@TheMamaluigi300 yup It was sold in US in the collection. I had it. But I also still had my 32X version and oddly enjoyed that more. The ps2 version doesn't quite play right. Saturn didn't play correctly either. I hear the Switch version they finally did it right, bringing home the actual arcade ver.
@@ricardohuff8774 Yeah, no, I think everything's available from the start. It was a budget release, so it would make sense. I think the only thing it would try to save would be high scores.
Those yellow triangular-shaped skid effects, does it look like that when running the game on the console or is that a shortcoming of the emulator? The game looks fantastic overall for a 16-bit remaster but those yellow triangles look kinda shit. Even the original arcade Pole Position effects (smoke) look much better than that. Thanks for the upload.
Search Virtua Racing on Google, please. You will find out that this game was one of the greatest creation made by SEGA in the golden era of video game, which then followed with the first SEGA rally.
So, this is a Japan-only PS2 remaster of Virtua Racing.
Japan always gets the good stuff...
CozmicVideos It did get bundled in Sega Classics Collection
I saw this on sell here in Mexico in 2005 in Walmart. But I didn't buy it. I regret so much

Virtua Racing is one of those few games that look good stretched to 16:9
It had real widescreen support in one cabinet but maybe the ui made people think it was stretched
wow this is the best I have ever seen virtua racer look on any platform
The 1st 3D polygon racing arcade game, I played it in real arcade machine in late 80's.
You played Winning Run from 1988 than.
How could you have played this in the late 80s Virtua Racing didn't appear until 1992
Nostalgia is a helluva d rug 😁😉
Looped tire screeches and confetti coming out of the exhaust.
9/10
no
I have it myself, it´s so incredible smooth.
Este juego deveria aver estado en Dreamcast. Sega se porto mal con su consola y con sus seguidores 😢.
I dont remember the tires screeching so much in the original...
That engine sound is similar to a nuclear power plant motor
Looks like the WRC Rally Evolved game
the first 3d racing game?
Maybe ... im not sure mate. :P
Tepo Joye 99 no
I think the first 3d Racing game was Winning Run by Namco.
