Equipment has changed since 1985 we didn’t have to call a technician to work on our stuff, we did it ourselves.
Oklahoma wheat farmer here, that’s why I talk funny.
Thank you Sir for your video
You do realise that you are writing & we are reading? So in reality your accent or the way you talk has no bearing on any of us as we can't actually hear you. Stay safe & have a great harvest.
At new ~$1Million+ machined sure has a lot of levers and manual adjustments. I had to search out Mike's videos because TH-cam stopped showing them in my feed, now I see them once watching a bunch. It's still amazing how much food you guys produce even in a drought.
Have a blue tarp for each machine, and Bungee cords for securing it. 1:42
The big question is did you go to Princess auto and get a tarp for everybody so the flash rain event won’t happen again???
Where did that video go?
4:59 I have often wondered 🤔 about grounding static electricity ⚡️ I’ve never seen anyone point out the ground cable! Thank you Mike! You truly are a wonderful Teacher and Brother!! God be with you and all our Farmers!❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
A metal chain and drag it a foot on the ground, instant Static Drein .
You could buy open end ratcheting wrench and use it on that turnbuckle. It will be much faster that 13 years haha
Good luck combining your 2023 crops at your south farm Mike
A 1500% increase would be awesome if it were not such a low starting number. But it is better than a 1500% reduction. Have a safe harvest Mike!
Good luck Mike. Go Mike, go harvest 23 !.
Started on the 4th of August here. Hour south of your north farm. Lentils ran good, working on wheat. Happy harvesting.
Why wouldn't you put the header down on the ground to relieve pressure so you could turn the turnbuckles easily?
Stay safe this fall Mr. Mike and crews !
Thumbs up on this years lentil crop Mike 👍👍
the claas machines have taller bubble up augers then most of the other machines.. makes it more feasible to fill the bin
Would be great to see a claas lexion out on demo. Compare it to the JD.
Best of luck Mike
John Deere needs to use voice commands to set combine.
"Hey million dollar combine, set for lentils". And off you go😅
Knowing JD that would be a 100k option.
Really happy to hear about your semi awesome yield!
Go Mike, go harvest 23 !
all the best brother
Good luck Mike👍💪
Thank you good sir for the video 🙂
Got to looking good
Great video Mike
Enjoyed very much
They’re awesome in corn.
Grain tank full every 1 mile in corn here in the Midwest.
Are y’all shelling corn already?
And shouldn’t it fill at least twice or close to it in a mile long row?.
Yeah, we used to operate with small grain tanks too, once upon a time.
I live and work in the city but like to get out and try and see some harvesting action. Don't get to see alot or up close so thankful for your videos Mike.
Good Info mike
I’ve Been waiting for this video title🎉😂
Good harvest to you guys mike, here on south america we are starting combining white oats, with the wheat coming ready on two weeks.
For 5 extra feet I think I'd stick with the hydraflex.
$250,000 header alone n Mother Deere can’t put a $50 electric over hydraulic actuator on that turnbuckle??? 😂😂😂
Hoping for an awesome harvest and no burning combines/Mikes favorite hat!
Mike u can use auto maintain now with your cameras once u are happy with sample hit the auto maintain button it will keep your sample the same any time day or night cheers
Crazy to have a sensor holding you hostage to running. Kind of reminds me of computer work when companies off shore the computer support, now the off shored company holds your company hostage.
Good work Tractor 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜❤❤❤❤
I think you need a wind system on your headers
Mike time to till some of the ground to get some water retention in the fields? third year in a row with sub par harvest.
Get it deleated and tuned at TM AG Tuning
Yes sir
Hello Mike 🌾👨🌾👋👋🤝🇮🇹
Could you do a video in the grain cart this year? 😎
Have you considered an air system pro's con's your thought's cost and would you get it back on a good year 😊
John Deere took characteristics from CR New Holland in this X9
Rain there last night (Aug 21 today). 1/4” here south of weyburn. Came all night
I heard ~2” by pennant.
You should attach electric motors to those turn buckles.
What's better for your rotation and region? Wetter tending acres or Sandy fields? Gumbo or nicer areas? 5:06
Hey Mike.... bottom left of the screen, youll see " Set up " ..... saves all the button smashing.
hi Mike. Why do you need anti-static in Lentils? Fire protection more of a problem in Lentils? Another fascinating video.
HEY MIKE QUESTIONS:
how long did it take you this year to make back your seed???
did you ''get profitable'' this year???
you don't have to ''liquidate'' sum stuff (OTHER THAN STUFF YOU GREW FOR SALE) cuz you did not get profitable ENUF????
there were like 5 others but I hit enter here...
JOY LOVE COMPASSION
We had three five tens and a 750
But Mike, everything looks pretty shiny, for now. But Mike, you should be happy, you're going to double, your bushels.
Morning
The miss aligned hole in the Demco Hopper Extension is a manual backup sensor to inform you how full the hopper is in the event the electronic sensor quits working 🤣📏😂
Flag is looking good. 12:00
Half Canadian, half Dutch, Mark and his brother Rick are from the Netherlands. 😊😉
Good look from israel👍
❤❤❤❤
Well, at least you can't haul off an entire section's crop with just one SuperB! Those 1 bu/ac crops were rough watching much less being the farmer.
Sometimes it is better to do it the IBM way. “it’s better manually”.
Use macdon header you’ll pick up 5 bushels more
Mike i have a question; do u already see the benefit of these jd headers?
That's a long way from the 750
Mike, how many thousand dollars does the glass breaker costs in that combine?
Given that premium increases have a direct correlation with insurance claims isn’t there a strong probability that some operations will be priced out of the market?
