We're excited to share this Live Outside video from sister-duo Larkin Poe performing a remake of Robert Johnson's "Come On in My Kitchen," which was featured on their 2017 album, Peach. As told by the duo, "We're two southern sisters: born in Tennessee, raised in Georgia. Having grown up in the south, the blues has always been a huge part of our musical upbringing. In the past few years, we've been inspired to strip it back to our roots and pay tribute to the music that raised us... And "Come On in My Kitchen" was one of the first blues tunes we ever learned how to play."

One slide guitar, one voice, two ladies...and limitless talent. Lots of performers can front a terrific band, but very few have the charisma and talent to captivate an audience with such a stripped down presentation. Bravo! Long live the Blues! And much success to Larkin Poe!

@@robertpress2661 megan's guitars are Rickenbacker lap steel guitars; the technique of playing is slide...
@@virgilmoldovan175 technically but not really....you can play a slide on any guitar however her guitar is a lap steel guitar and it utilizes a special slide to play.....so again....lap steel....not slide
It's a slide because the strings are raised to high for Megan to utilize the frets even if she wanted to. And since early 2022 she changed to a Beard Electrolux that she had major input on the design.

Again, superb version. Recorded outside even harder for getting sound depth. You should record this more like a 3:30 extended version of the song and improvise more. Great voice and great slide guitar playing. Namaste
