Thanks for your informative video. I do not tip at counter service restaurants because they are not doing anything extra for me like a sit-down restaurant does.
I don’t tip, never have, anywhere where; I have to walk in and stand in line to place my order, pay at counter, get my own drinks and condiments and napkins and plastic silverware, sit down and possibly go back for an incorrect item, unwrap my item from paper or cardboard , clean up and dump tray. No way! Here on NC side of smokies, they charge 4% just for using a credit card or debit card, and not cash. I grew up in business and had my own, that was just part of doing business. Makes me wonder if the business takes that from the tip before paying server. Some small businesses are doing it also, as well as restaurants, the 4%. Hey, as long as people pay it, they gonna keep on charging. I don’t do it. I’ve only had Starbucks maybe 5 times in my adult life and it was out of necessity because of being at an airport etc. rediculous! People are allowing themselves to be nickeled and downs to death! Except it’s $5-$50 a pop for uneccesary things in life that add up to hundreds per month.
IMHO tips should be on the quality of the service and not based on the bill total. A customer should get the same service if he or she got a hamburger or a $30.00 dollar steak. If they do get the same exact attentive service then why should one patron pay him/ her more just because of what they ordered? Instead of a waiter/waitress having to EARN more tip, all they have to do is rely on high dollar menu choices to be picked by a patron then they know they will get a big tip anyway.
Tipping in my opinion is based on experience. No way am I tipping before I've had the experience. So I'd probably not choose that place for dining. In my opinion, at least in our area, most of the Mexican restaurants pretty much serve the same food and it all tastes the same. Will & Dawn I love ya and admire you, and I don't mean to be critical but I think you bend over backwards at times to avoid being totally honest about restaurant reviews because you just don't want to give a bad one. Thanks for sharing your info though.
Food didn't look too bad we would probably try it. A quesedia is normally super thin/flat Dawn it looked pretty good. Thanks for the review. Hope you review Roma Table.
I tip when I sit down with a waiter, or if I order door dash or delivery of any kind.... but otherwise, I don't tip. If I absolutely have to, I would tip maybe a dollar but thats it.
oh wow this is so sad to see. Tijauna Flats in Florida is WWWAAAYYYY better AND COOLER! This seems like a very watered down version of an awesome company. Looks like we need to come check this place out since we know the old school Tijauna Flats and can compare. Thanks for the review guyz!
We love Tijuana Flats down in Florida - I don’t think I’d do a quesadilla there - but their flautas are great! I do the black bean ones and you ask them to grill them instead of fry them - so good! Try their tacos next time too
This tipping thing is getting difficult to figure out. At some restaurants, the waiters make $2.10 an hour, while at other restaurants they make up to $18 per hour. On top of that, some people want a tip for pouring a cup of coffee or bringing you your to-go food and I will not tip for that, but I also tip very well for very Good service.
Before you got to the end of the video you got what I was thinking. A lot of Mexican style of restaurants. Expensive, cheap food. I do not tip for being served at a counter.
Haven't Seen a Video about Huck Fins. I hope to see that one from yall one day. Its a great Staple in Piegeon Forge and my family loves it. Great atmosphere.
Glad you liked the portions. We have a lot of these in Florida and also Chipotle. I consider them fast food Mexican for sure. We have too many authentic ones here to go to these chains. Thank you for the review
This place had the worst Mexican food everything was stale chips salsa wasn't that good and it didn't make sense before I got anything when I order I had to tip them and I felt rushed to put my order in just horrible will and Dawn y'all was very nice and considerate😢
It seems tipping is everywhere now in the States. Tipping is not expected in the UK. We only tip for great service e.g. a great meal in a restaurant, cab drivers, porters, hairdressers. Cheers
It would be nice if servers made enough money that they didn't depend upon tips everyone in their lifetime should have a job where the pay is based mostly on tips if only to understand how meaningful gratuity is Great job on the review guys
first time i went to 5 guys they tried to get me to tip, regardless i ordered a bunless burger and large fires for $21., i won't tip someone who works behind the counter only, tipping is getting to be too entitled for many of these places, i will stick to taco bell lol.
Great video! I was never a fan of Tijuana Flats. Here in the South Charlotte area, there were 2 of them that I'm aware of. They both flopped. I remember the tortilla of the burrito I ordered being thick, dry and almost fuzzy. I felt as if I were eating a stuffed animal. The texture completely overpowered everything inside. This may also be due to the fact that there was nothing redeeming about any of the other ingredients. It was as bland as bland could possibly be. We struggled through the meal as every bite felt like an unrewarding chore. It will likely fail within a year or 2, once the novelty wears off. Not to be harsh, but I am surprised Tijuana Flats even still exists. These are just my personal thoughts. Everyone is different. Maybe this location is somehow different than the ones I've tried in the past.
Thanks for the vlog! I don’t have a problem with tipping anywhere that they bring the food to my table. Even if I have to tip ahead of time when I pay. Most of the people work hard, work crappy hours, and serve the public for little pay.✌️
I was there today, and the people who work there are nice, but that’s honestly the only positive thing that I can say about it. There was absolutely nothing good about anything that my friend and I had there today. In fact, it was so bad, it was inedible, and I left almost all of it on the table. There were a couple stumbles and mixups in regards to things we ordered, but that was very minor compared to the quality of the food. I have not yet found a good Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant in eastern Tennessee. But out of all of them, this one is towards the bottom of the list.
I'm fed up with everyone demanding a tip before service, or just for taking an order that I drove to get. I tip well when someone earns it always have but when they flip that iPad around I always hit 0. I work hard myself my paycheck is my tip.
Tips are becoming a fueled with toxicity concept. I feel like this money grab is beginning to backfire on those with that sense of entitlement. You earn what you work for, you shouldn't be pre-rewarding. This is a direct impact of the culture of the trophy generation, we are reaping what we sowed.
Nothing is wrong with tipping as long as the waiter is good if the waiter is rude and doesn't keep my drinks filled and service sucks I not tip and I will not recommend anyone to the restaurant
If they didn’t turn the music down, when I asked them, I’d of never bothered giving them a review. I don’t know if you did ask , I’m just saying… then the tip thing?!?! No, I’d of walked and never given them free advertising.
I love your videos. I know this has nothing to do with the restaurant review, but do you sell your pictures? Those photos you took last week of the barns and horse in the snow are so beautiful.
I don't sell them. I have photos of postcards that I have taken and the great smokey mountains. Send me your address in an email, and I will send you some
The name of the Restaurant is funny because Tijuana is on the border of California and nowhere near Texas. I am guessing it was started by non-Mexican people who were geographically challenged. Ha Ha. Over here in San Diego where I live, Tijuana and San Diego have a more authentic style of Mexican food that is different from TexMex.
Problem w/tipping is we usually do 10-15% of the bill. But prices have gone up. So service is same but tips are higher. Even if service is good it is expected that you pay 10-15%.
Thanks! God has blessed me, and I want you to treat yourselves to something nice. Love your videos.
Thank you so much Teresa you are more then kind. ❤️
I have been to one in Fla. I love the different sauces.
I agree, a tip is something you choose to do if you get good table service 😮
Thanks for your informative video.
I do not tip at counter service restaurants because they are not doing anything extra for me like a sit-down restaurant does.
Tipping is OUT OF CONTROL these days! I’m sick of it!
I don’t tip, never have, anywhere where;
I have to walk in and stand in line to place my order, pay at counter, get my own drinks and condiments and napkins and plastic silverware, sit down and possibly go back for an incorrect item, unwrap my item from paper or cardboard , clean up and dump tray. No way!

