FYI: Lea Salonga was the first woman of Asian descent to win a Tony FOR ACTING. Willa Kim was an Asian woman who won her first Tony Award for costume design in the 80s and her second Tony on the same night that Lea won hers. (I'm pretty sure Willa Kim even won her Tony Award earlier in the night in 1991, so Lea wasn't even the first Asian woman to win a Tony Award that evening!)
What a talent! And what a disgrace that she was shut out of opportunities because she's Asian. I hope she and V of BTS collab on a fabulous project when he returns. She loves him so much and their voices would meld so beautifully. 💜
