You can now add the Pirates-Reds game on September 23, 2023, where the Pirates were trailing 9-0 had 13 unanswered runs and then went on to win 13-12.

That’s a good one. 2023 was overall a good year for Pirates baseball. A few other moments that come to mind from this year would be Ji-Hwan Bae’s walk-off home run, and Drew Maggi’s MLB debut. Neither would make the top 20, but were great moments nonetheless

With all due respect, HOW can you leave Doc Elias June 12, 1970 no-hitter? Sure, he walked 9 batters, but still, it was a no-hitter. Also, the thing that made it extra special is Doc got his days he started mixed up, and thought he was off that day. Before he showed up to the stadium, he took a few hits of acid, aka LSD!!!!!
How he even found the pitcher's mound is a miracle. To throw a no hitter while that high is unreal. He said he couldn't feel the ball or clearly see the batter. The catcher wore reflective tape on his fingers so Doc could see him.

Where’s Rennie Stennett’s 7 hit game against The Cubs @ Wrigley Field where they beat them 20-0 in 1975?

Excellent list. Kind of surprised Doc Ellis throwing a perfect game while
presumably tripping on acid, didn't make the list.

Great stuff. I saw the game where they clinched in '13 with the play at the plate. Man, I thought the runner would have a chance to score a run. But, the fielder recovers the ball and cuts down the runner at home. Greatest play ever. Even though I'm not a fan of the Pirates. What about Gerrit Cole's debut with the team? Surely it would've made the list.

C'mon dude, I'm a Cubs fan, and even I know Roberto Clemente HAAAATED being called "Bobby". He corrected people ALL the time.

The night Bob Prince returned to the booth in 1985 and the Pirates scored 9 runs in the first inning he was doing the play by play could have made the Top 20 as well.

Omission! Should be emphasized that this was the last Hit, and also the very last At Bat of Clemente's life. He was killed on 12/31/72

It was "The Great One's" Last Regular season at bat in his career. He did play in the 1972 NL Championship Series that year.

You blew one big time on the thumb nail ... we are Black and GOLD. NOT yellow. Check your history.

Hello, I knew it was black and gold. I only included “black and yellow” to tie it with the song, which has been used as an anthem for the Pirates and other Pittsburgh teams that use the same/similar colors

Pirates fan here....IN 2013 the astros had lost over 100 games 3 years in a row....new owner took action....revamped the whole minor league system, changed the minset of scouts and coaches...even took the astros out of the national league and put them in the american league, and took their spring training camp from Florida to Arizona....hence, since that time the astros are always at the top of the standings and have won worldseries....when will pirates DO SOMETHING?
