Stunning scenery, unbeatable Guzzi big block sound and handling and no crap music, it cannot get any better, this is riding bliss people, trust me this is what riding is all about👍👍
I've had a LeMans IV for the last 34 years. Nothing like it. Other bikes have come and gone but the LMIV is a keeper. Intoxicating ride when flogged and my 600 mile day traveler.
Nothing like the sound of a Le Mans on song. I owned a 1990 MkV for 11 years. Loved the bike. Put it down the road in the wet an hour from home returning from the Phillip Island World Superbikes in 2001. I cried for a week.
Jurgen Treue, yeah the sound is something special. Always manages to put a smile on my chuff. Very sorry to hear of your loss in 2001. I was at that race too. 👍
Nine trips to the Island from 1992 to 2005 for the World Superbikes, all but two on the Le Mans. Only one trip did the bike let me down. She failed to proceed farther than Orbost Victoria on the way down with a bent pushrod caused by a blown head gasket (long story). The perfect bike for trips like this.
Wow, finally a Guzzi video without music , the true noise created by one of the best motorcycles ever is proven here and also a very underrated bike as well. 10/10👍👍
awesome bud, IV had several Mk5's including the Ltd & an SE edition (white/red with red seat & black engine).Never knew what it was except that it would pull thru the redline even in top - when I sold it the guy couldn't ride away quick enough!Love the sound - only tried a go pro once but didn't shield it from the wind so lots of wind noise.Great to see a NZ Guzzi 's on TH-cam.Common everyone add some more - I know there's lots of you out there.
Few people realise how easily that old tech pushrod engine revs out while being beautifully tractable at low and mid RPMs, One of the best ever bike engines.
Now, that's a very nice note. Set up sounds just right. Mine only sounded that good when it was new. I like the look he gives you when you get back to the garage.
Blue lake? Nice ride loving the sound quality. Heading to Welly in two weeks from Auckland on my mk5, hanging out so much I'm watching Guzzi vids at lunch😁
Hi from England Nice ride, great sound. I had a mk1 and mk3 Le Mans with Lafranconi pipes in the 80s, this brings back memories. Had a great ride to the factory in Mandello a couple of times, love the Guzzi. A modern bike that reminds me of riding the mk1 is Triumphs Street Cup, great fun. Gotta ask, what's the red light on the dash? I only remember it being either the engine oil or charging light. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed the clip. The old Guzzi's have a real charm to them alright. Always big smiles after a ride on it. The Street Cup sounds like a bit of fun. They look the business too. The red light is a foul up by the previous owner "getting his wires crossed" quite literally. It's now the headlight light which would normally be green. 😂
@@SB-Kiwi There is one on an auction site, 1987 with 4000 miles. It will end tomorrow. It might goes for more then $ 10 K. Do you think it worth 10 plus K ????
@@nabiha37 that's a bit of a bargain especially with so few km's on it. They're fast becoming collectible and the price is climbing on them at an alarming rate.
hey.... mate... Is this south island? your bike sound like my v7 with modified arrow pipe. very nice. I wish if guzzi makes retro version of this le mans. would be great1
Hi, no this is actually the north island. Near Rotorua. Love the Guzzi sound. Nothing quite like it. You're right, a new retro Le Mans would be great. Thanks. Enjoy your V7!

Bloody excellent sounding bike mate
Thanks 😊.

That's one very old friend. Lovely. 👍
Absolutely grand ! Makes me miss my old Goose ! I had an 85 that I lost dining the resesion in 08 🥺 ! Thank for the memory reboot 🏍😎

Agreed. Thanks mate, pleased you enjoyed it. 👍
Nice of you to bring us along for the ride. Thank you. What an intoxicating noise she makes.
You're most welcome. Yes the sound is glorious. 🙂

Bill M, thanks for the comment, mate. Re the sound, recorded this with an external mic and matched it up with the picture in editing. Cheers.

Lol yeah he loves the old Guzzi still. Shame his legs aren't up for it anymore.
You still own yours?
@@SB-Kiwi That's a pity. Guzzis are like boxer dogs. Beautiful to a few. I left mine behind in Oz. On a Ducati now but missing that torque.
You went around those cars like they were tied to a stump! (to paraphrase Monza from St Outlaws)
Haha yeah the old girl goes well. Thanks for watching 🙂.
Nice machine!! Great rider!!
Thank you 🙂

You got it 😉. Great bit of road that. Glad the vid gave you a bit of pleasure leading up to your trip 👍. Have a good ride mate!
Well all I can say is your Dad is a top bloke
Mike Fry, he is mate. He definitely is. Appreciate the comment, and so will he. 👍
I had one. Everything broke on it but I loved the sound.
Pieter, they are usually quite reliable apart from the classic Italian electrics. But yes, sound is hard to beat. Nothing quite like it I reckon. 👍

What if Moto Guzzi join MotoGP and WSBK? Reaction anyone?
They'd have to move away from being twins, but would be interesting for sure.
overtaking on a yellow line!!! tssk tssk
What yellow lines? 👍
Legal as long a you don't indicate ;)
Try to stay within the speed limits, bro