On my old Massey combine I figured that it was impossible to set the sieves and the fan unless you could maintain a somewhat constant quantity of crop feeding through the machine in the thin spots of the field I would have to speed up the groundspeed to maintain the flow or the fan would blow grain out the back or if you reduced fan speed for the thin crop the sample would be dirty in the heavy spots of the field so I would have to slow down and adjust my speed by judging how much crop was coming on the head....the only in cab adjustment I had was cylinder speed and concave clearance.............my question is do these new machines automatically make these fan and sieve adjustments by what the sensors are seeing ????
Yes it looks at grain quality and makes adjustments automatically.
Magnifique moissonneuse batteuse x9 1000 et la coupe et bien équipés pour le plat 😂😮😊
English
So how does it hold? We all want to know. 😊
I'm sure John Deere probably sells like a buckle wrench/ratchet for at least $200 🤣
Or he could put the header on the ground to relieve the pressure and then turn it easily.....
@@johnsanders2798 I'd rather have it higher so I don't hurt my back more than what I have to
@@Rheamanoutdoors the turnbuckles hold the knife up as a stop. If he put the knife on the ground the tension would be completely off and it would spin freely. Or if he is like you, and he prefers to stand, he could adjust the turnbuckles when the header Is on the transport.... either way it makes more sense than what he is doing
@@johnsanders2798 preference over performance there
where in the long term Palliser triangle drought cycle are you?
Hey Mike off of the subject of farming. Really impress with the little league team from Regina Sacatuwan.8-21-23
Good Ole government fluid problems.
Does Def even help the environment after the production of the fluid, the production and manufacturing of the def systems, packaging, shipping, and extra fuel used? Can you even ask that question without being blacklisted by social media?
Love that one
No video of the convoy leaving out of the shop yard
Hey Mike are you going to agritechnica this year?
Mike, can u fold down your hopper with them hopper extensions on?
Yes
Wow. Unbelievable.
They cheapen the header with mechanical flex to increase profits and also put the price up to further increase profits. Remember 15billion for the year so far😅
Sometimes I think Mike is on crack!
Maybe all the time!
LOL
🤫
You say your letting down your ground cable “because your in lentils” two questions, what difference does lentils make that you need a ground cable versus cutting wheat or canola? And why would you need a ground cable in the first place I’ve never seen a ground cable on an ag machine.
It’s cause the head is dragging on the ground and creating a static charge. In Wheat the head is raised up and not touching.
might have still enough time for some garbonzo peas
Damn straight!
👋😊
Mike have you seen either of the new Case or JD high horse power quad's that don't require def?
The case doesn’t require def? What do you know about it?
@@KALI1080 Once an engine is above a certain HP, they are required to meet different emissions standards and don't have to use DEF. JD already does it with certain 9900 choppers. I believe Krone and Claas both have it as well in the demo pipeline.
Mike what are you favorite tractor😂
What's up with that static electricity thing for lentils?
It drags on the ground constantly hitting stones until sparks set the field on fire? Actually I think it helps prevent static from affecting the electronics. I've gotten a pretty good shock touching a combine a couple times.
mike, were you doing donuts in the combine before you started recording? wheels on full lock hahaha
Mark has a nice flag on his combine, Canadian/Dutch, I wonder if his brother Rick has the same flag. 😉
Greets from the Netherlands.
I had to consult google and make sure that wasn't a Russian flag. Lol
@@jasonm8376The modern Russian flag is actually derived from the Dutch one. I dont remember the exact details but it boils down to a Tsar wanting to modernize Russia and due to a tight relationship with the Republic took a lot of inspiration from our flag. We had a tri-colored flag before everyone started doing it.
@@jasonm8376
No, 2nd half of that flag is from the Netherlands, Red - White - Blue, 😊
When you rotate it 90 degrees it would be the French flag 😁
Groetjes van de nederlanden
Mike i have a question. What is that line under that Canadian flag on combines?
Mark who's driving the combine is Dutch, upper half Canadian flag , lower half flag of the Netherlands, [ Red - White - Blue ], his brother Rick(les) works also on the South farm. 😉
What happened with Deere? What Engineer thought to themselves, "let's eliminate 40 years of progress by going back to a mechanical flex header"?
Why do you take your shoes off every time you get in the combine?
Wait Mike......I have a question.....can you elaborate on the ground cable that you tossed out?
It is a ground cable to stop static electricity build up .
@interman7715 thanks....I understand that, but what is causing it? Is it only certain crops or conditions?
@@chuckroll1285 Hey mate it is to lower fire risk in the machine as static electricity can set off grain dust .
@@chuckroll1285lots of material moving through the combine creates static charge.
Hi Mike
I wish to work with you ❤
I bet you do!
Did he say he was in flex mode?
Thanks for the video. Couple of questions do you still take your britches off when you’re on the combine? Also will your wife let you go commando with your britches off on the combine? Lol!
Thanks for the video really do. And since of humor.
By the way commando means no Underwear. Not sure if Canadians get that or not but first I’ve heard of not wearing a britches in the field.
You Sir seem obsessed with Mike's naked nether regions which is a cause for concern to the entire human race.
splits are costly
Dose Mouther Deer sell anything for $25 ?.
Yes you can get a can of paint, a can of Starting fluid, or a tube of grease, any one of them by them self.
I bought some bolts, a quart of oil, and a spark plug for my old 4x2 Gator for under $25 each this past Saturday 😅
How can you make payments on a million-dollar combine with such a short crop?
Aug 12? Its 21 aug here
Million dollar combine and it can be held up by a sensor....man things are so complicated these days
I’d rather wind those turn buckles around , than dig the arse out on the ideal’s 10 times a day
I'm being chased around by drone
