I started listening to Mind Pump back in 2020. I was in a pretty dark place mentally and had just torn a muscle doing regular daily tasks. I hated working out, hated dieting, and hated essentially anything fitness related that was forced on me. I found mind pump on Spotify and started listening to episode 1, 9 months later, I was about 600 episodes deep. You all have completely changed my life, and I am eternally grateful that Mind Pump exists. Keep up the good work guys!!!
@wuzap5 Winner! Please email: ann@mindpumpmedia.com with a screenshot of your youtube username, winning episode number, and the email address you would like the program under and we will get you hooked up!
The more I listen to this channel the more I appreciate all of you. I’ve just always worked out at home with no trainers. Watch a lot of videos and have a pretty good regimen. But I have learned so much here and love that there is no ego. Really great. Kudos. 🎉
There’s actually quite a lot to think about when lifting - form, mind muscle connection, the amount of weight etc.. I love that it all helps. Thank you guys, these podcasts add value to my workouts!
I started listening to y'all about 6 months ago I'm a 48 year old female. I thought it was just for men. Thanks so much for all the information. So glad I started listening! Many thanks for all the info.
In regards to question #1 , the belly fat wasn’t addressed ! I’m having the same issue I would have loved to know what steps to take to get rid of that belly fat
I love that I learn so much more than just exercise and nutrition ❤️. Justin’s point that finding the sweet spot in our lives is so important and it creates a snowball effect to balance and happiness is 👌.
The best and most practical fitness podcast out there. This is great information whether you are a professional athlete or a parent just trying to stay in shape. Thank you guys for all the great content.
I am focusing on a movement for 4 weeks. In this phase i am also in low rep range (1 - 6 reps), higher rest periods (3 minutes) and i am training with a barbell in this phase to produce as much raw strength as possible. In the next 8 weeks i focus on the muscles moving the weight. I am training in higher rep ranges (8 - 20) and i am training with dumbbells to work each side bilaterally or unilaterally. Rest periods are from 1 minut up to 2 minutes depending upon on the exercise.
i hope many can listen to your vids and information. so important and many people just not aware of those issues. highly appreciate the knowledge and information. keep it going💪💪
Slowly beginning to trust in "the process". It's so hard, grew up learning the opposite of what you're teaching. I'd love to hear some mindset talk. Thanks.
I’ve more recently found mind pump, made it with in 24 hrs so I figured I’d shoot my shot. If I don’t get the give away hopefully someone that needs it will get it.
I have heard Andrew Huberman talk about Anna Lembke numerous times. I think he may know her personally. Perhaps you could also contact him in your efforts to bring her on the show. I think that podcast idea is a great one! Make it happen please! ❤ Love the show.
Been lowering the weights lately, and making lighter weight feel heavier on the bar. Mind muscle connection is better. Pumps and fullness better. Getting looks in gym because size is not matching the weight beinf pushed. Curling the other day with light weight, slow controlled dumbbell curls, and this guy with smaller arms is curling geavy dumbbells, staring confusedly at me. No ego lifting in my 30s. No time for injury.
I enjoy listening to y’all’s podcast but watching y’all on. TH-cam is a whole different level of being part of the conversation. I was doing CrossFit for 3 years. I stopped and I’m currently doing Powerlifting and starting Monday on Phase II. Love it so much. My focus is getting stronger and improving my form. Thank you for all the useful information.
I’m 53 I lost 100 lb, from doing keto , I have kept it off for a year. Now I’m doing anabolic and really like it. My mobility sucks. What should I do after anabolic to fix it?
I’ve done bro splits from Oxygen magazine for years.. also plateaued for years. Once I starting a powerlifting style routine, focusing on the 5 big lifts my body transformed. It’s been 3 years now, this inspired me to undulate through both styles. And women compete wot other women- theyget the hair extensions, fake lashes, nails to “look hot” but it’s h the other women who notice lol. Also, women who keep up with fashion impress other women, most men don’t find current styles hot or flattering at all 😂
Yes!! Being a SAHM is very hard but being an overweight SAHM is even harder. I have 3 kids, ages 5, 3 and 18 months. After having my youngest-daughter, Ive tried losing the extra stubborn 40 lbs on me but no luck! I’m so glad to have been introduced to your podcast, 1 month ago, and have already implemented a lot of your advice! Planning on doing a program of yours to really get things moving along. I tell my husband, giving up is easy now but hard in the long run, I will continue to try to lose weight to be a stronger and leaner version of me and keep up with these 3 little energy bunnies!! Thank you for showing up for so many of us! 💪
Hey Sal!! Show recommendation for arranged marriages is married at first sight! They aren’t arranged by parents but by professional match makers and therapists and it’s soooo much better than Love is Blind (though I love that one too). Definitely both are interesting watches.
Would it be okay to start with MAPS Anabolic advanced if I haven’t done the original one? Love the podcast. Thanks for all the amazing content. I listen to you guys daily 😊
Have you tried rear delt flyes with Adam's form cues? Shoulders rounded forward, not retracting the scapulas, and pulling the weights out and not back? Lighter weight and slower tempo reps might help, too.
Starting a program 3x a week, full body on Monday. I added Deadlifts and Squats after two months, due to lower back injury (happened at work). I made a promise to myself, not to go over 120kg (for 4-5 weeks at least, to see how my lower back responds) and really try to perfect the technique as you guys say. Would it be better to go 8, 10 or 12 reps for these exercises? (My whole program is on 4 sets 12 reps 1,5 min rest, my previous was 6 sets 6 reps 2 mins rest, which probably was overtraining)
@@razza1887 I had deadlifts on Monday and definitely didn't like the 12 reps, although my back was fine, after the first set of 12 I said no way I'm going this way and did 10s for the other 3 sets. 8 sounds even better though, but 3 sets I feel like it's not enough, anyways next Monday I'll give it a shot to see the response! Thank you
Y'all need to get Louise Perry on the show! She is incredibly well-versed on the sexual revolution and all of the horrific modern-day side effects (AND she power-lifts with her husband!).
I feel like the internet is like the new version of eating processed food. Just another way to gorge ourselves of pleasure when it comes to using it for the wrong reasons. That WILL have harmful consequences.

