Thank you for another great tutorial. I can't wait to try this cake! It's so cute. MK, you're the only one I gladly watch the all the ads for (because you're little niece told me to and it makes me happy to support you :)
I love it it is so cute and beautiful at the same time I can't wait to try it could you just explain a little bit more to me about seizing the chocolate or do you have a video on that I don't want to make a mistake thank you for sharing and keep on caking
Hi Lorraine! So glad to hear you liked the cake :). And yes sure! So basically when you add too much moisture to chocolate it can seize and become very thick, so you can no longer use it to create designs like these. To prevent this, instead of using water based gel colours, it's best to use oil based gel colours as they will incorporate into the chocolate better without changing the consistency. Hope that helps :)
You're welcome Seemaa! And it would be okay, but keep in mind it will go soft when kept out at room temp as it is a chocolate ganache - so as long as the heart is not meant to be like a chocolate that is held/supposed to stay hard then it will be okay :). Otherwise it would be best to use melted chocolate :)
Lovely.... MK... How does your cake stay so straight? My cake generally is not straight so when I wrap it... The design goes haywire. My cake remains slightly broader at the bottom than the top
Thank you Rani! And ahh yes, a straight cake can be a bit tricky to achieve! In my case, more recently, I don't actually use any extra tools or anything to achieve the straight sides - I simply scrape cold buttercream and ensure that I am holding my cake scraper super straight (hold at a 90 degree angle). It can take some practice but with time you'll definitely get better at it :)
@@CakesbyMK we generally make whipped cream cakes here. So u mean to say that I should apply cream with a scraper, keeping the scraper straight. Right?
I love how you make things look so easy & doable 👏
Just love the cake!
Just wow ☺️♥️ Bangladesh 🇧🇩

Adorable! What type of white chocolate do you use?
Hi Veronica! I used a regular eating chocolate, mostly Cadbury Dream - I prefer the taste better :)
Does this design also work on a cake that has whopping cream around it instead of buttet cream?
I love it it is so cute and beautiful at the same time I can't wait to try it could you just explain a little bit more to me about seizing the chocolate or do you have a video on that I don't want to make a mistake thank you for sharing and keep on caking

This recipe for ganache does fix well with geometric heart mould ?
