I was surprised at how many people where shocked at gem's task. I expected the non red tasks to get even deadlier, especially after the first death.
Jimmy may have broken his curse, but he's still the canary in the coal mine.
If grian is forever a pesky bird, Then Jimmy will forever be a canary.
Yeah everyone was still suggesting normal easy tasks in week 6 videos and I was like " it's week 6 and mostly greens still with most reds dying off they're going to introduce a lot of chaos with deadly tasks"
Also I thought it was interesting the baby magmas had the same base I didn't know that happened so I learned something new
Just shocked at the extent was expecting something like gems but more pass it on than Zombie horde
Idk, it was after lizzies death the chaos happend, yes only reds died i the wither vs warden fight. But that was chaos. So it happend after lizzies death not jimmys.

So what I'm getting from this video is that Etho's Dishwasher is the true winner of Secret Life (in our hearts, of course)
This aged well with Martin killing the dishwasher in the finale
Scar kind of did complete his task, he just didn't cash it in in time
Thats been Scar's task throughout the entire life series, which is just to be the villian. 3rd life against monarchy, last life with the crystals and boogeyman kills, double life he and Grian duo was feared and viscous, limited life being potent with kills, and now with doing opposite of players and not having an alliance with anyone and just being unhinged. Also his constant of arson

I can see both sides of the coin for episode 7, on one hand it really was a wild, exciting ride, on the other hand it completely destroyed the very dun angel/devil task for example

I'd argue a Warden doing nothing is scarier then it doing something. If it's doing something, you know where it is, but you DON'T wanna lose the giant creature that can two shot people in Netherite.

I really liked session 7. I thought it had the delightful chaos of the other seasons and provided the necessary push for the endgame.
I fully agree. The total number of episodes in secret life was already looking to outgun the previous series, and due to the hardball task(s) levelled at Grian and Etho last session (also the result of this late series endgame push), people are now also out of the series. There's incentive to start bringing things into endgame toot-suite. I'm anticipating more hardballs next session, and I'll be interested to see who ends up with the server game-changer this time (or hell - what tasks collide to make it!)
@@nixedphoenix exactly. I love this season but I think under 10 episodes is really the sweet spot for the life series.
I guess some people just didn't know that what we are shown even in previous seasons is not entirely real. It's not scripted, but the creators can, have, and will continue to take stuff out that doesn't fit and add stuff in to make it better. The life series (and any youtube video) is meant to be entertaining at the end of the day.
I kind of agree I wish that the deadlier tasks came a little bit later or a task that would effect literally the whole server didn’t exist because it made me unmotivated to watch all the pov’s

people fail to understand that gem´s task was needed. after the red cleansing of session6, something had to be done to make the series end faster, we dont know as audience, but the gang more than likely have already a planned timeline for the series to end, before starting they already know that the series is going to end in X episodes X being a number that is close to 8. i dont know if the series is going to end next session, but is for sure going to end by session9. is actually quite hard to cordinate 15 people to play something for 2 hours weekly for too many weeks, specially with the timezones that these 15 particular people have, so is clear that before starting there is already an agreed upon number of episodes.
the entire point of the task gimmick is to create conflict so i don't know why people are shocked it created conflict

(Seriously though, when did that start? I only got into the Life series very recently- my knowledge is limited to Secret Life)
Basically it started in a server called evo smp by Grian like years ago and was brought back by Martyn in 3rd life and then just continued into every life series hosted by Grian.
The watchers are things that watch and the people behind the life series. We learn that they feast on negativity and hatred and that Grian is confirmed to be a watcher.
The listeners are an extension and wer know little about them.
All this video did was make me wonder what sprite that is of a zombie most top right here: 9:57 . It’s not from PvZ1 or 2, I’m just confused now