I tip on the quality of service. I dont care to pay for good service but a tip is just that. A reward for good service.
At that type of restaurant we do not tip when we pay, we leave our tip on the table when we are done.
Sounds like 👍 a great idea
Tipping in my opinion is based on experience. No way am I tipping before I've had the experience. So I'd probably not choose that place for dining. I agree with you on the tipping. I don't tip if I'm not seated and waited on. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Food didn't look too bad we would probably try it. A quesedia is normally super thin/flat Dawn it looked pretty good. Thanks for the review. Hope you review Roma Table.
We had a wonderful dinner at El Charros in Fraser
I tip when I sit down with a waiter, or if I order door dash or delivery of any kind.... but otherwise, I don't tip. If I absolutely have to, I would tip maybe a dollar but thats it.
Hay Will and Dawn, my wife and I really like Indian food.. are there any Indian restaurants in the area and if so could you do a review on them ? 🤗😬🤪
We'll look into this 😃
I don't like that kinda tipping. Tipping should be based on service. You don't tip at McDonald's.
oh wow this is so sad to see. Tijauna Flats in Florida is WWWAAAYYYY better AND COOLER! This seems like a very watered down version of an awesome company. Looks like we need to come check this place out since we know the old school Tijauna Flats and can compare. Thanks for the review guyz!
I move over to the side and tell them to go ahead. We have a couple like that here in Michigan. Food looks good.
Appreciate the honest review Will & Dawn
Thank you so much
That place doesn't sound like a place I would like. We'll stick to No Way Jose's.
Tipping before you get your meal or coffee - no go
We love Tijuana Flats down in Florida - I don’t think I’d do a quesadilla there - but their flautas are great! I do the black bean ones and you ask them to grill them instead of fry them - so good! Try their tacos next time too
Thanks for your excellent and honest review. That really helped us decide if we would want to go there or not.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Dawn and Will. Food look really good

