The designs of these levels are so fucking cool. I love how esoteric the puzzles are. Like I would never have figured any of that shit out lmao. Badass game, I wish I had played it more.
I played this as an adult some time back ('07) and I couldn't even get thru the game lol (was overwhelmed I guess). Grew up with the likes of Spyro, Crash etc.
The final battle took place at the end of the game, and if the player defeats the final boss, the ending will play, followed by the staff credits, who developed the game.
Finally, I did it. When I was a child I remember a gamecube game about someone with claws collecting hearts. My brother and I past the last 15 years looking that GameCube game, today I found it writing in Google "Gamecube game where you collect hearts" and the first result gave me the name.
1. I have found a Shrad you cant reach and you can see it if you teleport to the high mountain of the second level (where the bones are) where you find the diary entry. If you stand where the two cactus are you will see it far above where you cant reach it in the direction of the flying building. 2. I also tried to reach 200 Shrads in the hope of getting a second Wraith Heart but even when I got over 300 Shrads on the counter nothing unfortunately happened (I got so much by collecting all Shrads from the first level, go to the tower and got to the Sand castle, exited the sand castle and got to the second level without going back to the Gate) 3. does anyone knows what the time machine does in that level when the dart hits the pointer ?
Never could finish those but I liked how hard the platforming was as a kid and how hard it was. Could never finished but every time I played when I beat a level I felt so rewarded
I already cleared this game 100% once before but I'm in the process of doing it again. I am not looking forward to the 100 shards on Citadel of Shadows.
This game brings back so many great memories! Gotta admit my favorite part was fighting the RastaSumo Wrestler, especially when he flips you off at 6:22 absolutely priceless 😂

@@infernapocalypse I'm using Dolphin and playing the Gamecube version of this game, which I would suggest using instead of the PS2 one. Even on the real console, I would consider the Gamecube version to be better, although I thought the Xbox one was the best, although emulation is not very good for Xbox.

You mean 1:36:00? That is a tricky one. Although it may already be obvious, the only thing I can really mention is that the balls can also take away the black squares, but where they appear is random, as far as I know. That was how I ended up winning at 1:36:22.
Jesus this is the hardest game for me to remember from my childhood and I am unsure if it is it but it feels like it. All I ever have to go off is the winging of arms like that, some vague waterfall with a text that makes so much sense actually cute humor in all seriousness. I don't think the difficulty is too crazy, although I think I did find some parts to be fairly difficult the first time I played this game. I am a pretty big fan of this game, and I definitely would consider it to be own of my favorite 3D platformers. The control of the character, in particular, I find to be very well done.

This actually is not a speedrun and it doesn't meet the requirements for a speedrun. There is a real speedrun of this game by someone else that was 100% in 3 hours and 1 minute. I'm sure it features more crazy moves than anything I did here, and I only did these stages one at a time.

I also think the game is underrated. This is one of my favorite 3D platformers. A remake would be pretty cool, but I think I would prefer a sequel. Unfortunately, the company that owns the IP hasn't even done as much as release the game without changes on Steam. While I don't expect a sequel or remake any time soon, I do think we will see it on Steam eventually.

I have the PS2 and Xbox versions. The Xbox version has MUCH better graphics (extremely noticeably better on the Xbox) and the Xbox version has more sound effects and character enemy sounds (for example, the little enemy dinos in the Xbox version make a lot of sounds, but are semi-silent in the PS2 version).
I believe it was the same on Gamecube, but what is considered inverted seems to be inconsistent from one game to another. I consider the left and right movement to be backwards, but I find the up and down movement to be ok. There are too many games out there that just don't give the player a choice so I just have to adjust to however a game works, although every game really should have options. When this game eventually comes out on Steam (no idea when that might be), I think there's a decent chance it will have an option to change the camera controls.

You can collect an extra one at 1:48:50. This only gets you to 82 hearts if you collect it before you get the regular heart in that area. If you already have 81 hearts, then it's too late to get to 82 without starting a new file.
There is a lot of missing content that I would like to see restored, but I'm really only expecting to see a very basic port with little improvement from the original, which is still better than nothing.
