      And the same to you! I love the Digital Heritage channel and have subscribed and watched a LOT of the vids. Too bad I don't know German...I love the old technology and so the channel has been a real source of entertainment and education.

    Those spring clips are a real great idea!

      I had to find something to hold pressure bars up temporarily. I was going to use 4 more large wingnuts but that was just too tedious. The spring clamps were a quick and cheap solution. When designing something like this, there is always the challenge of making the small details work. I can get the large picture, lay it out full scale, but then it gets down to making each part work together, then it becomes more difficult. And most of the time it happens during the actual building of the prototype. Can't see everything without it!

    Can you make video tutorial how to make it?

      Thanks for watching! I'm not in the business of making how-to videos, but to sell them. Sorry! If one has the tools and the know-how and access to the materials to make this, there is enough in the video to copy it if you like. A customer found something like this on a college classroom video that was cobbled up with some misc. materials and sent it to me. It's where I got the idea.

      HI! This isn't a do- it-yourself project. It is part of a line of equipment I sell on the website (in the notes above). If one has the tools and know-how, then copying it would not be a problem. The design isn't mine and was built with ideas from several presses and a custom cobbled together one at a university. I made it more durable and pleasing to the eye.

    If the towels are not the same color does it matter ?

    • @AffordBindEquipment
      @AffordBindEquipment  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very insightful! I totally agree the towels need to be the same color...just did some research and it has something to do with infrared propagation absorption rates through the secondary ether bands refracting off the fibers, which may affect the drying process where some paper will dry faster than others and the texture will probably be affected. Will need more research to prove this theory but it seems plausible.
      Further, I would say these towels all need to be new, carefully ironed (which I failed to do) one time use only (handled with rubber gloves so no skin oils are absorbed) of the same thread count and fiber molecular structure ( cottonus softis would be best) and construction so they don't interfere with the flandolis absorbing process of the di-hydrogen monoxide. This could become a very expensive process, but the results are worth the expense and does not take away from the usefulness and efficiency of this apparatus. Plus the towels could be used for other things or donated to charity, doing one's part for the planet. This is a very important point I failed to make and will correct in any subsequent versions of this video.
      Thanks for pointing that out : >)