Those would be awesome shoes because of the Patriotic appeal, but how much do you want to bet that they Crush everybody's toes together hahaha no way for this Jose

I just did 2 reps deadleft then right into side Lats
I have started weight lifting 3x a week because of you guys! I’m so much more stronger now. I would love to win the program.
Every time I glance at a thumbnail of a new episode, and it is Justin, my first thought is "ohh, a special guest interview" 😂
I love how these guys help people individually. The best podcast period.

lol, I rarely ever hear Adam say "God damn it" yet he happens to say it with so much force with the Ash Wednesday caller. 🤣
Your podcast has completely changed the way I think about resistance training! And entertaining too! Keep it up, guys!
In Europe, this episode aired in the night, so now it‘s the perfect breakfast supplement. Keep on going guys, really appreciate it.

Was glad to hear you mention Dopamine Nation. It’s a great read.
Just started out with your program, Maps 15 minute and loving it!!! Appreciate the detailed instructions!

I studied Kinesiology, but love to watch your videos to keep sharp... thank you so much for the great content!
Great episode and really loved the fit tip. Thanks MindPump!
Such a great way of explaining everything. I love training both Powerlifting & Bodybuilding styles. The take away from both styles are so beneficial!🙌🏽
Hey guys, keep up the great work. You guys know this already and everyone who watched you knows this as well

Two great tastes that taste great together! I like the advice to trying and using both methods!!

I got on here to gain a bit of knowledge, and can't stop laughing at the banter and storys 😂 i do love these mind pump episodes

That social ESG score is straight off of an episode of Black Mirror…scary times

Hell yeah Adam watches Love is Blind 😂 also my guilty pleasure

To add to your point, my husband is one of those guys who has a very long beard. He gets a lot of positive comments about it, from other guys. 😂
The old guy, Sal “Ill win”😂😂😂

49:52 like on the first Friday movie, girl said people say she looks like Janet Jackson. "More like Freddy Jackson" 🤣🤣
What do you guys think about pilates/barre workouts for women to increase this focus on the mind-muscle connection?
That last caller, I agree with her. The MindPump team rocks!
Doug is so funny lol
Get Cal Deitz on the show! Author of “triphasic training”
Love this episode. So true about guys complimenting each other. Looking big king lol. Guys don't go up to girls and say Looking big queen. 😂
I love to feel the muscle, well, except for my rear delts, with those I can't connect for some reason !

@@winstonsmith11 Thanks, I'll try those. I've tried many forms but not this one.
Gotta try love after lock up😭😭😭😭😭
Is it possible to use BFR in combination with your MAPS Bands program for increased hypertrophy
Running anabolic, could it be run as a 4 day AB off AB off off ?
What days does this show film? Id like to do a video question

3 sets of 8 should be more than enough to see progress. 10s and 12s on the big lifts will probably ad up to too much fatigue

Im still confused on how to work out one way or the other. Let alone should try the other style.
it's the stress Sal lmaoo
Boom
The Trump shoes thing is interesting cuz it's a limited run of 1000 pairs at $400, which equals the annual president salary.
Y'all need to get Louise Perry on the show! She is incredibly well-versed on the sexual revolution and all of the horrific modern-day side effects (AND she power-lifts with her husband!).
Sal!! Hip hop community?? You obviously not in the community, that is not the case 😂😂😂
You only have good credit when you are in debt. We paid all of our debt off besides our house, and our credit sucks now. It's ridiculous!! 🤦♀️
Tawney Katane and she was dating the lead singer..

Totally. I've experienced this.

Nope but hello 👋
It is always the guys that hit on bodybuilders more than women.
We woman work on our booties to look sexy and we do get approached by women to ask about what workouts we do and men obviously do look but of course if they are not your partner there is no way to compliment that booty without being weird or sound creepy 😂
I only need Anabolic Advance in my MAPS programs hint hint 😂
If you want an expert on the harmful effects of porn try Matt Fradd from the Pints With Aquinas podcast.
Those would be awesome shoes because of the Patriotic appeal, but how much do you want to bet that they Crush everybody's toes together hahaha no way for this Jose
Do not use porn. Sal is right. Toxic to the brain. It also shows the individual has been through trauma and needs it. So sad 😭
People schedule sex because they are so busy, but know intimacy is important. If there is no sex, thats ehen you need counseling.
Talk to Matt Fradd from Pints With Aquinas if you want someone to talk about porn.
