Producers and rappers are 2 different things. Its like a car, when you see a cool new model you praise the actual car but not the builders, designers, engineers and lawyers that were able to put the whole thing together. Behind the scenes people never get recognition, thats just the way the world works.
LP is authentic. That era that he and Nas are from were hard, like he said they're made out of steel from it, but it created very real, solid and genuine people. The Wu are another great example of this. RZA, GZA, ODB, Rae, Ghost, Meth. All of them.