😊👍
That's my son's favorite place. We don't have one in Cincinnati so he goes to Indianapolis. Have a great day.
I don’t understand tipping at a quick serve.
I keep cash on me for tips and I do not tip , until after the service. Just because it's popular doesn't mean we have to go along with it..
I do that as well. Always cash, and they determine the amount based on the JOB THEY DID.
I will have to go try that place sometime.
Will and Dawn, really enjoyed your video! Your food looked good. Looks like a small restaurant. Looking forward to your next vlog. Love y'all!❤️
in California Chipotle is real good. we love it. and we are Mexican 🌯🌮.. lol
I'm not fond of that kind of tipping either, especially if the service is like a fast food restaurant 💕
We have one in our restaurant review playlist
Glad you liked the portions. We have a lot of these in Florida and also Chipotle. I consider them fast food Mexican for sure. We have too many authentic ones here to go to these chains. Thank you for the review
Good to know!
You order at the counter at Chick-fil-A and they bring you your food you don't tip them I don't eat Burger King McDonald's any of those places
we used to go to Tijuana Flats a lot in Florida, we enjoyed it but not sure if they have a different menu, it's been several years ago
Thanks Joy
I love some Mexican food , I have my fav place here ❤
They are all over Florida, I love the salsa bar.
I love Tijuana flats. The original one is in Daytona Beach. Get the tacos next time you will like it..
Thanks…-Dave from Cincinnati
Dawn you look very pretty in your burgundy sweater, percently I am not a fan of Mexican food no matter where it is. Be blessed love's.
Thanks so much
Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts sledgehammered that like button sharing out full watch
Thank you

I watched another youtuber do this same restaurant . There food looked better than yours. I think they were invited . Interesting.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the honest review will and dawn ❤❤❤
It would be nice if servers made enough money that they didn't depend upon tips everyone in their lifetime should have a job where the pay is based mostly on tips if only to understand how meaningful gratuity is Great job on the review guys
Wow. I've never heard of tipping before you eat etc!!!😮that's not right. Because people should tip based on the service.
We have Tijuana Flats in Florida. I like their Tacos
first time i went to 5 guys they tried to get me to tip, regardless i ordered a bunless burger and large fires for $21., i won't tip someone who works behind the counter only, tipping is getting to be too entitled for many of these places, i will stick to taco bell lol.
We have a bbq place near us that has a tip jar at the drive thru window....asking you to tip the cook. 🤨
Like #315
Love Gatlinburg area but their Mexican food in the area isn’t good lol. Go down to Texas or New Mexico. Yummmmmm
I don't tip when they ask for ANY fast food
Great video!

