All these shotguns look and feel so fancy but there never gonna compete with an old remington
I've had nothing but problems from Remington which is kind of surprising (shotguns at least I love their rifles) I may just be unlucky
An Average Sniper maybe unlucky I love my 870 it gets the job done on ducks, turkeys, geese, and grouse( a little clunky for grouse though)

The dance of calling is so besutiful/polarizing to watch. I’m also assuming as an avid deer hunter, not so much turkey, that they are a lonely friggin bird just always looking for a friend.
The other Seek One video about hog hunting in the quarry pooped up. After watching that one, I came to the channel page to see what else there was.

Did the same thing in Tennessee this year. Absolute beast of a gobble, could hear him spitting and drumming in top of the ridge, he peaked over and I saw a big white head and let him have it. 4 3/8" beard. Lol tasted great though!

We had the same issue with our Benellis for years.. spring snow goose hunting was brutal on them. Only issue we ever had with our SBE and SBE2s though.
I have killed tons of turkeys, but I had a jake fool me this season, too. Very similar situation. It was a great hunt, and I wasn’t even concerned about it being a jake. Congratulations.

Can confirm the shells don’t always push up, especially with 3”. I have a Stoeger and it did the exact same thing to me 2 weeks ago when rabbit hunting up here in Ontario. Frustrating. Took it home and completely cleaned it out and oiled it up…still does it
That has happend to my friends benelli a bunch too and my Stoeger. Sold it and now I stick with my 870 or 1187 never let me down.
870 for life
Actually had the opposite problem. The 870 I had been using was horrid. Switched it out for a used Benelli nova pump (which was actually cheaper than the used 870s) and it’s been working like a dream. Only downside is it’s UGLY 😂. The older Remington wingmasters are and will always be one of the greatest guns ever made but the new stuff I crap in my opinion.
Never had a problem with my Weatherby SA-459 20 gauge. That thing is a turkey killin machine!!! That would have made me throw up!!! Especially after calling him across the river! That is usually impossible! I called my first WV bird across the river this year. Flew to 50 yds, he closed to 35 and that was it! ❤️ the channel!!!

Zeroed in with Zeke I’ve got a new 870 and it runs perfect. It’s killed loads of turkeys, dove and ducks. Hell I even dropped it in the flooded timber in Arkansas, picked it up dumped the water out of the barrel and it ran perfect, still does to this day

Sometimes we push too hard wanting to be successful and hunting turns into just killing. Even so, that Jake would have fooled any seasoned veteran. There are Super Jakes in the woods for sure. Killed a few myself.

Banshee Cartel a Jake is an immature male turkey. A Tom on the other hand is a mature male turkey.

I shot a jake this year and I knew it was a jake before I shot it 😂. We watched him for a week. He had multiple hens and was the dominant bird of the area.
It happens I've done the same thing more than once and any seasoned turkey hunter that says he or she hasn't is probably lying. Congrats good job and thanks for sharing it

Guys, the reason this is a great channel with the content is the spiritual factor. These guys believe in Jesus and try to live for him. That’s why the channel is awesome and creative. Love it! No bad language, I can show the wife and grandkids .

Exact reason I got rid of my Benelli. Switched back to a 870 super mag and solved the problem quick.
Benelli Nova/supernovas are just as reliable as the 870s from what I’ve seen. Pumps are without a question better in a turkey hunting scenario like this however. Did you have a SBE?

Dont worry its not just a benelli thing. My stoeger m3500 did the same thing to me on my first shotgun turkey. Granted stoeger is/was made by benelli and uses the same inertia system i believe. He came into the decoy perfect and "click" he immediately turned and started scooting away. I reracked and luckily the noise caused him to stop and poke his head up and i was still able to make the shot.

How y'all don't have 1M + subs I don't know! Love the channel! I sold Benelli had nothing but issues with it not to mention the gas ring in my SA would fail and it was a single shot. I run an SX4 and love it.
Reminds me of the film, "The Deer Hunter." Our village folks strongly believe that those who hunt helpless, innocent animals in the wilderness often die from accidents or suicide............
