@@thetruth9210 Never heard of ,them but I'll do a search to try to find them & have a listen. Thanks
My relatives showed me this video and I can say it’s AMAZING 😂
Leader of the pedo gang.
Im sure i saw him on Top Of The Pops back then doing one of his songs and he was sitting on a chopper motorcycle at the beginning .
The opening is perfect with the hand claps and all, it's a great song
Nonce.
Cracking song...vile man.
@@patricklonergan3 how is that a comment on the song?
Not really, it's shite
So sad the man wasn’t the same as the song itself.
It’s true what they say. Once you get Glitter on you, it’s impossible to get it off.
I was 10 when this was on TV and i loved it, as all my mates did. Don`t blame us, we were just there for the ride. School was good and no social media. But music from the 70`s and 80`s were fantastic, when i was 16 (1979) me and my mate Ben went to a Disco and that was awesome i remember that song "starship strooper" and then i got drunk on vodka, my dad picked us up, Roy was ok, when i got home i ran straight to the toilet and throw up! Great times, but more to come, the late 80`s and 90`s were even better, i found "bi" friends and Weed!! that lasted until 1995 when i moved in to my flat....so its 2019, my mortgage is finished and i have nieces and nephews yet im single, plus im a nice guy...oh well, life goes on.
I was born in '78 and loved listening to this on my dad's readers digest compilation in the 80s when I was allowed to play his records.
It'd a shame that Gary Glitter turned out to be a nonce but it seems that the beeb just didn't care back then (maybe not even nowadays, didn't Ester Racid and the rest of the beeb know about Jimmy?)
GL with your singledom! Not bad thing, this world is made for sharks not us gentlefolk.
@@wendywonka2925 jimmy Saville is the reason childline was set up ester rantzen set it up to monitor him
@@thethirteenthdoctor1716 I've heard people say the same kinda thing about childline, not so much monitoring Jimmy, but making sure that victims of elite peados were found when they started to talk.
and on
I was 7 years old had the bag from the market and a mini dress with a front zip. Used to do a great impression in the Junior school playground. At Liverpool University he was our Student Union Christmas Concert act and he came onto stage on a motorbike wearing much the same outfit as in this original video. He was hyped and so were we. The best concerts of my life. Adam Lambert may be an international millionaire superstar but the big Daddy and creator of glam rock pop was Gary Glitter. Come on Come On !!!
The Joker movie (2019) has once again given rebirth to his haunting stacatto number Rock 'N Roll Part II
trouble is most foreign countries don't know was talking to some friends in us and can they have no idea
He's the man that put the Bang in gang.........
He was absolutely grotesque really. How on earth did this become a superstar?
The seventies - a different planet...
The song itself is great, but Gary looks like a shitty version of Ziggy Stardust with deeply disturbing looks.
@anonnyanonymous4800 it really isn't. People complain about today's music being garbage when all this does is repeat the same thing over and over again. Sounds like cheap trash.
Imagine if you invested your life savings in Jimmy Saville memorabilia ,Rolf Harris paintings and the Gary Glitter back catalogue......
infrasleep you're not in the Gang? You're missing out.
@Mrs. Edna Welthorpe so did R.Kelly
is that not why jacko pretended to die as it bankrupted him buying them all
I'd say youd be born with the worst luck imaginable 😂😂
Gary Glitter's back catalogue & memorabilia sells really well!
It was fun in 1973, shame people change for the worse...
Looking back , he was a chunky thing
" do you want to get in my van, my van?"
+macturbo789 lmaoooo
As he's parked outside a school yard hanging a bag of lollies out the window..
YorkshireMack ha ha
My brother drove a car
RESPECT TO YOU, BAZ, AND YOUR BROTHER GAZ...
I've seen this clip several times and the bit where he accidentaly knocks over the mic stand always makes me laugh for some reason.
Saw him in Bournemouth in 1972, fantastic gig and atmosphere. lol @ the comments.
Has anyone heard his take on the Brenda Lee classic noncing around the Christmas tree?
You've all got your sins. Only YOU know what you've done in private. You're ALL be found out. So many of you afraid to say you loved the music. Well I'm NOT !
I loved him as a kid! Genuinely couldn’t believe he would’ve felt the same towards me back then!
what a lyrical genius
😂😂😂😂
Can't find the version with Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris on backing vocals...
+knotsandcrosses1 I know but fear not coming to a bargain bucket at your nearest petrol station.. Gary Glitters version off Little Girls..."I'd buy that for a dollar" nom nom
Rolf Harris was too busy singing his hit song "Two Little Boys". ("..with two little toys". ffs)
Jimmy and Rolf were busy, spit-roastin' your little sister in the dressing room.
knotsandcrosses1 😂😂😂
Or the Lost prophets cover version.
I loved him when I was 8. He would have loved me too.
Was a big fan in the early 70s as a teen. What happened later in his private life has to be separated from his music.
Leader of the gang with Jimmy Saville. Their club house being the BBC
Add Mick Jackson to that little pack
I'd say Jimmy Saville was far and away the leader of the gang though Glitter was a prominent member of it.
fame fortune .respect ,gave the pervs a ticket to ride .....they got away with it for years justice will prevail much is the pity jimmy saville died before he was found guilty ..scum bags
@@daveduck4315 id say Michael Jackson is innocent
Sad but true. With shareholder's worldwide. Pity the children.
REMEMBER ME THIS WAY.
The Live album of the same Title is Amazing.
This didn't quite touch me but it did with others
OK. He did wrong. But the music is still superb and nothing can change that.
Welcome back Gary. You did the crime, you did the time. Welcome back.
Paul McCartney played at Glastonbury last year. Would you consider it?
The music will never die.
Yeah…it should……you sell your children for a fucking song…..shame on you….your a drek of a human being.
He should.
@@janebridle1657 absolutely right!
Bloody fantastic 🎶 thank you Gary Glitter 👏 👍
paedo
Thank you?!
@@JM-ll2vv I only like the music that’s it
GREAT FOOTBALL ANTHEM, NOW NOT HEARD, SO SAD.
Brilliant showman...
"Do you wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang?" Er no thanks Gary, I'm good mate.
No worries, they got puddin' pops and free $5 Footlongs. :)
Gary Glitter my Childhood Rockstar :)
I can separate people from their deeds from their music and Gary Glitter was fooking awesome
You wouldn't be saying that if it was your daughter he molested.
The members of his gang was Jimmy Saville,Philip schofield and jeffery epstein
Kevin Spacey, Bill Cosby, Dan Schneider, John K., Jeffrey Jones, R. Kelly, Victor Salva and of course everyone's favorite, Subway Jared.
I’m in his gang for life. And I’m 61!
Putting aside his personaĺ afflictions he was a fzntadtic performer and showman
he was good at what he did////singer songwriter with Mike Leander....like him for his talent...
Just a classic sing a long, happy memories of childhood xx
GG and the Glitter Band were mega back in the early '70's. All the snide comments won't change that. Just think Michael Jackson, and several others who fell by the wayside.
Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13yo cousin yet is still regarded as a rock n roll legend.
do i like him as a person no but i like his music and his stage performance
Mark Mendoza your easy pleased wtf
That's horrible to say and hear
It's lucky that Caravaggio wasn't living today, or he would have been "cancelled" and we would never have got to see his magnificent paintings.
"Hi Gary I'm Chris Hansen, take a seat!"
