I just came from Jonathan’s new video searching for Balogh gambit theory and you posted this. It’s a fun coincidence because the Balogh gambit is the exact same gambit, but after e4, not e3. You should look at both of them and make a juicy Budapest repertoire!
Ah that's so funny! Yes, I imagine this would also work very well against e4 instead of e3 :) there's definitely enough here to have a great exciting gambit no matter what White does

You missed a classic sacrifice in this opening you want to take credit for ; 1.h3??-Nxf2! 2. Kxf2-Bg3+! 3.Kxg3-Qxd1 -+ Not being judgemental as I admire your tactical vision and attacking style, but I think you missed one there. Cheers!

William, you should take a look at the Von Hennig Gambit against the Caro-Kahn. It very similar to Von Popiel. You would crush people with it.

It doesn't work at all in this position. Nxf2, Kxf2. Bg3, Ke2 and you just lose a knight for nothing.
