In this video I share my experience with octane booster on my TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (with regular fuel recommendation). So whats happens when we use octane booster in our regular fueled engine? Effect of octane booster on fuel efficiency? Effect of octane booster on exhaust emissions? We will find out in this video on Octane booster.

I own rtr 200 2016 model and I've been having tappet noise problem for a while now.
I've tried adjusting the tappet clearance in company spec, higher and lower than company spec aswell but the tappet noise never disappear..
I have changed rocker arms aswell..
I've read some have even changed cam schaft but the noise still persist.
      I've given up.
I was wondering if you are familiar with this problem in rtr 200. If you could give even a little insight it would be really helpful.

I am using this stp booster for past 1 year in my 200 4v..
    It feels smooth while riding..
Obviously engine with more than 10 compression ratio may need..
    For ex r15, 200ns, duke 390
These are high compression engines and the octane booster would make a hell lot of a difference..

I used stp octane booster in my ns 200 bs6, the milage of the bike increased but there was lack of power. Personally don't use octane booster in normal bikes. Rather fill XP95 or power fuel in your bike.

Been using this for my duke, specially touring as 93 octane (now 95) is not readily available outside Delhi. Similar to what you mentioned, the product only works best when revved hard. In city, i did not feel any significant change in the engine behavior. But, that being said, I have always added this to my tank while touring, only to have the mental peace that it might have atleast some benefit over regular petrol outside delhi 😅
Well, the way STP has bumped up its price on amazon, it's evident the demand has increased 😁

Ethanol boosts octane rating a little bit. So, normal E10 petrol is actually around 92-93 octane.

My rtr 200 sucks rain water from the ground. I had to drive home on a road with a water level upto swingarm (no more-no less). The water has entered into oil chamber and spoiled the oil completely and also it has entered a long way and spoiled the air filter too. The residue of oil is still present in the air filter chamber. The mechanic says, water has been sucked through the "breather hose" and nothing can be done to solve this. His only solution is, to not drive on rainy day. Need ur experience & knowledge. Help me out.

For one of your videos, I would request you to make a video on Indian Oil's XP95 which is a 95 octane fuel. Not only in your Apache RTR 200 but try it in your Ritz as well. Let's see if it makes any difference. My experience has been nothing significant. In my BS3 Maestro( uses the same engine as in Activa, but produces a bit more torque) there was a slight hesitation in acceleration in low speed conditions. But once the 45kmph barrier was crossed, there was a marginal improvement, that too sometimes. Haven't used it in my car yet.

Wurth owns Liquimoly and hence some mechanics say they both use the same things inside.
    The result is the same.
Also wurth additives are comparatively inexpensive.
I have used both and liked both.
Can you please check the same in relation to them being equal or not?

@@abhishekdas94 bmw owns Rolls-Royce that doesn't mean their cars are similar. Liquimoly is rolls Royce and wurth is bmw in this case. Just think of wurth additives as average(good) quality while liquimoly additive is a superior quality and one of the top brands in additives thus they charge a premium while wurth sells general product lines at average rates.

When you are in high speed, maybe you can feels the power from octane booster such as quick throttle response. I am using X1R (Malaysia product) octane booster for long distance ride only because i always keep my throttle at 90% to cruise on the highway. I use lowest than recommended ratio due to i still worry about MMT in the octane booster will cause oranges powder (manganese ash) at O2 sensor and spark plug.
It seems certain brand octane booster
cost less than premium petrol in Malaysia.

This works better on my V4 and Z650. You will hardly feel much of a difference if you use this on a single cylinder engine and do anywhere less than 100 kms a day. You will feel less stress from the engine if you tour on a single cylinder engine. Better for bigger capacity engines with high octane number requirements.

I Too Own a G310R, Have been using the XP95 From the purchase of the vehicle, but recently tried XP100 Waahh the bike felt totally different, no heating issues I rarely saw the radiator run, and performance was totally changed, like I got the pull when you accelerate in Duke 390(not totally but somewhat, better than before), Engine Sound was Reduced and finally, the bike was totally smooth... Wish to continue with this but, the Availability and Cost are like 160rs/ltr. so was looking for alternatives like this Octane booster, but have not tried it yet, have you tried octane booster in G310R or Can You post a Video Trying it...
