Thanks Danilo, you give a gracious presentation as usual, and your brown outfit of various layers sets just the right tone for an "Umbrian country house" afternoon. It's a superb restoration, and I especially like the consistent finishes, such as all kitchens and bathrooms being the same, which gives a smooth flow and harmony throughout the two buildings. Your approach is educational too: I didn't realize historically the ground level was for animals, so for that reason upper levels had only exterior staircase access. Finally, thanks for pointing out fun little details like the older stones on one corner of the main house, and the 1597 fireplace stone. Ciao

What a lovely job they have done restoring these homes. Would have trouble knowing just which one I would want to truly live in! But the 'upstairs one was so very delightful and absolutely cozy.
Then the one that was the 'guesthouse 'was even very perfect and could be the main home if anyone wanted to have it this way!! But then it would interrupt the rental season and best to perhaps not do this?
Love the history of the main home! So much including the views and always know that Umbria is a very nice place to reside.
Great to have radiators and the cooling system to be comfortable no matter what time of the year it is when there. Thank you so much!
The exterior is pristine, the landscape and stonework put you in a spell of intrigue. The pool is hypnotic like the sea. Favorites features, main house: The historic fireplace in the living area is EVERYTHING! (a fireplace junkie here) the floors, ceilings, the staircase and the iron banisters, the windows and shutters, the doors, lots of light throughout, the stunning bathrooms'. The smaller house, it's simply cute and charming. The decor is spot on perfect in the main and smaller house, we see the care and attention to detail...All of it, the entire property is ideal..thanks Danilo and your team for a tour of this precious welcoming property. I am partial to medieval restored country houses, but that being said - this is one of the prettiest places Danilo has shown us. I wish I could tell those who restored it how much I appreciate the choices they made, big and small. The floors and ceilings are wonderful - the shape of the first floor ceilings is so unusual and the huge hand-hewn beams (only 400 years old!) of the second floor made my heart pound. The choice to keep the terracotta, both on the ceilings, floors and arches was fantastic. But the best is that those are perfectly emphasized by the white walls. I notice that even the kitchen counters are perfectly matched to the colors of the terra cotta. It really is so well done. Even things like the iron railings, the sinks, the travertine in the shower - all of this was so well-chosen. I have rarely seen something so well-done! The ancient farm implements and livestock tools on the walls are a wonderful finishing decorative touch!
Danilo was looking particularly dapper this video! As always, he was thorough, clear, charming, and interesting to listen to. Thank you for showing us this lovely property in this beautiful country setting.

Surprising to hear the beams upstairs were not original to the home. That is the work of skilled craftsmen..

I can't believe how much thought goes into the restoration of these homes. I see nothing at all like this here in the States.
The amount of stone, brick and natural wood is just amazing to me. The brick in the ceiling baffles me at how they could even do that.
Whoever buys this home is one very fortunate individual. The way many of the homes you show are constructed, would make me feel so good about that I bought, because it just looks like you actually bought something. In the States here, many home just look like some cardboard and cheap wood. I know that isn't true, but compared to this, that's what it looks like.

These two houses have been very well restored. You made a fine presentation of the property. HOWEVER, I am unable to 'understand' its use. It needs staff for inside and outside. Set, apparently, in 'the middle of nowhere,' it would not be so convenient for an extended family to visit. How often would these wonderful but expensive spaces be occupied: summer vacations and a week at Christmas? The complex lacks a 'heart' for family connection. The next owner might think about adding garden plantings to attract paying guests.
