The thing is Stone Age Weapons and Tools were secured 90% of the time by Sinew (White stretchy Ligament bit attached to Muscle). They would wrap it around the Stone, Flint, or Obsidian, while it was wet and stretchy. They Let the Sinew dry, which tightens as it dries, which then create a very secure and strong bond. Sinew was the Super Glue of Yesteryear, and is still used today.

Accuracy of usage of weapons: less than 50% (did the spear dirty without ballistic gel)

Each sword has distinct characteristics influencing its stabbing ability. The nine-ring sword, with its intricate design featuring rings along the blade, may have limited stabbing capabilities due to potential drag or obstruction caused by the rings during penetration. In contrast, new age swords prioritize thrusting with tapered, pointed tips and balanced weight distribution, optimizing penetration and control during stabbing maneuvers. Short swords from just after the Stone Age, though versatile, may have slightly less optimized stabbing capabilities compared to later thrust-centric swords due to their design evolution. However, they would still offer effective stabbing potential with relatively sharp points and manageable size, catering to various combat scenarios.

They probably should've gotten a few large hams or something. The stone age spear is meant to be thrown into large animals like mammoths and boars from a safe distance and make them bleed out, it's not meant to instakill. Likewise, a claymore is a slashing weapon - it can take a head off if you're strong enough, but it'll cause major bleeding wounds in the hands of basically anyone who can lift it. Neither's going to do much of anything against a sturdy wall - or a successful block or parry, making a wall or shield test with either of those moot.

This video is painful, as a person who knows how efficient weapons of this matter actually are, I will explain with a logical summary of every weapon.
    1. "Axe" This axe would likely not have been used during the stone age.
    2. Spear. Very painful how they used it on a small area, when it was originally a hunting weapon, used to take down animals such as deer or other large game which has a bigger area for it to hit, and it was also was used to pierce rather than to chop, which chopping, was shown on the video.
    3. Flintstones club. Used to bonk. Usually made of wood, not plastic.
    4. Axe thing. Made of metal... no further comment, research yourself.
    5. nine rings sword. actually, called the broadsword, the rings were just added as a sacrifice to keep the sword effective and in-tact, was not used for stabbing shields as much as it was used for slicing the enemy. Usually, you don't slice a shield either, that's just ineffective.
    6. Macuahuitl. Used for slicing, not stabbing. Usually used to not slice shields, as stated before. otherwise, fair test.
    7. Monks spade. Never seen this weapon, can't comment.
    8. glad blade, fair test.
    9. will update maybe if i get 50+ likes

To be fair on the shield test, typically the idea is to hit the person behind the shield, not to destroy the shield itself

I find it funny that they called out the stone age axe for not being very sturdy yet literally half the weapons they tested after that broke.

  • @blah-lf8gs
    @blah-lf8gs 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

shields are meant to protect you and stop the weapon from hurting you they wouldn't be attacking the shield but the person behind it so rating it on how much damage it does to the shield is kinda weird to me

  • @GrilledAlive

Actually the first weapon was a hand axe made by Indian tribes that were hard pieces of shale

I remember watching justdustins videos back in 2018 to 2020 and now I'm back after 4 years, the nostalgia just hits hard🥲 it was the 100 layers videos and the flex tape videos which did it for me

The spear was S-tier since it carried our entire ancestry through the stone-age into the bronze age. We are made (and so is the spear) for throwing.

Obviously they based the way how Stone Age Tools and Weapons were made from Video Games and Movies, and we all know Games and Movies are 100% accurate.

in the classical era, swords were meant to give wounds. That would cause someone to bleed out, not cut right through them🤓

The fact that the weapons aren't cutting the shield, just proves that they're not an axe, and are made for cutting flash

classical era, that's a barbarian or Viking shield and it was made weak like that so when the sword would get stuck and then they could disarm the roman

how they ranked some of these weapons in tests were they arent the best suited for annoyed me like the stone spear is meant for piercing and not hiting bone and same for the hunga munga and then the mazuahuitl which is the obsidian club which is meant for the purpose of making alot of lacerations to make people bleed and numerous others which were miss ranking cause they were deadly because medical advancements werent good back then and in the stone age barely existent in the more early times and not including them using numerous weapon wrong at numerous times like the claymore
