When you step back and realize that Grian did 91 hearts of damage collectively on Gem and the Scotts, you get a renewed appreciation for his PvP skills. Grian should really be proud of those final moments because he certainly went out swinging and it was insane to watch. Can't wait to see what twists the next Life Series holds if they bring it back again.

The first episode I watched all I saw of Grian's death was the lightning flash. I thought he'd fallen off something like Limited Life and was prepared to be disappointed lol Then I watched his POV and saw how well he actually did.
Tbh Cleo should have made an escape route for them. They would have had enough time to escape since it took a while for Gem and the Scotts to recover from the shock. But if Cleo decide to join in on the fight rather than just shooting arrows from above they would have had a bigger chance on killing 1 or if not all 3 of them. I'm just saying if Cleo did something, like ANYTHING it would have ended up really well for Grian and Cleo.
Just imagine what would have happened if gem decided not to target grian. Gem may have actually won

Actually wild - if Secret Life had used 20 max hearts without exceeding that limit through kills, Grian would have gotten a triple kill without even swinging his sword

Did you mean 20 max HP, instead of hearts? I don't remember the specifics but Scott only took 9-10 hearts from the TNT itself. If they did 20 hearts he lived, if you mean 20 HP he would've died or narrowly live.

I'm fairly certain he commissions them, since we know that there is a bit of preplanning in the series.
In Limited Life, Scott had seemingly already decided to live in the ocean and I'm fairly certain they can request certain biomes.
So the answer is;
He either find a biome or picks one.
Through gameplay, he pairs up with someone and they make a name.
Scott goes to the person he commissions OR he edits his skin.
He puts the skin on :)
I would assume that everyone on the Life Series commissions/creates three skins to have them ready.
Again, in Limited Life, there was a clear story being told in the different skins that Scott had (he was becoming a coral creature).

people doubting scar wouldn't place well or just dismissing his achievements and giving all the credit to grian? man it's third life all over again. i enjoy desertduo from time to time don't get me wrong but it's so frustrating seeing people draw connections by basically just pinning all of scars personal victories on grian. i have no idea how you all saw how scar brushed off the wither fight so casually and then still think grian is carrying him or he'd place low.
the main reason for scars downfalls is almost always because he's not aware of his own surroundings but he's extremely talented at the game and better at convincing those around him he isn't a threat. i am begging people to stop infantilising him and recognise he's a fully grown man who knows these games very well. grian's damage to the gem and the scotts was very impressive and all that but you can compliment it without just giving him all the credit for scars victories...again. scar deserved his win and it was so satisfying from every angle, even more so that he did it more or less completely solo. i don't want to see anyone acting like he's stupid after this.
No no. Scar did the work this season. Bro got 12 kills. Gem had 8. Scar was a one man wrecking machine and he obliterated Gems yellow life hearts in session 7 during the boogie curse.
Not only that, but the strategy he employed at the end was brilliant! As he said himself, he only really ended up with the Mounders in the final battles because he was with them at the moment the fight between these two group really started. A small change and for all we know he could've been the part of that Grian kamikaze action (and on either side, really).
@@sallomon2357 yes, his finale strategy was perfectly executed. It's probably the only way Scar could actually win anyways. When he's not part of a team he has no hesitation about who he kills. Dudes a PvP menace too.

Even in 3rd life Scar killed many people. He killed Etho, Ren, martyn and Bdubs. He has the 2nd most kills in life series for a REASON.

It wasn't really a 2v1 for Gem, Pearl mostly stood back only contributing one swing of her sword to Scar's aid.
She also passively contributed because Gem split her attention between the two. Don't get me wrong Scar Earned that victory, but don't downplay Pearl's involvement.
@@CyberBlastoise True true. I think I just feel a little salty about Gem saying they're gross for 2v1-ing her considering Grians whole scenario with 3v1 but I know no one meant any real harm.

I would just like to make a quick list about how accurate the meme at 7:05 is:
Grian/Scott is the caretaker of the duo and Pearl/Scar is basically the crazed child.
They teamed up in the first two seasons (Desert duo in 3rd, Night duo in Last) and were an iconic team where one of the team members won that season.
In Double Life, these pairs were soulmates, and something happened within the first few episodes for them to become ex-soulmates, and Grian/Scott left their soulmate to go to someone else, causing Scar/Pearl to go rouge.
And, unless I’m wrong about Scott’s kill, Grian/Scott both final-killed their past soulmate in limited life.
I legit went insane over this picture.
Grian played huge role in Scar's victory. And also Scott's dogs did as they stole +10 hearts from him. And also Pearl that allowed him to tag along. And...
Yeah you get the point. Stuff happens, it all influences other stuff that happens but ultimately Scar won. Brian's stunt could've helped Bdubs if be didn't jump into Joel's arrow...

Scott was incredibly wary of an absent Grian, and rightfully so. Grian took 9 hearts from Gem with a trap on the stairs, and then took 91 hearts from the three of them before being taken down.

Well how do you decide who instigated? Pretty sure the PvP happened because gem and the scotts were chasing after grian and Cleo through the portal.

According to you, when was it instigated? When gem said we got to kill grian and followed in portal? Or earlier when grian mine trapped gem specifically? Or maybe when gem found grian and seemed to strike him first and called for the Scotts? (At least that's what it looked like in her pov)
Like with how much fighting is going on in this last session it seems so weird to act like one specific person is the instigator.
Also I'm not mad at anyone, it's clear they were having fun and all in on the game.
Though gem calling it gross left a weird taste in my mouth, especially since pearl participated a total of one strike in the "2v1"

What I don't understand is why you're arguing this. It is just a game after all. Though you definitely sound like the people that gave Gem a lot of stress over the later eps.

I actually got into the Life series via Lizzie, if you can believe it, and watched her POV on Last Life first. Then, many many months later, I watched one of Jimmy’s shorts (the one where Grian first appears on Empires) and discovered that Grian has cats and he knits them. That was enough to get me to start Grian’s HC 6. (I stopped halfway through because dang, it's really long) AND THEN I DISCOVERED THE LIFE SERIES! I also happened to discover that Last Life was not, in fact, the first of this series. So I backed up and went back to 3rd Life. If you read till the end of this, thanks :3

It's so funny how many single things could have changed the end result this time.
Sure most seasons were close, but this time so many small things added up:
Grian dealing a little less damage, Cleo not using the lava bucket in the Nether/refilling it before returning, Joel shooting bdubs a second later/not at all, Scott dying to pearl instead of Gem, Impulse staying with Scott and Gem, Skizz fighting back immediately instead of trying to run, BigB not being muted, Joel not blowing himself up multiple times, Tango not risking his small hp to burn down Bdubs globe, people not being nice to Tango and instead keeping the gift hearts for their group, Scar joining the roommates instead of the mounders, Martyn not trying to sneak up invisible to Grian and Cleo
Any of these things could have changed the result, and I don't think we ever had so many in the final session
You know I thinking back to it and scar did place pretty well in every life season. Something like top 3 in every season but dubble life. We should not really be surprised that he won even though at this point he litteraly dies professionally.
