    I started listening to Mind Pump back in 2020. I was in a pretty dark place mentally and had just torn a muscle doing regular daily tasks. I hated working out, hated dieting, and hated essentially anything fitness related that was forced on me. I found mind pump on Spotify and started listening to episode 1, 9 months later, I was about 600 episodes deep. You all have completely changed my life, and I am eternally grateful that Mind Pump exists. Keep up the good work guys!!!

    I am focusing on a movement for 4 weeks. In this phase i am also in low rep range (1 - 6 reps), higher rest periods (3 minutes) and i am training with a barbell in this phase to produce as much raw strength as possible.
    In the next 8 weeks i focus on the muscles moving the weight. I am training in higher rep ranges (8 - 20) and i am training with dumbbells to work each side bilaterally or unilaterally. Rest periods are from 1 minut up to 2 minutes depending upon on the exercise.

    I’ve done bro splits from Oxygen magazine for years.. also plateaued for years. Once I starting a powerlifting style routine, focusing on the 5 big lifts my body transformed. It’s been 3 years now, this inspired me to undulate through both styles.
    And women compete wot other women- theyget the hair extensions, fake lashes, nails to “look hot” but it’s h the other women who notice lol. Also, women who keep up with fashion impress other women, most men don’t find current styles hot or flattering at all 😂

    What do you guys think about pilates/barre workouts for women to increase this focus on the mind-muscle connection?

  • @ryankittle3431
    @ryankittle3431 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Been lowering the weights lately, and making lighter weight feel heavier on the bar. Mind muscle connection is better. Pumps and fullness better. Getting looks in gym because size is not matching the weight beinf pushed. Curling the other day with light weight, slow controlled dumbbell curls, and this guy with smaller arms is curling geavy dumbbells, staring confusedly at me. No ego lifting in my 30s. No time for injury.

    Yes!! Being a SAHM is very hard but being an overweight SAHM is even harder. I have 3 kids, ages 5, 3 and 18 months. After having my youngest-daughter, Ive tried losing the extra stubborn 40 lbs on me but no luck! I’m so glad to have been introduced to your podcast, 1 month ago, and have already implemented a lot of your advice! Planning on doing a program of yours to really get things moving along. I tell my husband, giving up is easy now but hard in the long run, I will continue to try to lose weight to be a stronger and leaner version of me and keep up with these 3 little energy bunnies!! Thank you for showing up for so many of us! 💪

    Starting a program 3x a week, full body on Monday. I added Deadlifts and Squats after two months, due to lower back injury (happened at work). I made a promise to myself, not to go over 120kg (for 4-5 weeks at least, to see how my lower back responds) and really try to perfect the technique as you guys say. Would it be better to go 8, 10 or 12 reps for these exercises? (My whole program is on 4 sets 12 reps 1,5 min rest, my previous was 6 sets 6 reps 2 mins rest, which probably was overtraining)

    • @razza1887
      @razza1887 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      3 sets of 8 should be more than enough to see progress. 10s and 12s on the big lifts will probably ad up to too much fatigue

    • @NikosDala
      @NikosDala 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@razza1887 I had deadlifts on Monday and definitely didn't like the 12 reps, although my back was fine, after the first set of 12 I said no way I'm going this way and did 10s for the other 3 sets. 8 sounds even better though, but 3 sets I feel like it's not enough, anyways next Monday I'll give it a shot to see the response!
