One still in original packaging and one that I bought loose for extra POW factor. The only other cars I have with that finish are the Johnny Lightning Camaro Collection First Shots from 1999, the three car set of Twin Mills 30th anniversary and a green Deora from 1997.

Order '85% Food Grade Phosphoric Acid", it will be your best choice; I use it for cleaning antique radio chassis.
I'm a retired Boeing Engineer, back in '92/'93, we (voluntarily) assisted the Smithsonian at Silver Hill, MD, in restoring avionics from the B-29 "Enola Gay".
They tested 17 different polishing mediums on the aluminum alloy skin; "Flitz" won out, however, "Nevr-Dull" wadding was a close second, and "Simoniz Chrome Cleaner" brought up the pack. "Nevr-Dull" wadding did the best job on what little exposed 'pot metal' was used.

MR. Diecast, the Deora was originally based on the Dodge A-100 pickup, very similar to the Ford pick-up you have on your work bench. the original Deora was not much of a hot rod. it had the basic slant 6 with an automatic transmission.

Instead of vinyl paint (i’m only a minute in) to paint the tanneau cover, Marhyde makes an etch paint called Black Satin. Super adhesion, especially to softer metals, and a great lustre. The regular Marhyde vinyls look good but you may have adhesion problems. Now I‘ll watch the rest of the video ... likely to see you using Black Satin.

That restoration looks great! Seems like a waste that someone cut the axels for the wheels or what ever. As I understand the axels usually is in good original condition whereas the wheels may not be. And maybe replacement axels are hard to come by or maybe they are quite expensive - I don’t know. All I know I would never cut the axles. But great looking Deora restoration:-)

And here I am using the good ol' Harbor Fright Deeelux like a boss. Guess I'm just used to it. Or maybe just got lucky with a good one. That is the only problem with Harbor Fright Tools. You kind of have to do your own quality control. And may have to exchange a couple before a good one hits your hands. As for any detail work. That airbrush wont do that. Paint the back side of lexan rc bodies, it does great. And primer of course. Or maybe acrylic top coat. Something like that the deelux shines at.
