Bert shares an entertaining story about the last time he was in Jakarta and gave some very strong weed to Tim Commerford of Prophets of Rage. After 12 years off of booze, Bert share what led to the change, how weed has helped and the ongoing journey he is on dealing with physical depression. As a person who like many of us here struggles with depression anxiety, stress, etc.. I love this episode. I also love The Used and Avenged Sevenfold, their music has helped me ALOT over time. Saved me even, and seeing the adventure these guys have all gone on over the years always inspires me, this is inspiring me to move away from alcohol fully. I haven't had near as bad of a problem as others or most people, I'm doing okay now and even doing better than I was around this time last year when I got bad about drinking a little. I would like to be able to enjoy drinks with friends, but if it gets to the point where I have to try hard to be careful? I'm going to move away from it forever. This podcast is amazing, and this episode is the first one I'm really watching. I love this and this is my hyper fixation at the moment. The music these too bands create has saved, entertained, and screamed for me when I couldn't, enough, or couldn't at all. Even if it was just one lyric or the entire song, I love all of the content and love they put into it.

I found this podcast tonight sitting here drinking and I have needed to quit for years now and never had help and still need it and just listening to this hit me hard showed me there is other ways to kick this bullshit thank u dudes for this much love ❤️
There’s an app called „I am sober“ that helps a lot of people out, just tracking their progress. I bet there’s an AA group near you, might be scary at first but that’s helped a lot of folks out as well. It’s scary to quit but it gets a little easier every day and before you know it a week has passed, then a month, a year.. and always remember you‘re allergic to strawberries. You got this!

I remember seeing the music video for "Box Full of Sharp Objects" on MTV or MTV2 and it being the first "screamo" song I had ever heard. That whole album was fantastic.

Honestly wish Bert was a little more conservative with drug use. Matthew Perry was a heavy drinker too and he passed away because he used K that wasn't prescribed to him. I just worry, these days are different than the old days when Bert was young. Today eveeything is cut with Fent. Its so easy to pass away from something that you would never expect. Bert has alot to lose. I hope he thinks about these things a little harder these days.
I used to want to live in Australia and work at the Zoo for Steve and his family, but found out that they don't allow autistic people to move there or they deport you. And yes we have malls in Michigan, nice ones!

Your last show in Jakarta (2015) is not got canceled. 😅 your canceled show is on 2012 when your visit Jakarta for 3rd time. Your first show was in 2007, second show in 2008. And 2012 got canceled.