You shouldn't have to be relied upon to make up their pay to a living wage.
Have you eaten at Cielito Lindo in Pigeon Forge on the Parkway? It is our favorite Mexican restaurant good prices, good service and always good food.
Yes, I have videos in our library
Question for Will do you know why Chicken Guy closed in Gatlinburg it took so long to get done was open for year or two
It said it closed for remodeling on the door
We have a Tijuana Flats around here. I agree that it’s a good choice for quick service, but it isn’t what I would consider “vacation fare”.
We have a lot of them here on west palm beach fl there good
Tipping before dining? I don't think so. No go for me.
Thank you for being truthful I tip at 5he end of my meal ..I'm loving yalls Chanel keep up the great work yall are doing fantastic
Thanks so much
You all should do a top 5 favorite restaurants in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

I can't believe they are doing at a fast food place you have to give a tip 😊
I have asked to have the music turned down in several places and they usually do
The tip when you pay is getting quite common
Tijuana flats used to be good when they first came out but it's gone downhill. Honestly chipotle would be better any day for fast food

I only tipping if it good they are not going to tell me what to tip a person
Thanks for sharing 😊
Can’t wait to come back down to TN
Great review guys. I'm like y'all, I refuse to tip until after I've finished my meal. Will not do it.
A shrimp 🍤 burrito 🌯 sounds good 😊
🌮🌮
Tijuana Flats left me Flat
Nothing is wrong with tipping as long as the waiter is good if the waiter is rude and doesn't keep my drinks filled and service sucks I not tip and I will not recommend anyone to the restaurant
lol, anything is better than Taco Bell
Will and Dawn. Where would you say is your very favorite sit down mexican restaurant in Pigeon Forge?
Calinto lindo or No Way Hossa 🤔
Your food didn't look appealing to me. I really like Taco Bell 🔔
If they didn’t turn the music down, when I asked them, I’d of never bothered giving them a review. I don’t know if you did ask , I’m just saying… then the tip thing?!?! No, I’d of walked and never given them free advertising.
A RESTAURANT CAN EXTORT TIPS FROM ME ONLY ONCE......PERIOD. IT'S ONE AND DONE.
I love your videos. I know this has nothing to do with the restaurant review, but do you sell your pictures? Those photos you took last week of the barns and horse in the snow are so beautiful.
Will is a great photographer. I love his videos with nature pictures and slow motion videos of nature and landscapes.
I don't sell them. I have photos of postcards that I have taken and the great smokey mountains. Send me your address in an email, and I will send you some
I would love to see you guys review the baht this restaurant in Gatlinburg.
Sorry the food wad crappy. Mark that one of your list!
Absolutely not, definitely no tip
I'm not a fan of "Tex-Mex". I like old fashion refried beans, rice and Carne Asada tacos. I did like the way they serve the hot sauces.
I really like your honesty. Ya know, not all restaurants are great...
I appreciate that!
I'm not too crazy about Mexican food
I want eat at a restaurant that ask for a tip first.
Thank you for an honest review. Love the videos. God bless.
Thank you
Thanks for the honest review. The quesadillas looked so flat and skinny 😊
Problem w/tipping is we usually do 10-15% of the bill. But prices have gone up. So service is same but tips are higher. Even if service is good it is expected that you pay 10-15%.

Dawn, that color looks nice on you! Love the honesty! That would be a big NO on a tip before I ate my food! Hugs from Maumee!
🤗
I understand sit down 👎 place
