Picked these up today after seeing a good deal I couldn't pass on. Only my fourth pair of J1s, and I dunno how it is for others... but there's something genuinely pleasurable about lacing up a fresh pair out of the box, like a little ritual of sorts reserved for just this model. Maybe because of the history, or because I don't do this for any other shoe. LOL.
These are hella clean, these beat the other colored toe colorways imo. I think it’s because of the back is different from the others. It’s a mix between the CDP 1s and the royals too.

I think the UNC to Chi's set the bar pretty damn high this year cuz I love the feel of the leather on those🔥 I'm still copping these Royal Toes though cuz they fire.

im a no-show socks guy as well. What was Chris (aka nightwing) saying about the different cut of jordans for no show sock ppl? Cuz sometimes random high top Jordans scratch up my achilles but other jordan high tops dont.
I just got the shoe fresh from the 🔥🔥🔥 . Here's a tips use light blue laces from aj1 fearless, put it to the royal toe. It's rly rly dope rather than black/dark blue laces.
I hate it when people complain that they can’t get limited sneakers when they wear size 9/10/11/12. People who wear size 13/14/15/16 etc can’t even get the majority of GR shoes that are decent because they don’t even make large sizes. If you want to pay resale for a pair then you’ll have to spend upwards of 700 dollars for a shoes which sells for 300 in a size 9. I feel like brands should recognise this more, seen as a majority of basketball players have huge feet. Don’t take shit for granted, you’re lucky.
We simply just don’t like it when anyone can’t get a pair that they’re really looking forward to. We won’t go out of our way to hate them for it just because of their shoe size though. That lack of morality and empathy is a great shame. Especially when it’s just over some shoes. Take your own advice and appreciate what you do have. We know Chris does.
I wish they did it the same as the Bred toes, but the problem is that it would then look exactly like the Fragments, which are are already “Broyal Toes” Good luck copping those 💸💸💸

I don’t have the Chicago either... I have the Bred, Royal, Shadow, and Kentucky so I have the other ones I wanted. But the Chicago is my favorite easily.
These are nice, but a pass for me right now. Like Chris said, I'm up for every color variation of the Chicago-style, StormBlue/UNC-style, Bred/Shadow/Royal-style, and Black-toe-style colorblocking, but any variation on that just seems a little off to me and isn't an immediate cop.

I’m down with the Briol logo! I’m just not a fan of being on the ground. I have sensitive feet, but that’s just me. If I had to choose, I’d say the all Briol with no white. The color way just goes with everything in the closet.

I grew up in era where we wore no shoe socks too, but now i all i wear is white or black nike tube socks. And it has to be nike. Like i have a pair yeezys idgaf i still wear nike socks. But with all my jays and nikes. I wear nike tube socks. I can have it any other way anymore.

One cool tid bit Chris is that a new color way of the Air Jordan 1 HI OG (not the 85 cut) coming out in July is coming out with the original nylon tongue. It’s the air Jordan 1 with the red heel tab and the grey suede hits. So maybe they are bringing the nylon tongue back to the HI OG’s.

I love the shoes, but just little pet peeve of mine. 1 is the bright white jordan wing logo, the other is the leather nike tab on the tongue. I don't mind the gym reds look on these. I’m not liking the leather tag on the tongue - just go with the nylon again, Nike! Shouldn’t have to go with an ‘85 cut to get something we’ve gotten on J1s for decades Also, maybe it’s just mental, but it annoys my leg... I tend to wear the mid-height of a certain brand of socks (thanks for referring me to the brand, nightwing) and the tag is more noticeable than the nylon
To this day I still think they are clean and a very good shoe, but in my opinion they should have done the bred toe color blocking instead of this one, but hey hopefully in the future they release them again in the future with the bred toe color blocking

These are fire , blue Js I love but 1s are my favorite of the old school. In my opinion the lows looked better color block looks fresh but these highs are dope too love the blue toe with the white mid panal

ive been sizing up and putting an extra insole in ever since ive copped a the racer blues and nyc to paris with the enhanced cushioning. i dont think i can ever go back. Which is cool cuz i can go from 9.5 to a 10.5 comfortably now. Id maybe consider this if you guys could when trying to get a hype pair..
