You southern farmers are a diff breed,,, I come from north central IN, we pick corn in Oct/Nov... been watching for years, as well as many of the other popular YT farm cannels.. My mother was born in Athens AL... Have about 9mil relatives in AL,, LOL Seriously it is a huge fam... YT has really brought me into the real diversity of farming... Hope you have an awesome 2023 harvest!!! I know he wont, but your dad needs to slow down,,, hahahaha!!!
It good to see ur son reading a book and helping u instead having his head in a cell phone u doing a great job wt that. I tell my grandkids u can make thru the day without a cell phone
You were one of them farmers over in that good Alabama river bottom land, we had a 500 head cattle farm over west of livingston. Seeing those Alabama acres brings many memories mostly hard work. One of the best of my father was his hard work sports, were never his thing except for the little league World Series . He wood come in and watch several games each summer. The only sports I ever saw him watch, he coached our teams many summers.
Dad of the year award goes to....Daniel Rhyne!!!! Playing catch in the middle of a 🌽 cornfield. Teaching him to drive the combine. Teaching him how to start up the grain dryer. This world needs more fathers like this. We're waiting to start combining corn 🌽 here in East Central Georgia. A big gully washer yesterday has our plans on hold for the moment. We like to start somewhere between 18-21%. Spraying on cotton and 🥜 continues. We're hoping for corn yields in the 250 range (fingers crossed). The corn that we cut for silage did exceptionally well.
Excellent video Daniel! A wonderful way to raise Little T. I remember when my Grandfather bought his first combine....John Deere 45. I was on the platform with him watching the corn go in that 2 row head, I was amazed! When I looked in the grain tank and saw that clean corn filling the bin, I was hooked for life. I'm still growing Corn and combining today.
cornstalk is a keeper. I think he is a really good catch and thrower. Not so much at pitching cans. Hey cornstalk don't let your dad spoof you, he misses you riding in the cab with him.
Interesting header, the john deere one the farmer I worked for had would just pull the ears off the stalk, it would leave the rest of the plant standing or leaned over
That boy favors his granddaddy to me. Does my heart good being taught by patient God fearing MEN. He's learning way more than he knows right now. Thanks for sharing. I'm still tending mamma in this alzheimers prison. You help me escape for a few minutes. I'm sure many others are house bound and interested in you're craft. Be safe!
@stevepeppers560 Sorry you are going through that with your mom. I lost my mom to Alzheimer’s a few years ago. It’s a horrible disease and horrible on the caregiver also. Be strong.
Have you ever considered a different planter for soy beans and corn? A closer row spacing would achieve a sooner canopy which would help with some of the late season weed problems you seem to have. Also why do you rush starting corn harvest? Getting the moisture below 20% would surely help the concave plugging and save a bundle on drying costs.
Lil T has got energy like no other. Sure enjoy him on the videos. That was a nice moment seeing him play catch. Daniel you have an amazing son to be very proud of. Thomas drove the combine like a champ. Enjoyed it today and happy everything is working great. Send some rain to central Texas it is very bad. Going out and fire the cab tractor up to feed cattle
Hello Corn Stalk! Looks like you have a life time handle! Learn all you can in school. You will need it to help Dad & Grandad run the farm. Remember, it's not always about the labor. There is plenty of that. But someone has to deal with the hard stuff like taxes, political decisions the government causes, finance, can we afford that? & "What do I do now"? Corn Stalk! I like it!
Seems like it takes forever to get the heads all dialed back in. The fact that you're having to change them all though indicates this is a very good year for corn. I'll miss Thomas in the cab with you also. take care God bless
We hit 240bu with a 9500 corn special and a 893 head and the combine made crazy noises...190bu tank full every 2 minutes...wore out the unload auger pretty quick...
Thanks for the video Daniel well done with the 🌽🌽🌽 harvest ❤❤❤. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed. Hi Granny have a Blessed day ❤️.
Corn looks better than last year huh? T had was wearing a cool AU Baseball shirt! Hi Granny, It's Friday and I hope you are meeting your 'besties' for lunch. Have a great weekend Daniel and Crew.
What is all of that green stuff in the fields? Drought conditions are worsening across the area as Austin’s (TX) longest heatwave on record shows little signs of abating. Thursday was Austin’s 50th 100-degree day of the year so far
You have told Thomas that catcher is the hardest position in baseball to play please. My grandson is a 10U-11U pitcher/catcher and the fact that his passed ball rate is way low means runs saved at that level. Keep throwing him stuff he has to dig and chase. His coaches will thank you.
Phillip gave Little T a perfect nickname, "Cornstalk". That is a keeper. Good to see the youth training in father's footsteps.
I second this. Fits him to a t
@@leviwulffHope you have a good run from here until the end of the season. “Eye in the Sky” from down south…
@@fritzwulff2475 I've never met anyone with the same last name spelled like mine
Happy to see you lock that header. Had a good friend who didn't take that 30 seconds and header fell. He was 28 years old.

Good to see Thomas driving also like the black hat looks so much better & great drone footage !
I just came thru Nebraska and Kansas on the motorcycle, and the corn crops are a pitiful site. Glad your crops are looking good.

I was that age running equipment, only thing is I had to steer everything… I learned an awful lot on the dairy farm. Thx for the video !!

Selling corn straight out of the field?
Looks like good corn.
Great looking crop! Just curious; do you have a feel how close this will be to your best year for corn?
Where does your corn go or get used for?
Howdy triple R farms
Daniel don't feel bad I'm color blind too. I have a hard time with brown green , blue purple, I see red just fine.
Pretty work
THANKS!
Daniel, how is Lucy doing these days?
Why not let the corn dry out so you don’t have that problem with it clogging up ?
So does that mean little cornstalk on payroll
You do better when pop's around
Do like the T-shirt..he seems tike he is a go
Does triple r sell corn by the ton if so how much
@@bpcanterbury8129 , I eould think they sell by bushel, like everyone else.
I tried to imagine being color blind. Terrible to think about but if you’ve been that way since birth you don’t really know any different.
