from the Rulebook: "In order to use an action ability, a player must be able to pay the ability’s cost if it has one and change the game state through
paying that ability’s cost and/or resolving that ability’s effect." So no, Kylo's TIE Silencer cannot work in the way you describe given the rules of game. Since resolving that action would not change the game state, you cannot take it. The only argument that could work in theory is if you paid 2 resources as paying the cost, because that does change the game state. So you can do that I suppose. Also, this does not mean that any action ability can be used from discard, because the rules also state "Cards in decks, hands, and discard piles are “out-of-play.” By default, cards that are out-of-play don’t have the potential to affect the game through use of their
abilities, power, and HP; an ability must state that it affects the game while out-of-play, or be a type of ability that does" So, only abilities the explicitly say they can be used from discard.
This. I can see how it might be confusing since most actions require tapping. But that's part of the cost. Discarded also reads like it is treated as a cost/pre-requisite since it says "if" at the beginning. But the above description says it best.

I would assume starting with the word "If" and there only a single sentence to resolve makes it not possible to attempt the action. That's probably how it's gonna be ruled
With qira you can named any card and not just a card in their hand
it doesnt work as a soft pass because using its action for no effect doesnt change the game state

You play "A New Adventure" with "Bounty Hunter crew". You can ambush twice and take the "A new adventure" back in your hand so basically every round you can just play the event with "Bounty Hunter crew" and take it back from the discard pile.
When you play an event do you discard it before or after the effect of the event? Would those be considered nested actions that you can choose the order of?

@@kellanjones5588 Events resolve while in the Discard Pile, which is why you can for example also get Restock back when playing it.
While not force units, you can use Palpatine's return to replay an Avenger/Devastator at their normal price point (But you get to play it from trash) Essentially giving you an extra play of either of those. (Nvm you kind of touched on this at the end of the card)
Hondo can give the experience to himself once he is out.
Just a quick newbie rules clarification question on A New Adventure: since it's double aspect, if I've only got yellow on one of my leader or base cards, it costs 4 resources, and if I'm not playing yellow at all, it would be 6, correct?

disagree completely about Finalizer. That card is really good with Galactic Ambition to just close the game early in so many match ups. I know it would be super risky in that case but I already play Iden green with Devastator that way and this is just better.
If you sneak attack a Finalizer, do you get to keep all the captures?

Kylo Ren seems like FFG trying to say, Hey look, IG isn't the worst leader anymore. He dies to everything and is like a 3 or maybe 4 power on the flip. But this is appropriate, he's a totally useless and ineffectual character in the movies too. Taking an Action and a card for 2/0 is not a good action. Its the same thing as why everyone finds cards that do this with no attack action cheat are useless too. Maybe in Limited he wont be terrible...
Kylo's Tie dies to everything. Based on the wording it should not work at all. You can't take an action from a card that is not in play. If it does work, then yes, its an endless source of 'soft' passing. However
1.15.4. To use an action ability, a player chooses a card they control with an action ability. They pay the ability’s cost if it has one, then resolve the ability’s effect.
1.5.2. Ownership and Control B. A player is the “controller” of a card they put into play. This includes their base, their leader, resources in their resource zone, and units, upgrades, and tokens they play or put into play. A player keeps control of a card until either that card leaves play or their opponent takes control of it.
I am sure they will update the rules, but this one is funny to me.
A New Adventure looks like one of the best cards to date.

I keep hearing people saying they use force throw to discard cards? You don't discard a card, your opponent does.

@@LiterallyUnplayable I'll come back here and admit you're right if the meta ever involves you force throwing yourself.
@@88tallyn I think chirrut decks are currently force throwing redemptions or Lukes from their hand to one shot Boba Fetts so I think it’s totally viable.
@@LiterallyUnplayable I see what you're getting at, Chirrut isn't really part of the meta though that doesn't sound like a terrible play. Maybe I'll be wrong one day.
Force throw is often used to throw ur own cards to guarantee kill for 1re

Sorry but I don't see the Kylo being good. Flips and almost immediately dies much like Iggy. Also may have little to no attack unless you have 0 cards in hand. But then you have zero cards in hand leaving your opponent unafraid to play whatever they want. It just has to be so specific when you flip him and try to do anything. We shall see.
Can we please get a Cara Dune card?
Jay kind of sucks, very spoiler video is just him saying all the cards are bad and are terrible. Not really the greatest content.
