalon king the g.o.a.t. tjanks
For the 7 days no wash. Would this include using a rinseless if we were going to a car show? That would be at least 12 hours cure before.
Nothing with surfactants, so I wouldn’t even use a rinseless wash. Wait 7 days. Leave the car alone lol.
Ideally wait.
I absolutely love APP!!!!!
Thanks
Hi Yvan, quick question. Do I need the App if I use your 5yr coating?
No APP isn’t needed in that case. But still a great option if you can.
No need but it will give you better gloss and depth.
When do we get c6 and the app in English? I hope it's soon😊
In English?
They are on the way to the UK
Is it true, the new formula for CERAKOTE PRO ceramic coating is out now?
Yes, the new version has been released earlier this month. It's in a clear/frosted bottle now, instead of the black bottle, to easily distinguish it from the first version, which was in a black bottle.
I am currently in the process of testing it. Everyone who had ordered the first version has either received a free replacement, or they could also ask to be refunded.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for the reply! I didn't mean to crash the party on C6 ceramics.
No worries, but it would have been more appropriate in a Cerakote video indeed
Was about to do a Roar coating, considering they are based in my hometown. Now I want this, but not sure I’ll be able to find any pro installers any time soon.
I don’t have the tools (not to mention no experience) for polishing/correction, so even if I decided on the Lite version there would still be a pay wall I’d have to breach. What to do?!!!
Roar is no longer in Listowel, but we have an excellent installer in Georgetown

Can C6 Ceramic Coating be applied on to PPF?
Thank you
Yes, absolutely.
Well done guys 👏 . Beautiful car Pan Congrats dude. Looks great.
Thanks!
Thank you
very educational. How does this compare to roar coatings?
It’s still to early to draw conclusions, but so far, the facts I have are:
1) C6 is easier to apply as it’s a one layer system (Roar was a 2-part system)
2) Hydrophobics are better with C6 Hydro
3) Gloss and slickness are very close (both are top top tier)
4) C6 Hydro is less expensive than Roar
For durability in real world, time will tell.
Very different technology

Really interesting product. I’m assuming this can’t be used on ppf, based on the description of the paint adhesion, but is that confirmed anywhere?
Yes they can all be applied on PPF.
It can be used on PPF
That’s for the replies!
@@diydetailofficialThank you! And I should still use the same surface prep and it should still last as long?
