AHA i’m still active, just haven’t gotten to posting on youtube in while! if you have a lighter skin tone, you’ll probably be fine! i mostly use the character base because it helps the paint look smooth on darker skin tones!
i think it depends on your skin tone! if you have a lighter skin tone, you may not need to use a base at all - i need to use one because the mehron is too transparent against my skin to be totally smooth. no matter your skin tone, i think a white base might work if you don't mind your gray being a little lighter.
