I would recommend to grow your nails out bit before buying one, (if there short) mostly because if you use your nails it’s much easier to play and you get louder sounds from playing. Anyways- (sorry for making this long then it has to be)

I love this song, Anastasia is one of my favourite animated movies.

Just keep plugging away at it. I bought my kalimba 5 months ago and I have three songs memorized and can play the full songs without error

I loved the movie but remember that in reality, it's the communists that killed Anastasia's family, not Rasputin.
I think then perhaps the stage musical would suit you better
Since the movie is suited for children, it's never accurate. Many Disney princess movies originated from the Brothers' Grimm so the original is more scarier than what you think it is.
@Roxanne Moreno I know that. What I meant was that since the movie itself is for kids, they're leaving the real back story out of it just like the Disney princess movies.

They took what were generally happy wholesome children's tales and made them dark and overwhelmingly violent against women. They were misogynists and I think crediting them with the creation of these stories is more than they deserve.

I'd never even heard of a kalimba, but I was like hey, this looks like a cool instrument a casual like me could learn to do some stuff with. I looked at prices on Amazon and went to sleep. Woke up some hours later, opened gifts with the fam. Guess what my mother got me on a whim, thinking I'd like it. A kalimba.
