Bryant Denny is a beautiful stadium ain't nothing like it ROLL TIDE 🐘
Alabama also put the first man on the moon. So you're welcome lol
Well, we got the rocket off the ground anyway. There really was no American or Russian space program though, just two German space programs created from left over WWII German rocket scientists.
Saturn V Rocket made in Huntsville Alabama! Roll Tide
Yep. Right in Huntsville most of the tech was and still is. Everyone had a family member that worked for NASA or contractors when I was a kid. They would test rocket engines and it would shake our house about 25 miles away. Very cool.
@@user-ij6mf2hp3r oh yeah, I live about 5 miles west of Redstone. We hear it all, all the time lol
I've been there.
Watch Stallings win in 1992.
The ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE are the STANDARD OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL.. ROLL DAMN TIDE 🐘💯🐘💯💪
That's you tail I sit on mine
Facts
Great video.
There is even a Hollywood movie called Crimson Tide. No other college football program has that honor!
Very nice video, thank you for making it. I've often wondered about the history of stadiums around the country. One small correction, Coach Bryant played end on both offense and defense. In his day, all the players stayed on the field unless they were injured and couldn't continue. He would have played the role of tight end on offense mostly blocking but he did get a chance to go out for a pass ever so often.
In my lifetime I have watched them win 13 Natys, and two dynasties, Bear Bryant and St Nick!
ALABAMA, where legends are made.😊
Appreciate the view from the good ol Shoals! With O'Neil bridge and the historic Old Railroad bridge across the Tennessee river. But you right! Football is king in this state!
History lesson for ya. Florence hosted the Division II national championship game for 28 seasons. 1986-2014. UNA became the very first NCAA scholarship football universities to win 3 national titles in a row ('93, '94, '95) also the only school from D2 to ever get invited to the White House ('93 Bill Clinton) they had one loss in 3 seasons, only losing to eventual D I-AA champs(FCS today) Youngstown St in 1992. Now UNA is an FCS program, and had the second highest winning percentage only behind Alabama. From the state of Alabama. Harlon Hill, a native of this area is the D II name for their Heisman Trophy. #RollTide #RoarLions
UNA won the championships in 93,94 and 95
@@billycagle2564 Yeah I was thinking about the years I went to the games and instead of making reference to that, I failed to do so lol. Thanks for pointing that out though. My brother had attended the 1989 game, which had Miss Coll beating Jacksonville St 3-0 on a cold Saturday with about an inch of snow on the ground. But I wanted to go to that game really bad, but didn't get to. So I did go from 1990 - 1995. Then went back in 1999 - 2005
'90 - NDSU beat IUP
'91 - Pitt St (KS) beat JSU
'92 - JSU beat Pitt St
'93 - UNA beat IUP
'94 - UNA beat TAMK
'95 - UNA beat Pitt St
'99 - NWMS beat CarNew
'00 - DSU beat Blmsbg (Pa)
'01 - NDak beat GVSU
'02 - GVSU beat ValSt
'03 - GVSU beat NDakota
'04 - ValSt beat Pitt St
'05 - GVSU beat NWMS
The 2 greatest D2 title games imo were the '93 and '99 title games. UNA's first title over Indiana University (Pa). They had to insert end zone bleachers because the crowd was around 15,000. And Braly Stadium at the time only held like 10,000 at the most. Those 3 years in a row is still the 3 largest crowds that stadium has ever had. The 1999 game between Northwest Missouri St and Carson Newman had commentary from Bill Curry, which was a 4OT thriller that had a couple of plays that made sportcenters top 10. Also the 1995 game when UNA beat Pitt St 27-7. That game was called by ESPN Legends Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried. I remember David Pollack calling one of the games that I didn't attend I don't think, also Trevor Mattich, Rod Gilmore, and a few others called some games. Even the great Holly Rowe walked the sidelines once as a sideline reporter. That game meant alot to this area, the University of North Alabama, and it was great for us kids that went to school here. Which I was just entering Coffee High School in 1994. I used to tell Steve Modis (Owner of the Big Deli outside the north end of the stadium) That UNA wouldn't remain a D2 school. I didn't think it would actually happen. Now it's looking like they and a few others are doing everything they can to get FBS status. And I believe they will! At least I hope so. I think they will be the last school in the state to do so. It is the oldest public university in the state, and I believe is just behind Alabama and Auburn in all time winning percentage. I could be wrong though. The state of Alabama would then have Alabama, Auburn, UAB, Troy, USA, UNA, and Jax St all as FBS teams. Though I do think Alabama and Auburn will become something different when the B1G/SEC/ACC/BigXVIII all become a totally different league. Then I believe the FBS/FCS will have their own playoff. That's just my opinion, but it seems like the best route for it to go imo. What you think?
Roll tide
Alabama= First Alphabetically
Alabama= Worlds Fastest Speedway
Alabama= World Famous Space and Rocket Center
Alabama = Muscle Shoals, Recording Capitol of the WORLD
Alabama = World Class Beaches
Alabama = Winningest College Football Dynasty in History
Do your research before saying Alabama isn't much. Thank you.
I remember those days. I lived in Decatur and I attended several UNA games. Bobby Wallace was a great recruiter and I remember there were guys who turned down Alabama and Auburn and Tennessee to play for UNA. They were very good!!!
Coach Bryant played receiver, opposite from 1st team all-nfl hall of famer Don Hutson.
Roll Tide! We have the best team and the best marching band
We know all the lynyrd skynyrd songs In Bama ROLL TIDE ROLL
He died a month after he retired. Yes it was the next year.
It's William G. Little not Littles!
Hang on…… “The only Lynyrd Skynard song you’ve ever heard in your life”?!?!?! Are you actually trying to imply that THE Lynyrd Skynard was a one hit wonder?! 😂😂😂😂
No I think he means out side of the south many have no idea of their other songs but nationwide they know that one. Southerners know skynard, many have heard their songs but have no clue who is playing them.
18-18 against 11-win, P5 teams, Saban was.
Was 2-7 against 11-win, P5 teams at Bryant Denny
Never beat an 11-win, P5 team in an opponent's stadium, 0-3.
2-10 is great?
Competition Matters!
Yet 7 titles 1 at lsu and 6 in short time at bama and is considered the goat by most. I can cherry pick any coaches record but ypu cannot name one college coach besides saban with 7 titles. Or any college with more titles.
Y haven't they won any recently championship 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lol 3 yrs ago won title has your team ever won one?
