Hurricane Beryl Slams Through Mexico, Moves Towards Texas After Destruction In Caribbean

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula on Friday morning, having previously caused 11 deaths in Jamaica and the Caribbean. It weakened to a tropical storm with 60 mph winds as it moved across the Yucatan. However, Beryl is forecasted to re-strengthen over the Gulf of Mexico. As of 11 p.m. C.T. Friday, it was about 615 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas, with sustained winds of 60 mph. A hurricane watch is in effect for the Texas coast, from the Rio Grande to San Luis Pass, and for mainland Mexico from the Rio Grande to Barra el Mezquital. Watch the video to know more.
