@@JPSuperMario it’s a _big_ board, man. If you have large feet it would be doable but if you’re just starting out it may be a lot to manage. I’d recommend a smaller setup to learn on but having something like this to cruise around on could be beneficial too
The Abstract staff is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Tactics is obviously serious about skateboarding. The way they break down the measurements of every component that they sell makes it just as easy to shop there as a physical store. You have aligned yourself with some great folks.

I did a video last year testing out an egg for the first time but I didn’t really like it. Later on I figured out it was because the length of the board was too short for me and the AF1’s I had on it shrunk the already small WB making a lot of tricks harder. Been riding generator eggs pretty consistently for a while now though

Solo filming is tough, the mic thing happened to me too... you dealt with it well. I tried that exact board and it converted me! I chickened out and got the 9.25 golden egg rather than the 10 but I love it!
We used to do FS 5-0 grinds without an Ollie by doing a nose wheelie, popping the back truck on and then leaning way back so the front truck pops up and doesn’t touch. I haven’t thought of that in years. Think I’ll have to try that next curb sesh.

@@jwardbartolome I did, until I figured out that if I cover the inside heel area with some moleskin patches for a few days while they break in I can get past the blisters they would cause me. Definitely do not skate them out of the box, they _need_ at least a week or two of just everyday use. After that they become one of the best skate shoes. Just takes some prep work unfortunately. I still think the adidas slips are better but you have to add aftermarket insoles on those so its a give and take for each shoe

@@dadboard yup, every set I have has them as well, but the end/tip faces in. This guy installs them backwards on purpose and they are the same direction as yours (th-cam.com/video/mG9KjoDTEH4/w-d-xo.html) Not a bideal or maybe they changed them, but when you take them off take a peep.
Also, got the 9.75 Bail gun symmetrical egg, and it's the best board I ever skated, finally learned slappy crooks and board slide-feeble, and bs hurricane on this board.
The stickers got me!!…. I’m also all for supporting local skate shops. But the sad truth is not every town has a skate shop. And some of us have no choice but to buy online. I know the closest actual skate shop to me is over an hour away, so I buy all of my stuff online.
Luckily more shops are opening up online storefronts but I feel you, man. I’m lucky to have a shop close by but there were times when it was slim pickings
