I bought this kit to work on my Savage over the winter. A really easy install. I would suggest installing the seat pan before putting the rear wheel back on. It allows more room to work and wiggle parts around to get the holes lined up. And defiantly cut the passenger supports just above the welds, if you don't the seat pan lower bolts will not line up. And if you're doing this in the winter like I am take all your wiring inside to do for the rear light kits.
I'm getting my Savage tomorrow. This video gets me stoked to start working on it. This bike is perfect to transform into a bobber. Can't wait. Well done on the kit. I'll be ordering one for sure. I hope shipping to Hawaii isn't too expensive.
I got my drag pipe yesterday and had it on the bike in no time. Awesome kit, comes with everything, easy to install, shipping was super fast too. I absolutely love the new sound of my bike. Problem is, the backfire/afterfire after killing the engine is so freakin loud now (probably louder than my 30-06) that I don't even want to start the bike. I suggest getting this remedied before installing an aftermarket pipe. I can't ride till Tuesday when Im having the shop hopefully fix mine for $100.
Hi, Yes the bars are the 32". They are very comfortable and a great replacement for the old stock original buck horn bars. Thanks so much, Lance from BCB
Thanks so much! The savage is super cool little bobber and a real fun bike to run around on. We ship to Hawaii all the time and it is cheap and fast. Thanks, Lance
It's probably my width that makes the bike look small. I'm with you on the fun factor. The savage is the only large displacement bike with the incredibly light weight. They are a blast to ride and even easier to get out of the Garage. Thanks again, Lance
You are correct, the Savage is a small bike. If I was a smaller person I would have several of these little gems. They are a blast to ride!! Lance at blue collar bobbers
@BlueCollarBobbers Today I managed to yank out the brass plug on the carb hiding the fuel/air mix screw. A turn and a half out to richen it up and my backfire is down to a minimal poof. And I saved myself $100. Easy fix. So, with that done, I have to say I am extremely pleased with the drag pipe and Blue Collar Bobbers. I'm thinking about buying a vulcan 900 to put your complete bobber kit on. Great doing business with you, thanks.
Ours does the same thing except not as loud. We actually like the final pop. All the bikes backfire some with new pipes and the s40 savage's are the worse. It's part of there nature. You may try giving the bike a little extra throttle just as you shut it off. Thanks so much, Lance at blue collar bobbers
Hi If you look on our website you can get all the prices and pick and choose which items you would like. The Savage (s40) is a great little bobber!! Thanks so much, Lance at blue collar bobbers
Hi sorry, but the Savage (s40) kits are our most costly to build. It requires more machined parts and it's a little more complicated for us also. Thanks so much , Lance from BCB
I'm really digging this. I love the bobber look and especially for this bike. Have you guys done any photoshoots with these kits? I'm going to order one and send you some photos. You sell these pieces a la carte, do you have a package deal for everything all together?
Hi, The bike is comfortable but small. I'm 6' 2" and the bike looks small under my big body. You may want to go with a v-twin. Thay have longer frames. Thanks so much, Lance at blue collar bobbers
Thanks for the nice words. Except for one person, we have never been told our prices are high. In fact most people can't believe we can sell for so little. You can always build stuff cheap, but what is the end result?? Thanks again to everyone, Blue collar bobbers
+Lukas Somogyi We do ship worldwide! Shipping to Europe can range from $50 to $150, depending what is purchased. Please email us for further details at bluecollarbobbers@gmail.com
I see you took the belt guard off. I want to do the same but I wondering if theres any security questions. Arent your pants going to get caught in the belt? Isnt it a lil dangerous?
Is there any way to find white walls tires for this bike, I found the Dunlop D404 but I don't think it will fit the back tire, I want to go for a Suzuki SL650 baby metallic blue , white wall tires + the BlueCollarBobbers kit.
they are cool looking bikes but if you are taller than 5'7" you will look so silly on one. This bike sounds better than any other savage that I've ever heard.
Just got a big raise and I own an 07' and I can't wait to purchase your kit! Its perfect, to the point, and reasonably priced!

It sucks because no one makes whitewalls for the back tire. Avon and Shinko make a 19" for the front. Thanks so much, Lance at BCB

His name is Max. He's my best friend and he is getting old. Why are their lives so short!! Thanks, Lance
Lots of guys paint or powder coat the guard. The bikes look sharp that way and then there are no worries. Thanks so much, Lance at BCB
Thanks !!!
Glad you like the bike
Thanks for the nice words. You will love the sound of youe savage with it's new pipe. Lance at blue collar bobbers
we are working on the Spirit and hope to have the kits ready in a month or two. Thanks, Lance at blue collar bobbers
Within the next month. Hope to hear from you soon.
it would be sick if someone made a kickstart conversion
We are hoping to have everything on the website in about 10 days.
That would be awesome! Then the bike would look even more like something from the good old days! Thanks, Lance at BCB

This is so freak'n sweet! Once I land my hands on a savage/rebel I'm looking to bob it! Just found your site, and now your youtube page! Subbed!
Excellent looking bike ... hard to believe this is an S40 :)
I love you guys, great looking bikes.

Just purchased a Suzuki GS650 for 100$ running with title... I would love to use your kit on it...

It looks awesome. Can you give me a heads up on how comfortable it is for a guy who's 6'3 and about 180lbs?
I'm really digging this. I love the bobber look and especially for this bike. Have you guys done any photoshoots with these kits? I'm going to order one and send you some photos. You sell these pieces a la carte, do you have a package deal for everything all together?

I can't wait for this kit to come out so that I can convert my savage. any idea on what this kit is gonna run?
we just bought a suzuki savage that is semi converted to a bobber but needs a replacement back fender and a seat ,, the seat is torn
@BlueCollarBobbers you guy have to do a honda shadow spirit kit. They are cheap and alot of people have them. You could sell alot of kits.
really cool and cheap kits!... do you ship your kits worldwide? how much would shipment to Europe cost?

Hi, The Savage is a tad small for us big guys. Unless you are very short, I would go a bigger bike. Thanks so much, Lance at BCB
very nice!
I see you took the belt guard off. I want to do the same but I wondering if theres any security questions. Arent your pants going to get caught in the belt? Isnt it a lil dangerous?
@mwig50
We didn't move our shock's forward !!
I wouldn't recommend it
I want to buy the fender kit but I also need the whole rear lighting kit. Is there a way to get a better deal?
@kodikumpel Is that good or bad?
Lance, Did you have to re-jet the carb after installing those pipes? Thanks.

Is that the small seat or the large seat?

@savige1000

I am 250 pounds. Could this do for me?
To build this bike, what is cost of the kit? Thanks!
Ps- sharp!

BlueCollarBobbers
In the video, is that the small seat or the large seat?
That's actually one of the old La Rosa seats we used to sell before we started making our own. We want to provide the best quality possible!
is there a way to make this two seater so my girl friend can ride with me. and add a sissy bar for that old school look
Old school bobbers didn't have sissy bars...
Would this work on a intruder ?
Can you email us a picture of your bike. Lance will be able to tell if it would work.
If you google blue collar bobbers you will see our website. Thanks, Lance at blue collar bobbers

@kless001
Thanks
I'll take the beautiful dog in the background. How much?
It's a 650. You could ride this around the world, even at 250...
